I actually have the comfort seat and I don't find it comfortable at all. I will actually be taking it off this weekend and replacing it with a custom seat. I appreciate the video because now I know what the clips look like. I will lift the shell using your other video as a guide. thanks
what kind of custom seat are you going to replace it with ? I was looking at a Corbin but it is over $400.00

Nice but seems a little costly. I had an Arlen Ness front and back seat with a back rest for my Valkyrie! It was expensive too but it was comfortable all day long and the backrest oils be moved to the drivers seat when my wife stayed home. Nice upgrade, good stuff cost money! 😉

Hey Bill! Awesome install video! I agree this vid was VERY needed. It seems like most have a difficult time (I think the directions on most Can Am products) are not great. I would love to get your feedback after you have ridden on it for a while. It has mixed reviews. Some say the small comfort change doesn't match the huge price. Others swear by the seat!!
I will have the bike back in a couple weeks it is getting some new custom items that I am not allowed to talk about done to it.. all will be revealed very soon.. I'll let you know after I ride on the bike for a little while..

@@scott-lc8xc yes the new comfort seat both passenger and rear are very much worth it extremely comfortable after a 2-hour ride night and day difference
@@BLRTUNING Thanks man. Also wondering about the seat height. I have the 1-Up back rest and have been reading that this seat sits about 2" higher than the stock 900. (non Rally) Since the 1-Up is small to begin with, wondering if that will make the back rest uncomfortable as it already sits low. Thoughts?
I would expect a $300 passenger seat to hold up better than that....

The comfort seat was easy to install. The only question i got is does the comfort seat lift up a lil bit after being installed? I mean towards the back towards the passenger side. Mine does a lil bit and makes almost a clicking sound but its not broken. I pushed the seat all the way down and i even sat on it. I wonder if thats how its supposes to be!!!

If you take a look at my CZcams channel I do have an install video it takes about maybe 15 minutes. Very easy all you need is a spring puller for the exhaust springs and a 15 mm socket. I don't know how the pricing is for a Canadian purchase but you can check out the exhaust over at my friends at www.blrtuning.co

The dealer wanted to charge $450 to install seats on my Ryker.
Yeah it's expensive. We charge $125
Is the passenger comfort seat have the same install method? I have the stock passenger seat with the foldable back rest. I really hate to remove the passenger pegs and reinstall them on the new seat.
The pigs that come with it are exactly the same the install is exactly the same
Does the comfort seat give any extra leg room? I want the solo, but they made it incompatible with the max mount 🤦🏼♂️
Not really. It doesn't really lift you up at all or anything like that it's just got a little bit of extra padding. It's quite a bit more comfortable but it's not going to change your seating position
Great install Bill. I love the tip about pinching the clips with a rubber band to reinstall the seat. I need to get a comfort seat soon. I am waiting to see if a better aftermarket one comes out that is less expensive but the original comfort seat is really good. I may bite the bullet and buy one.

Hi, ist this the black Driverseat with the BRP #219400795? The colour Looks Like gray.
It's gray and it's the standard BRP high-end or comfort seat one it's almost like a dark charcoal color I guess you'd call it charcoal gray..
How do you reinstall the OEM seat without taking apart the Ryker at all???? How would you get the rubber band or paper clips off?
From my understanding and from what I've experienced the only way to properly do it is to open up the clamshell body it's kind of a pain in the rear I wouldn't try it any other way though as I've seen a lot of them get torn and destroyed trying to not do it that way..

Yes you will have to open the clamshell body to release the clips from underneath.. I have a CZcams video showing how to open the clamshell body..

I have the regular seat and backrest. I don't need all the extra pegs and etc. Why can't I take my back rest off my original and attach it?
Not sure exactly what you're talking about this bike does not come with a backrest from the factory so I don't know what you mean by original

Bill, after about a year, how has the comfort seat for you the driver and the passenger held up? Has it met your expectations or have they disappointed you with the comfort level?
The comfort seat is a huge upgrade from the stock factory seats that come on the 900 or the 600 model I would say the comfort seat is even better than the stock factory seat that comes on the rally model as well...
Well worth the investment my butt seems to like it..

Seems like it might be easy for someone to remove this seat while you're enjoying a burger or meal.
If someone wants something bad enough they'll take it no matter how hard it is to remove or easy

No we have not done that yet

I don't believe I did a video showing the rear passenger seat but if you do a quick Google search on CZcams there is quite a few videos
I tried to look for one but i only see the stock install i have the comfort passenger but for some reason it wont go all the back so i can lock it
@@jasty9335 the passenger comfort seat would install exactly the same as the stock factory rear seat. I have the comfort seat as well and as long as you push down firmly and then shove it backwards sometimes you have to actually slam it backwards then it will latch correctly

How do you remove the comfort seat?
You have to open the clamshell body.. then you have to release the tabs from underneath if you try to pull it up any other way it will most likely rip.. I have a CZcams video that will show you how to open the clamshell body....

The bottom of my comfort seat has plastic clips. You said yours are metal?
The stock seat that comes on the rally and the 600 and 900 are plastic clips or basically like a foam material that is easily to move around and get them off the ones that come on the comfort seat are metal
Not sure why mine are plastic. I installed it today and one of the clips broke off.

It all depends on the backrest. I don't know because I haven't used one of the driver's backrest so you'll have to do some further research. I know some backrest will work with the seat and some will not
