#3Dprinting #survival #DIY - Jak na to + styl
Honestly, watching someone who is not a pro survival person try to survive is potentially more satisfying than a pro. Especially an engineer who’s enthusiastic about the process.
Also potentially more dangerous. Do not try at home kids. lol
@@Bdoll1993 how is it more dangerous
@toddy_rblx If you don't know what you're doing when camping off the land by yourself, you increase the potential of getting hurt and not getting help. It just depends on your level of knowledge with this kind of stuff. Survival is hard.
@@Bdoll1993 This video was more about entertainment than survival. The danger level is about the same as sleeping in your backyard when you were a kid. Lol, he had more technology in that wheel barrel than NASA had to land on the moon!
@jgoo4572 yeah that's my point and no its not like sleeping in your back yard. What if he slipped and broke a leg, or hit his head. He'd be by himself in the middle of the woods. Bears and cougars are also a thing. So yeah this was meant for fun I get that but that doesn't change the fact that if some kid sees this video and tries to repeat and gets hurt cuz they don't know what they're doing.
Came for the 3d printing. Stayed for the survival.
Same lol
Yes me too😂
Underrated comment!
@mrhall1989 no no, you stayed for the survival and the 3d prints were the friends we made along the way🥴
Stayed for the froge
never forget this guy walked eveywhere twice, once to setup the camera for us, and again with the wheelbarrow.. no 3 times to pick up the camera again. what a guy
Um, you sure he didn’t have anyone helping out?
@@joscrase9564I don’t think so but if he did have someone with him I wouldn’t mind 😅😅
he pulled off a Les Stroud
He probably using a drone🤔

Hey, a quick note about your fire ring.
More important than leaving no trace is avoiding wildfires. In order to do that, you have to dig up the ground a bit in your fire ring. While not common, many forest fires have been started by surface fires heating up underground root systems, which then carry the smoldering ember up into the tall grass and trees later. These roots can hold an ember for weeks, so the damage may not be immediately obvious. This is especially common in grasslands and meadows, like the one you've camped in. So in order to camp responsibly, always dig a fire pit, that way there are no underground root systems under your fire.
good tip!
its true you're supposed to dig out a pit, but there has been a lot more rain in this region than normal the past year. I think it'll be fine for the early season, and the fire will create the ring naturally. Safety first though! Forest Fires are terrifying! Your comment is very important to those watching this who don't know any better. I am up in WA state and digging under the pit is definitely smart! Sometimes though this early grass will creep into the old firepits on the family property, and we just burn it off. Still, better safe than sorry.
Thank You, 🙏🏻 🤠👍🏻
I didn't knew that either.

Acorns. First meal back is pancakes & maple syrup.....You can take the man out of Canada but you can't take Canada out of the man.
It was soooo good 😭
I’ll take that as a challenge
@@MorleyKertSometimes when Canada plays sports against my home country I hope Canada wins 😂
Acorns. I almost felt how magical those pancakes were and I was very comfortably sitting in my home. Great storytelling.
This is my favorite of yours so far. Please consider a part two with snares around the squirrel holes or a gill net or a mini crossbow.
Your positive attitude, your smile and your energy of gratefulness and thanking the frogs for their sustenance, it's all so beautiful, and very rare to see. I am an instant fan.
Ripfrogs 2023-2024
I just want to make it clear that the frogs didn't move away, you just f-king ate them all🤣
Acorns
Yes yes and yes
Just when I thought I had watched possibly every type of survival challenge 🤘
Initially i thought "this guy went to camp for 2 weeks to be in the woods"? I was in the woods every day as a kid...THEN he ate that boiled f-n frog and i was like...Here's my Man Card! You WIN!
“It’s gonna be really nice to have time without technology”
*also him with a computer and phone*
Thats legit the gimmick of the video
@@Theatreal...over...Cerby12well yeah there’s obviously more context that makes it make sense but when you leave that out fir comedic effect, it makes a decent joke.
Tip: If your ever in a survival situation, it is hard to live on frogs BUT they can be used as good bait to get other/more filling foods. A frog + a stick + a shoelace or other string like material (if available) can make for a good fishing pole and bait.
A little of every small thing should be used to get something bigger.
