- Uthman ibn Farooq is a man of many names: sheikh, ibn fibbin', ibn ketchup, ibn footnote, ibn Smollett, etc. Most of which he has earned through his unique brand of lies, stupidity, and downright disgusting debate tactics. There is no question he isn't afraid of inventing an explanation for, even if that contradicts his other made-up explanations. But there is one question even I don't know the answer to: how much of what he says is lies and how much is simply ignorance. Let's take a close look at his latest antics and see if we can figure it out as the "sheikh" invents a brand new explanation for Quran variants - "dietary marks" - in his desperation to avoid answering Avery of @GodLogicApologetics

I encourage everyone to actually watch the original. My summary is completely accurate. Uthman waffled on forever about what supposedly happened previously. Avery obviously misspoke. Uthman acted like a child celebrating his "victory" that he caught a "lie." Then Uthman misspoke , aka "lied," twice about "dietary marks." If he hadn't acted like a child with lies "lies" nonsense, no one would have cared about his stupid dietary marks. But he has to be held to his own standards.
Meanwhile, in the actual substance (not what this video is about, but hey you brought it up), Uthman made up a ridiculous lie about "I" and "You" meaning the same thing in Arabic. I'm sorry, but that is utter nonsense. Stop following this clown and get some real reasons to believe your 30+ Arabic Qurans are all actually the same Quran.

The video with the footage being cut is the version that's on Uthman's channel, where it's abruptly cut short just before the part where Uthman gets busted - showing text claiming the camera ran out of battery - CONVENIENTLY - and yet somehow they didn't manage to replace the battery in time to record the remainder of the conversation - maybe they can ask GodLogic to use his footage to complete the conversation.

The word in question, you/I, is the same in Arabic without the diacritical marks I believe. The issue is that the meaning is different and the Muslims are supposed to have perfectly memorized the Quran, with the printed copies being based on these "perfect" recitations. Clearly this is not the case here, and in other instances.
Correct, the undotted text is ambiguous and different recitations interpret it differently - almost like they are going off a written text, not some mythical perfect memorization.

Uthman is a variation on a common theme. You see, boys and girls, Salafism produces many things. Long term adherents is not one of them. 10 to 15 years is the average shelf life. The Part Time Stripper, better known to some as Mo Hijab, has distanced himself from it. Ali Dawah, likewise. The condiment sheikh from Balboa Park is headed the same way.
He spends as much time blasting senior figures in the dawah movement unpersuaded of the beauty of Salafiyyah. His latest victim is Nouman Ali Khan (christened by fans as NAK). Nouman - subscriber count , 1 million - is of the opinion that music is halal. If Muhammad says otherwise, who cares what the tongue sucker says? He doesn't have a cool million subs does he? I like NAK. A man of sense, and, it would seem, rhythm. The tailored suits is a dead giveaway. He makes religion work for him, not like these ill groomed jokers in ladies wear.
Before that, Uthman was on the attack against Zakir Naik, the king of the dawah biz, in every sense of the word. Zak rates Salafiyyah highly, but he is not so slavishly attached to it.
