  • So jimmy / jimmy_kb and I went to go and meet another explorer Tom checkout his channel he's hilarious and a good explorer / @exploringwithtom6 at this abandoned mansion/convent in Liverpool. Thinking it was abandoned turns out its just been sold and there were workmen inside so we were trying to keep quiet but we ended up getting caught but they were really kind and let us look around. There's not much to see the place is pretty smashed up and there's been a fire, we all know I'm no Steven Spielberg so sorry about crap filming and editing, here's the only bit of history I could find. Enjoy
This is a regency house, Knoll Park built in the 1820’s by Thomas Foster who was the Town Clerk of Liverpool. He chose himself a fantastic location because we are now on the highest part of Liverpool, although in those days of course this wasn’t part of Liverpool.
"Next to the main gates there’s a Grecian style lodge, like a temple. These would have been the main gates where the carriages would have swept in. A very nice corner of the property. It’s something you wouldn’t notice easily which is why it’s very important to walk around an area”
"The house would have had a marvellous view, as we can see right over looking east towards Manchester. That’s one reason why the merchants came here because it was an excellent location.”

I must've spent 75% of my childhood in abandoned buildings and stuff around Liverpool. Nowadays though they've either been knocked down or renovated into something else. We used to go in houses, pubs, churches, warehouses, garages, office blocks, tunnels, mansions, jail's you name it I've probably been in an abandoned one lol. They're so rare to find now though lol.

You missed out a lot of this building including the basement. Terrifying down there, pure old stone floors and stone structures. Including what appeared to be some sort of columns and rows that were around 6ft long each what resembled something you'd put a body in but I'm not too sure. Also, Knolle Park was a covent for nuns back in the day and more recent times it was a children's home with sandy a lot of child abuse cases

Where about is this? I live in liverpool and me and some others are trying to find abandoned places to explore. Theres an ababdoned university in mossley hill which you can get into aswell, it would be great if you could make a video there but police came when i went so if u do go be carefull. Also there should be a window with a board which i pulled off, not sure if it is still detached but it leads to what i think is a sports hall. If the police do come theres a gate on the opposite side of the building which you can jump over to escape👍