1. Eats frogs in nearby creek.
2. Wonders where they went.
Me: You ate them.
lol
Was thinking the same 😅
Didn't expect to tear up at that hug with Eden, but I did! Well done Morley! May you be showered with acorns hereafter!
The moment i read the title the first thing i did was to subscribe. Such content is what youtube was made for
❤️❤️

i love the positivity, even without food you still find a reason to move and keep going with a smile. really awesome
And u believed, he could do all that wo food ? Omg
i mean basically working with clay/ceramics was pretty much the first "3d printer" type thing. to many people sleep on what can be done with clay.
I dont think you can work clay out in the wild though. You'd need a fire far hotter than any natural open fire could get in order to get it to harden. But working with clay can be pretty cool, if you have a kiln for it.
@@unironicallydel7527 you can fire clay with a small fire. There are also different lvls of firing clay and the higher temp you get the higher firing you can do. Also increasing the temp of a fire is pretty easy with some people just blowing on it with tubes or making some kind of pump blower. That and you can just make charcoal and use that. Or both. But yeah you can fire clay perfectly fine with a standard small bonfire. I actually have a small Jack skellington head I made by just dropping it in my bonfire while I was drinking with my family. No blowing no charcoal just a small wood fire.
I also made a little ceramic water filter doing this. Just mixing sawdust and clay together before firing it.
Acorns. Congrats, Morley! Thanks for taking us with you.
@Tim45-rs6xz😂 yeah and missed him thankfully
When you knew you couldn't kill a bird or a squirrel, you probably then realized that you were going to be hungry for the entire time.
Acorns! This was so cool! First time seeing one of your vids. 3DP is really cool and I love that you incorporated it into this survival video. Keep it up!
one of my favorite episodes. you combined everything i like into one video, 3d printing, survival. Really enjoyed this video. Hope to see more survival and outdoor videos

What an adventure. Your voice and pacing of your videos are so easy to listen to! Great work :)
I will never forget that this moment when I watched this video I felt so much compassion and gratitude for the things you and nature does for us. Acorns
Honestly, this was one of the most unique and satisfying videos about 3d printing I've seen in a long time. It made me think about how I can start designing some solutions for problems around my place
Acorns! I loved this video so much Morley. I’ve been into survival shows my entire life so this was awesome to watch. I know this took a lot of effort but man this would be an amazing series!!! Glad you made it out and great job on the video!
You had me at wheelbarrow
PS the wildlife hatchet from Granforsbruk is the BEST hatchet ever. I love mine.
Acorn soup
came for the surival and now im staying for the premise
Printing a hook and sharpen on stone or a spear to put on a stick to aid with hunting and fishing would have been extremely useful. Paracord is an essential tool in survival as it has many uses including braiding it for finishing line or binding tools!
Insane quality of the video ❤ was nice to watch and also pretty informative
ACORNS! You did an amazing job. Always wanted to do a challenge like this, but never thought of doing it with a 3D printer. Keep innovating man!
Thanks Jonathan!
Acorns, I came with low expectations, ended up glued to the screen.
I know the gratitude for having food you felt very well as I was travelling through the wilderness by bike. You brought me back that feeling, and it's actually a really really good one.
Thanks for the experience and your scientific approach of your exploration. It moved me.
pretty cool and relaxing video to watch! 😌
Homer Simpson yelling, “Neeeerrrrd!”
But this is both pretty funny and yet very interesting.
Acorns, Acorns, Acorns, Oh and I would've tried to make a trap for the froggies, and maybe a fidget-toy or puzzle to keep me mentally occupied when feeling down.
Great video, love ya, have a good one and welcome home haha
I really enjoyed this, this is by far the most interesting video that I viewed this year. Keep it up❤
woohoo! Thanks for watching :)
love that you did this.
ACORNSSS!!
CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE WATCHED THE WHOLE VIDEO AND LEARNED SO MANY THINGS IN THAT AND HAVING TO APPRECIATE NATURE AND EVERYTHING IS TRULY BLESSING PLUS YOUR ENERGY AND VIBE IS ONTO ANOTHER LEVEL MAN COMPARE TO OTHER SURVIVAL VIDEOS THAAT PEOPLE DO. PLEASE DO MAKE A SERIES OF THIS I REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING IT.
