I've had a DD, eno and a couple of other brands but last year during the lockdown I decided to make my own. It's made from a material called HyperD 1.6 imported from the US, made all my own suspension(whoopie slings&tree straps) out of the dyneema. It has an adjustable ridgeline with a separate mossy net, and it's 11 x 5 feet and is a fantastic sleep as it allows a great diagonal sleep. Great vid

Hey mate, I was thinking of doing the same since I've got plenty of time and not as much money on my hands, plus I want specific things from several brands. I've a few Qs.
What did you use for attaching the hammock to the suspension?
Was it hard to make all that? How long did it take?
Has everything held up over time or did you end up breaking/tearing something and regretting it?
Are you a bikepacker/bicycle tourist too?

How has your experience been in using a sleeping pad inside the double layer! It seems easier then having to mess with an under quilt. Thanks

£44.90p isn't bad for a hammock- obviously you would have to but a tarp to go over it and something to fit underneath in winter to keep out the cold.

Has anyone used a sleeping pad inside the double layer? I'm new at hammock camping. But, it seems like it would be easier to use a sleeping pad in a double layer hammock, the having to deal with an under quilt. I'd be interested in hearing others opinions. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Dan. Been into hammock camping for a while myself, but have had 3 hammocks that have given out under my 15 st + weight, why are most hammocks made for skinny little people? Think I'm going to check this out mate, appreciated.

I always like your videos Dan because i like you as you are very funny to Watch. But don’t like the look of that hammock it has no bug net and that ridge line looks like it wouldn’t last long with a frost. Think I’ll stick to DD Hammocks. Hi Dan! Great to see you trying a different means of getting outdoors 👍 just for info and not trying to make a granny suck eggs😂 if you want to know anything about proper hammocking get yourself over to Shug Emery’s YT channel you will become an expert in no time at all I can promise. atvb Stay safe, regards from Clive in deepest Dorset ps you will get the best comfort out of that style of hammock by a diagonal lay, different from sleeping in a dd or snugpac hammock 👍

I’ve been hearing a lot lately about longer hammocks being more comfortable, something about a flatter lay. Adventures With The Marine talked about it recently, worth a few mins to see his demonstration.
