Raylan has a standoff with idiots is pretty much the entire show. And it's glorious.

The guy in the back seat was the original Raylan. Wonder how he felt watching someone do it much better & the show a huge hit?

Awesome! Thank you I LOVE hearing about people who were either replaced, or turned down role and deeply regretted it. I can’t quite remember who turned down Solo from star wars then Harrison Ford got it. It might have been Sylvester Stallone, and they regretted it so much lol.
To be fair he was great as Messer and Pronto just wasn't all that great a movie
Started to watch this 2 days ago. 5 episodes in and I already love it
It is one of my favorite TV shows.
It only gets better. One of the best shows ever
Keep with it til the end. It features some of the finest dialogue and scenes you'll ever see in a show. Season 5 is a bit tough to get through due to a poor "villain" choice, but Season 6 is incredible and absolutely ends on a high note.
Also, I strongly recommend not even messing with the latest "sequel series" City Primeval that was just released in 2023.

Tim Olyphant is probably one of the best western actors that can also quick draw pretty convincingly nowadays. If not the single best. As a rule of thumb Hollywood should hire more actors trained for firearms like Tim, and less idiots like Alec Baldwin.

Such a great show. Raylan is the main man, but there are so many great characters in this show. Even the ones who weren't regulars, they had so many memorable moments that this show is just great to watch again and again. The original run. That last season, was dull and rang hollow. Raylan was the ONLY part I really enjoyed.

Here is the issue. Raylan Shot his best friend, Boyd when he wasn't even pointing a gun at anyone.
You got a guy pointing a gun to shoot, and did nothing.
Did you even watch the show? 😂

He wanted Boyd dead. He wanted at least one of these guys alive.

The big bald head actor is Pruett Taylor Vince who played the rairoad worker that witnessed the grassy knoll in Oliver Stone's JFK.
He was also in a really good episode of The X-Files. And also in Constantine.

They shot each other before he reached for his gun. So they stood a chance against him 🙂
Nice defeating of expectations. Fat guy knows Raylan can beat him, and his back-up is worthless. He's trying to negotiate, but the back-up is scared--for good reason--that he'll end up taking the rap for fat guy's shit. Intoxicants and rational behavior don't work well together. So Raylan won't have to get a new gun this time. But he's pissed he lost a potentially useful snitch.

See I don't like this scene for one reason: early on, the marshal says he can unholster his own weapon, draw and fire before the big guy can raise his. A bold statement, and highly doubtful. But then the marshal proves how slow he is: BOTH men fire before he can unholster his pistol. That's more realistic but it makes this marshal look like the idiot, not the two guys that shot each other.
He held his cards close to the vest, the fact they didn’t know whether it was a bluff is why he said that.
Get over how fast he can draw his weapon. It's just a damn show
Raylan did want at least one of these guys alive too. That’s why he tried to get them to put the guns down. Maybe you’d have rather the original Raylan in the car to have handled it 😂
