We use 5 lb. and 11 lb. propane cylinders to run our Coleman Triton stove, instant hot water heater, and portable propane fire pit. WAY better than those expensive 1 lb. propane bottles!
I refill my smaller tanks, way cheaper... pop on the adapter and it's easy peasy... I carry several of the one pounders, much easier to transport... the one pound tanks new are anywhere from $5-10 apiece... I refill for a few cents... also saves the landfills....
