Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Couldn't be precious Nacho!
Stealing them blind!
And he gets to be in the cell?
kidnapping them blind!
JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA. I don't know why that sounded so absurdly cute
Are you telling me that the doll just happens to be gone like that?
Jimmy was smart and all, but you got to love the fact, that the cops were pretty competent here, too. Taxis checked, missing doll already noted, didn't dismiss the theory out of hand, etc.
Except later they tried to blackmail Jimmy with an assault charge and called his theory “bs”. They were trying to take the easy way out and scapegoat someone rather than put in the police work, something Mike recognized.
Definitely more realistic. Other shows like to make the cops dim to let the protagonist really shine.
and the snarky "what, you don't think that's possible?" after a perfectly rational hypothesis was the cherry on top
@@johndoe-ox7ns Lol more realistic is debatable
I like the fact that throughout the series they showed the cops weren't idiots.... and could catch clues just as quickly as anyone else. Like when Pryce's baseball cards got stolen, the cops quickly realized it was bigger than the cards.
Except these two were idiots. They immediately rejected Jimmy’s theory and worse tried to blackmail him with an assault charge later. Thankfully Mike was smart enough to see it was a credible theory.
@@matthewriley7826 i think its more than them only being idiots, but showing them as willfully ignorant bc they want nacho. they also knew it was credible but it wouldn't fit their narrative or endgoal
They weren't idiots, right in this clip they say the checked all the possible ways the family could've escaped. Plus, with the avidence present, it was far more likely that they were indeed kidnapped, rather them having gone into the woods by foot. They even ake Saul realize that in the situation that he describes, the 'kidnappers' might have just given the doll to the girl@@matthewriley7826
Two words. Squat Cobbler

To be fair, the cops story did make sense. Blood inside the car, nacho being a thief and connected to the cartel, stalking the Kettlemans for 2 days straight then they magically go missing?
You’re making it sound like the cops had NOOO reason to believe Nacho was the culprit. You’re silly.
From “my client didn’t do it” to “it wasn’t me it was Ignacio”
@@thechristianoubliette2920Well Walt did it, but with something else than ricin and Saul didn't do that.
And both times he was telling the truth
What an honest young man who just happened to fall in a tiny bit of trouble! Im sure this doesn't lead to a chain reaction of events which lead to practically everyone being dead.
Lol
God I hope not
You mean, if this didn't happen, nothing would happen? You don't think, in an alternative universe, there wouldn't be a slippin jimmy type of thing happening? Cmon, this is just a random filler episode
It helps to not only be sharp but to think like a criminal - right up Jimmy’s alley.
A criminal-lawyer, as Jesse said
ROBBING THEM BLIND!!! BUT NO NOT NACHO, NOT PRECIOUS NACHO!!!!
1:01 that’s a McDonald’s Smurfette toy from 2013. Yet this series takes place in 2002. The more you know!
Nerd
lmao I noticed that 2
Common vince L
Unbravo, Vince
xD
You can tell this was relatively early in Kim's arc because she's much more of a Scully about Jimmy's thought process, she doesn't implicitly trust him nearly as strongly as she would be in the later seasons.
Rewatching this and seeing Kim's lack of reaction about the doll tells a lot about her childhood and how she never got attached to things.
As much as Chuck was a menace to Jimmy, tje Kettlemans were one huge thorn in his side. Chuck pushed him away, but with the Kettlemans, Jimmy honed his skills.
Jimmy the detective
Just watched this episode for the first time , gotta say loved it man
Wow your late
Ya I need to rewatch this show again soon , haven't seent it ina long azz time .. is soo good
Fun fact: The black detective is played by the voice actor of Victor Vance is GTA Vice City Stories.
Nacho is not yo man.
The Stuart Little poster in the background is so powerful...
She interrupts him twice and asks for answers, but by interrupting him she prevents him from answering. Cutting error?
Probably no, that's just how humans act sometimes. It's not the most reasonable thing to do, but if you are caught up in the moment, you might start interupting someone.
Jimmy is as good a lawyer as Chuck. Just corrupt.
I wouldn't say corrupt
Maybe morally questionable
Chuck is essentially corrupt too, maybe even moreso than Jimmy at first.
definitely corrupt@@idanlewenhoff2295
Jimmy morally questionable, Saul corrupt.
Ethically speaking
Epic.
Lalo Salamanca in tha cut , thats a scary sight !!
Nacho
What exactly happened to the Kettlemans again?
It's as the man says they kidnapped themselves.
Nacho shot them
@@supersaiyanzero386Good
Basically, they went camping.
Mrs Kettleman joined a neo-catholic doomsday cult