This video was so inspiring and interesting, you are actually incredible and I would absolutely love to see more videos of these.
This Is frickin awesome love your videos dude!
We watch the History series "Alone," a survival competition show where people stay alone for days. I tell you, your environment was much better than in the show, but you lasted longer than a bunch of people in the show over several seasons. Bravo!
"Alone" was a big inspiration! Thanks for watching :)
Imagine being chased by a bear and you need a weapon and while the bear is chasing you, you have to wait 24 hours for your 3D printer to make a weapon💀
I like your videos, but this one I Absolutely Loved! To find a few Acorns at a time when you absolutely needed it was Amazing!!! I really thought you were going to find a fish in that trap. Oh well better luck next time. Awesome video. Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you so much!
Bro this was the most amazing video I have watched to the end of in a long while thanks for the great video ❤ and Acorns
Thank you so much!
Definitely wanna see more vids like this
This Is In The Top 3 Best Videos I’ve Watched
Literally glued to the screen😂
I'm a little surprised you didn't try printing a net for the stream on Day 2. The tiny basket, I wouldn't expect that to hold a sizable fish, whereas a net could possibly just corral some to make spearfishing (using a sharpened stick, not a 3d-printed spear) viable. Then again, I am such a city boy, I probably shouldn't be commenting. :) Also, avocado is such a great radio handle. :)
Excellent insight imo❤
I didn’t see a single fish in the river, so I’m not sure what I would use a net for. Unless it was a big gill net to act as a trap.
@@MorleyKert good point. Maybe if there was already a natural choke point, or a rock funnel, then a small net? But that's a lot of work for a place with no visible fish. Would love to see a part 2 where you apply insights from this time to see what could be improved. Dosnt need to be a full week of no food though haha
@@MorleyKert mostly fish try to stay hidden, that water looked like a great place for some
Arguably your best video, wow! Amazing concept, execution and overall presentation!
Acorns! I really enjoyed watching this. It’s the first time I’ve seen one of your videos and was sat glued to my seat. I’d been watching ‘dual survival’ and this was a recommendation. Glad it was, great watch 💯👌
what a strange idea... i love it :D
Acorns! btw i'm genuinely surprised you didnt try to 3d print a snare trap, or instead of a cup you could've 3d printed a bottle with a seal out of that flexible filament and a screw on lid.
I hope this video pops off. So much effort 🫣
Came back post Frog genocide.. yikes.
this is honestly my favorite survival vid so PLEASE make more videos similar to this
Feel llike I need to mention that this video is an hour long and it flew by. Honestly such a cool experience, and glad you shared it with us.
Love to hear that! Thanks for watching
best video i’ve ever seen we need more of these type of videos from you this video will 100% blowup
How many grams of weed did you take along?
Not enough 😂
"Alright, we are officially 3d print in the woods." omg, that is such a funny yet mind-blowing sentence.
Acorns. Probably more people should be camping. Because missing that food shows how much we really take the necessities for granted
9:28 the "flint" is the part that's made out of mischmetal -- this alloy of rare earth elements will burn in air. (Note that this is the opposite of traditional flint and steel, where the flint causes bits of steel to flake off and burn in air.) The magnesium is pretty much just magnesium alloyed with aluminum.
I thought it was ferrocerium, or are they just different names for the same thing?
@@bs9692 You're correct -- the "flint" is made from ferrocerium, which is an alloy of mischmetal (~95%) and iron (~5%). Mischmetal is predominantly cerium (55%), but also contains other chemically similar elements like lanthanum (~25%), neodymium (~15%), praseodymium (~5%), and other rare earth elements. These elements are not easily separated from each other, so they are typically used as a mixture unless a specific rare earth element is required. (This is also why so many different elements -- four! --
are named after the town of Ytterby in Sweeden -- they were all mixed together in the ore mined there!)
Thanks you the extra information
Printing plastic in the woods. What an idea.
I love how that cat just suddenly gains full consciousness at 21:05
Also this was a fun vid to watch!
This is a different approach to a survival video and I’m here for it!
2 minutes ago, my timeing is odd
Dude, next time pack some energy bars and leave those cute little frogos alone!!
