      Thanks Mike, better open your kit up and make a start, there are so many little builds you can do one at a time while waiting for paint and glue to dry on the bigger builds.

  • @MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage

    That is a cool set! I don't have that one at the Hobby Store, but I do have the walls. - i like your chipped yellow paint on that hoist. that's how they really look after years of use. - that red backed swivel chair...I've sat in a few of those over the years! LOL!
    Gee...that garage is so full of stuff that I wonder if I should book an appointment with you to send you some model car auto repairs.
    I have a 1941 AMT Plymouth Businessman's coupe that I painted black and built when I was 8-12 years old. I was comparing it to a metallic red one I built 25+ years later. Anyway, yesterday I had to move my black Plymouth and I grabbed it by the sides to lift it up when the old glue in it let go and I watched in horror as the entire interior, motor and frame dropped out and fell from a height of @ 40 inches right on to the concrete floor of my basement! Parts shot out everywhere and it's like a "Lego Explosion". I picked up the 20+ parts that were once a full model kit and put them in the back seat. Do you think your mechanics can fix that?

    • @ModelCarMinion
      @ModelCarMinion  Před 4 lety +1

      The minion mechanics can fix it but it may not look the same when they finish, never can tell what they will do. Sorry to hear it was wrecked, hope you can put it back together, maybe better than new. That red swivel chair is based on a real one I have here that a neighbour was throwing out.

    • @MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage
      @MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage Před 4 lety

      @@ModelCarMinion Thank you...actually, in a way it is good that it broke. i was young and didn't scrape the paint off at the contact points...or didn't do enough of it in places. So when it "Broke", it really "let go"...as in it separated instead of "broke".
      The second "good part" is that I have some of those old driver figures from the 1932 "Gangbusters" Chrysler. One of the guys fits nicely in the driver's seat, can hold the steering wheel and doesn't bump his head on the roof when I put him back in the car.
      I am planning on doing a diorama and this "Accident" actually worked out well for that.

    • @ModelCarMinion
      @ModelCarMinion  Před 4 lety

      @@thefalloutshelter7799 I had to look up the Joe's Gas Station kit pictures, that kit can get expensive. The service station I plan to do will look much like it but with 2 service bays on the left side of the office part. I hope you don't give up on your diorama plans.
