It really sucks when you watch a tom follow some hens come from half a mile across the field to within 20 yards from you, but he's in the neighbors field and theres nothing you can do about it haha

Nothing gets the heart pumping like sitting in the woods and hearing that drumming. Not just hearing it, but feeling it in your chest. Hard to believe a bird makes harder bass than my car speakers lmao

I love when my pet turkey does his spit and "bwoooomp". First time I heard it i was amazed. Never knew turkeys could do that. I love my turkeys and im learning so much from them.
Amy Lease I was given two baby turkeys. I raise chickens so people think its the same thing.....I know nothing about turkeys. My white one feathers look all,crazy right now and when he stands to his little legs are wobbly and he seems unsteady. He lays down a lot even when he's eating. Also he drops one of his wing feathers when he's walking. Does this sound like normal turkey behavior? Thanks in advance for your reply.

By far the best spit/drum footage on youtube, amazing audio. Up until recently, spit/drum had never been caught on tape, it was so hard to record prior to modern equipment. I present you, the Thunder Chicken ,ladies and gentlemen.

My tame male turkey would strut for months at a time but was to large and clumsy to mount our female turkey. He was all about strutting and drumming

I couldn't believe when I first heard that deep bass sound males make when they strut. You can hear it clearly here, right after they "spit" and move forward. Like "Fft... bwwoooOOOOOP!" Amazing that sound came from a turkey! Pretty incredible and unique birds. Great footage.
I'm obsessed with that sound. For some reason that sound is comforting to me.

Ive shot alot of gobblers and that spit has gotten a few sneaky ones killed but i can't hear drumming i can barely make it out on here even with headphones in. I actually watched this video simply in hopes of determining what drumming sounds like because shane and thp and others i watch always point it out on videos and i never hear anything when they do.
I am so hard of hearing I have never heard a turkey drumming until this video . THANKS. Yes I do turkey hunt and enjoy it very much especially the breast and gravy.🤣🤣😃😃😆😆😆😂😂

Everytime I try to explain the sound of a turkey drumming people think im crazy. Its my absolute favorite part of turkey hunting. Gobbling a close second obviously

The first time I heard that sound a gobbler was in the morning mist spitting and drumming. I couldnt see him but I knew he was very close and it felt like my heart was going to just out of my chest. Finally he stepped into the clear about 12 yards away.

This is the first video I couls ACTUALLY HEAR the fwooomp drumming and i tealize its because my tv alone or phone speakers cant produce that level of bass. I only heard it because my tv's external speaker is pkugged in and has the bass up for music. I finally recognize that sound in the woods now. It seems almost alien.
I must have hearing damage or something cuz I can hear the click, but not the drum. I had two spitting and drumming In front of me this year and I still couldn't hear it! My buddy did hear it while sitting right next to me.

It’s probably because your speakers can’t produce the bass frequency. Try listening to it with a different device with better sound.

Kind of jealous of everyone who can hear the drumming part. I can watch the chest move right after the "spit" (that I can hear) but there is nothing I can hear after. In 20 years of turkey hunting, I've never heard it in the woods either.

I killed a turkey this morning and I could’ve reached out with my hand and grabbed him he was so close. When he drummed, it vibrated the ground! I shot him at 15 yards and his head flew off lol.