@donners304 I literally almost wrote "leave those frogs alone" too 😂
Never gone a day without eating? Bro, sometimes I just forget to eat and go: "Huh.. I should probably eat something.."
Man, i could never. I hope to see more of this.
I love this spin on camping!!! Amazing video!
This whole video is a vibe. You're a person I totally would hang out with
You literally brought everything you would need to survive 7 days. + a 3d printer.
Wow! Such a great video. I really enjoyed this.
Damn, those *acorns* must have hit different. It is honestly very nice to see someone appreciating every little thing.
3 AM and this pops up. Suddenly I’m not tired anymore.
I love wilderness videos, and honestly, I need to watch more, but I like this fun twist with the 3D printer!
Acrons. Great video. I learned a lot from this video. Thanks so much for doing this experiment.
This is for all the days where I just go ”hmm, I wonder if I should live in the woods with my 3d printer”
Acorns, awesome video me and my son loved watching your challenging week👍
Came here to watch you make a table out of pallets, haven’t watched a video sense, but this video came out and I haaad to. I enjoyed it sooooo much, great work!!
I've never watched your videos, this is the first time. Thank you for being honest (in the 1 minute of the video) about what you're actually taking with you. The number of videos I've seen like "NO FOOD, NO WATER, 3 WEEKS!!" giving people the impression that it's an extreme minimalist survival adventure, and then they have 15 other tools with them. They're like "No, literally, all this is about is no food, no water, but I have $400 in other survival gear. I'm not a savage." Thumbs up. We'll see how I feel about subbing after I watch the rest of the video.
Incredible video!! I don't know if I've ever watched a full 1hr CZcams video fully and be entertained the entire time.
Acorns...I think I would have print some water shoes. I also would have made completely unnecessary things, like a lattern cover for the phone flashlight that would cast cool light patterns. That would have kept me entertained at night, keeping me from thinking of food, and falling asleep designing so many different versions in my dreams lol.
This was very enjoyable to watch. I love perspective resets like this.❤
i love this video its intresting and looks like you had lots of fun! keep it up!
What a fun video. I especially loved the juxtaposition between surviving in the wild and the technology of 3D printing, very good. Acorns!!
This was really great! As a 3D printing professional and engineer, this was really fun. You are also just such a genuine human. ACORNS! :) Hope to see more stuff like this from you.
I love this dude and hell he isn’t a pro but does not care and bring us what he wants
Acorns. Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing.
incredible project! support!
Subscribed for the frog arc. He has the idea, and ends up catching a frog! Then, he gets cocky around the frog soup. he catches 7, and goes all "I'm king of the frogs!" Finally - near the end - he becomes more grateful. the frogs have been leaving, and he knows they're rarer now.
Acorns!!!! Nice video! brave project for sure!!! would love to see future 3D project/printings based on your experience and needs that you print at home with more time and then got out to test them.
That fishing trap was smart, I think it could be fun to design and print an improved v2 and test it
Acorns! What a cool experiment and a fun, safe way to do it! I cannot imagine living off of just a few frog legs like that. I did a 36 hour famine for charity once and that was SO HARD. You rocked this and had such good energy! Now I need to go start binging the rest of your videos because this was the first one I've seen!
Thank you so much!
This is the first video i have seen by you and i love it.
Woohoo! Stick around :)
HAHAHA Finally! Someone actually thought of this idea and executed it. xD This should have a perma series because it has endless possibilities.
Holy Acorns! And frogs! I loved seeing the combo of low/high tech solutions/ideas🎉
Acorn!!! this was such an awesome video. I really enjoyed it and would love to see more Contant like this just good natured and queen at the same time learning some interesting survival techniques.

This is such an interesting and unique concept for a video. hats off to you!
Thank you!
ACOOOOORNS. Good job, I always wanted to do a survival challenge like this.
I stumbled upon this video and was like sure why not. I was going to use it for background noise then i got interested and started watching it. I couldn’t put it down. Great video good job. You deserve a subscribe.
Well this is cool! Hell yeah man can you do some more camping content?? Love it!
Acorns - maybe 3D print a whistle or animal call- or a fish net - or a spear- great video!
fun video - Thanks for making it
