    NERD ALERT: If you are a vacuum nerd (like me) and you are wondering why I didn't mention the fog filtration test in this video, but I did mention the particle test, it's because this is the first time I have had to do the particle test in a while. Generally, if a vacuum perfectly passes the fog test, I will not do the particle test because a perfect pass on the fog test means it will almost certainly pass the particle test as well. Sometimes though, like in this case, I noticed a teeny tiny bit of fog during the fog test, so a particle test was in order. As I said in the video, the HX1 perfectly passed the particle test, so we ended up in the same place. The point is, I don't like doing the particle test if I don't have to since it is so messy. The special dust I use has particles from 0 microns and up in it, so it is VERY fine and it basically ruins the vacuum unless you super deep clean it. So I avoid it when possible.

    Love your reviews so much! And as I have seen all your reviews that I think it would be great to see a significant test in your review, "Cyclone filtration efficiency", it is very important to make sure the vacuum keep great suction power while in use, and I'd love to see which product is good enought to compare with dyson.

  • @SaitekFreak999
    @SaitekFreak999 Před rokem +4

    I got the HX2 version and really like it. The vacuum pulled such an incredible amount of dust out of my carpet that even my corded canister vacuum did not remove. I also like the low center of gravity that you mentioned and that it is very quiet and has a non-irritating pitch to its sound. I noticed the flaws in the cleaner head though, it can really scratch the floor with small stones that get lodged in it. Contrary to your review, I love the emptying mechanism, as the vacuum will stand on its own and you can just take it off with one hand. You dont have to take the cleaning head off or anything like you do with Dysons for example.

  • @Rokannon
    @Rokannon Před 2 lety +22

    This is a great vacuum cleaner. Allow me to share some of my impressions. I had a Dyson before and I can assure you that Miele is much better. Main pros for me: Miele is much less noisy. It just puts much less stress on your ears which is great. I'm not sure if it's a suction problem or anything but Dyson was having problems with picking cat litter box pieces and it's rotating brush was pushing these pieces away which drived me crazy. Miele has a rubber strip underneath the brush which I think prevents this from happening. Not sure if it was mentioned in the video but rotating brush in Miele recongizes when you're doing carpet and it starts to rotate faster which is really cool. Of course it does come without some disatvantages: Dyson vacuum cleaner felt sturdier to be honest and it was much easier to disassemble. When you reassemble Miele it feels like some pieces are jammed together. Miele dust container is suprisingly uncomfortable to clean. At first I even thought that I am doing something wrong. It feels like it's just not enough space inside the container for dust to come out easily.

      One trick I've used is if the dirt is stuck in the bin you can twist the top one notch further and the filter assembly will lift out of the bin and scrape the shroud like a dyson. After your done the whole thing sits back in the container and twists back to close.

      Not really a pro. The trigger on the Dyson is designed for stop start vacuuming, and it needs only the weight of your hand. The stop-start method saves a few seconds here and there which add up to minutes extra run-time.

      I am waiting for them to add a hair cutter as the electrolux has. I have long hair and the cutter is amazing. I also felt the cleaning of the basket was clunky and messy so hoping they fine tune that. The base model is reduced to $600 at the moment and am tempted to get just cos I am tired of Electrolux only lasting 4 years or so. Plus Electrolux flings bigger bits and pieces around the floor. Its a lot to pay tho - much more and even more than the full vacuum cleaner.

  • @xoriginproductions
    @xoriginproductions Před 3 lety +2

    Great job as usual! The motor/ dust receptacle being down low probably also helps reduce dust near the face of the person vacuuming too. As a dust allergic person the dust reading is really valuable. Catch22 when vacuuming - stirring up the dust by vacuuming frequently or leaving it be for a bit longer and have less in the air...

    how about introducing a simple points system.
    e.g. you give 1 to 3 (nok, ok, good) points to each feature (deep cleaning, handling, price, battery etc), then you multiply all the points, weighted by feature and at the end you give the final result.
    Could it be doable? Or would be too much work? Thanks.

    I've owned 5 (technically 6, but my dyson v12 died in 2 days so ypu can count that if you want) in the past 2-3 years.
    I've used the top of the line vacuums from LG, Samsung, and Dyson, and even tried an Electrolux for a small bit, and all of them had issues, and all of them underperformed. Miele is the only company that has provided me with products (specifically in the vacuum space) that have performed above all else. I originally had the C3 and loved it, but they didn't have stick vacuums at the time.
    But after trialling top flagship vacuums from the 3 biggest players in the space, I'm by far happier with the purchase of my Miele cleaning products.
    One thing I will say is that despite their vacuums being incredible, I am still yet to try one of their robot vacuums, ecovacs ozmo 920 still going strong and haven't needed to replace that.
    However in Australia ecovacs is just so fsr ahead of the rest in marketing and availability it's likely I'll be moving to the X1 Omni, or Roborock s7 due to its hub.

I do have some trouble pressing both buttons simultaneously to remove the battery but you really don't need to do that as you can charge it in place.

    I have a Miele canister vacuum and have had it going on 5 years but I hate dragging it around, getting the hose caught, etc. With a new overly furry cat I have been looking for something quick and easy to keep the fur down. I looked at this vacuum and I have to agree that the price is 😳 scary. I wanted the pet version to pick up the fur tumbleweeds. The one thing I've noticed in reviews is that some folks had encountered melting of the plastic bushing(?) the yellow part. For this price that shouldn't be happening. I'm going to keep looking to see what options are out there, though I do like that the motor can be put on the bottom versus by your hand.

    Very interesting. I honestly assumed it would have less power because of a gimmick. Surprised to see it's neither weak, nor a gimmick.

    I think this is very good, but some improvements needed. Good: You can attach main unit to the lower position what makes it much lighter to use. Power is very good. Low profile cleaning head. Miele quality. Bad: filter needs to be cleaned often. Hair tangle is bad. Not able to pick up large debris. If I would have to choose it would be Lupe. Dyson would be my choice if it hadn't heavy main unit in top of the wand. All these brands are way too expensive.

    I have the Kirby currently i love how many features it has but I hate how heavy it is, and it sucks mostly because I have a two story home so doing the stairs especially is a little difficult! Its not cordless as welll which isnt as bad, but it would be nice if it was cordless. The stairs and the whole of upstairs is carpet down stairs is wood floors and tile. Do you have any recommendations on a really great vacuum that will vacuum well on carpet and hardwood ect.? Please let me know if you know if any high performance light weight vacuum I would really appreciate it.

      Take a look at this one - czcams.com/video/0YyG7ojZG_s/video.html. The Duo Clean rollers do well on both carpet and hardwood. The liftaway is good for stairs.

    Great video. One thing I do not like about the triflex is about how much it sticks out from the wall when It hangs on its cradle. Also the led light is extremely useful, and it is sad that miele makes you upgrade to the upper models to get the led light. I agree the dustbin is complicated. Thanks again for your videos.

    What about the Dysons on medium power? I feel like poeple will assume they only have 2 suction modes and most people seem to use the V11s on medium power for optimal battery life with optimal suction as a good balance between suction and battery life
