    Since the tide is super low, After your pour salt, if the clam doesn't rise after 5-10 sec....pour some water down the hole for faster results.

      To add to this, salt does hurt them. The salt we use is of a higher concentration than sea water. But they are also clams. The average animal slaughterhouse does way worse

    this is why razor clams come out when there's salt. they think it's seawater because of it's saltiness.

      @@Fontari they do not leave the seabed to feed ....ever .. they syphon sea water through 2 small tubes level with sea bed , they evacuate the sea bed when salted as it irritates them and is the only way of evading the irritation , although often retreating deeper in the sand also achieves this !!

      I use them only for fishing , never try to cook.

      Hi . I used same table salt. Make sure that razor fish are in place where you trying... Ask local people and then try ;)

      Check your state laws since in some states it is actually illegal to clam at night. But I am sure it would work the same :P

    Me and my friend tried this, in UK, just like in this video but it didn't work. No razor fish came out. Any tips or anything we could be doing wrong?

      Hi . Maybe they are not in all places . I thing they are far from the shore and it must be very low tide . Here where I collecting them it was low tide 0.1m . Try ask local fishermans , where razors are and then try trick with salt ;)

      We’ve always used a very strong saline solution, ie water and salt. The water helps the salty solution to go deeper into the sand.

      Hehe takie ślimaki , na niektórych plażach można znaleźć tu w Irlandii. Wystarczy zlokalizować , wsypać trochę soli do dziury i wyłażą :) Dobra przynęta na dorsza , okonia morskiego...
