Did you use the same injector cause i think you shouldnt have.
Pour some nitrogen into a running motor. While it's running into the oil fill hole.
Half way expected a promo code for purchases online lol just kidding
Lucas is some good stuff.
That injector pulse width though😂😂

While the particular mower in the video is carbureted, many new commercial grade mowers actually are fuel injected.

I've been using Lucas oil every time I fill up and not gonna lie, it actually improved my fuel economy significantly.
It is about the same cost though. Either pay more in fuel, or pay for the bottle. All the same in the end.....
One is far easier than thr other.
Agreed. My 2009 escape dropped to 20mpg. Half tank of Lucas and it was at 26/27 where it should be. Clearly had an issue that Lucas resolved. Very happy customer!

@stoney renegade seafoam does the same thing. Ran it through my crank case and started getting misfire codes left and right. Flushed my oil a second time and its good now
This is the first review that shows fuel being ran through the injector in real time. I don’t know why other are not doing the same. That is how you can really see what works and to what degree. Great video! Thumbs up!
All I know is my engine machinist uses Lucas in his engines to keep the internals clean. If anyone would know, it would probably be the guy working inside engines every day.
@Peter Angles what? So a guy with I'm assuming years of experience and hands on wouldn't?
@Peter Angles Honestly, an engine machinist would know better than anyone, what products actually make a difference on the internals in an engine. Assuming that he has actually done the testing with vs without these products.. Just as a good mechanic knows what types of oil ruin Ecoboost or Triton engines faster..
I've always used Lucas every time before an oil change. It kicks Soo much gunk outta your engine and pistons. Much smoother idle, better performance and my fuel savings is much better. Been using over ten years, I love the stuff.
Love this format of vids...short, sweet and simple. Straight to the topic, non of this YACK YACK YACK other vloggers do. Thank you.
I know how hard this was to do at all even though it just seems like a few minutesso that it actually took ours and thanks for sharing it! I'm a mechanicman I was actually watching you for a cheap and you did it exactly the same!!
Thanks for watching
Nice to see the comparison. I've always noticed a difference in my trucks fuel mileage after Lucas. I also noticed the super tech is more runny than the Lucas - indicating to me they don't have much cylinder lubricant if any in the bottle.
What a dramatic difference! I've been using Lucas Oil Products for as long as I've been driving and they've never let me down. Great video thank you!
After watching this video I bought a bottle of lucas and pour it to my tank.
So amazed. It does magic. 53 more miles in a tank.
Thanks.
You must have had some dirty ass fuel injectors 🤣

Love this video demo of Lucas. Definitely lives up to it's name and reputation.
I've used Lucas on a car with a check engine light. After 25 mins driving with this shit the check engine light went away 100% stand by Lucas.
ok that was 8 months ago i bet your check engine light came back on now, lucas does not have power to talk to ECM and does not have power to repair electrical sensors either
@@dkrawk8309 would it not have that power if it was something like a clogged fuel injector? If he only had a clogged injector which was tripping a fuel/air ratio code which cleaning the injectors fixed wouldn’t that end up fixing that issue?
I had an 86 caprice with carburator an lucas cleaned it so good i had to lower the idle on the carb, that was bout 25 yrs ago, literally made me a Lucas fan!!
you again
Lucas is the best stuff. I had an old 1996 chevy 2500 as my first truck. 112k miles and it had a lean injector #7 code on it. Tried cheap first like gumout, stabil, then seafoam, and finally lucas oil. Lucas oil was the only one that worked to get rid of the code. Drove it for a year and a half no problems. Got Casey's gas 1 time and i got the same code again. Put lucas oil in and used bp gas from then out and never had an issue
Great test. Ive used Lucas in my dodge 2006 cummins since new, It has 246K and counting. Im a believer and have been for years.
No shock to me. Us CDL drives us Lucas a lot. So glad to see I’m right. And the quality of your testing is amazing the details and time and effort is entertaining and educational. Thank you

I bought some lucas products because they have a long standing reputation and good name, nice for once to see a product that does what it says.I am extremely happy with their stuff.
I bought some Lucas fuel injector cleaner by mistake when I got it mixed up with seafoam. Now, I'm glad I did. 👍
Lucas needs to pay this guy, I’m definitely getting some for my old Suburban.

Marvin Scholten I would love to try some 🤣
Need to try that in my old Bronco.
I owned a big truck, and was told by the company to not put additives into the engine.
I was suffering from poor fuel mileage, and threw a LOT of money at parts. Air cleaners, sensors.,,
I finally said heck with it, and dumped a gallon of Lucas into one of the tanks.
I didn’t even let it mix, I put it in after the tank was already full.
The mileage went from 4.2 right up to 7.4 that trip.
Used it religiously ever since.
As far as oil additives, every oil change I put in a gallon of Lucas oil stabilizer, and a gallon of Motorkote.
I wore out the seals long before the engine was tired!
The seals could not be replaced, and I was forced to spend $30k on an in-frame rebuild.
Oh, well!
Great video! Thanks for taking the time and money to compare these, that was a cool video to watch 👍
I have used Lucas upper cylinder lubricant / injector cleaner for many years and yes, I recommend it. In your tests, it might have better if you had at least two injectors for each injector cleaner. Run the injector cleaner through each one for a few minutes. Wait for a while, then run the same injector cleaner again. Test the actual fuel flow rate prior to and after injector cleaner, as well as visual inspection of the spray pattern. Also, what was the temperature of the engine on first compression test, and at second compression test? Were the compression tests always performed at the same engine temperature?
Spoiler: this was not an actual test.
can we just thank the man for giving information and not dragging it out. no one does that anymore. if you wanna do a test with all you said go right ahead it's not as easy as it looks. he did a great job.
I agree. Ideally this would be a blind, side by side test, done on separate machines, for the same length of time. The engine results done at the same temperatures.
Yep, Lucas stuff is quality!
love this no messing about approach to testing
U are probably catching the fuel n reusing during injection test. Excellent💪🏼 thanks
Simple and great vid! Were you using different injectors between products? I think you tested them in conjunction with each other actually.

I was skeptical of Lucas for years. Snake oil. Then I used ethanol gas treatment, it worked. Then this product. On and on. Great products and Mr. Lucas supports many events I enjoy. Thank You!
I have a high km Subaru with various leaks. I used Lucas on the power steering / rack and pinion because it was leaking at the seals, fixed it immediately.
Seam deal, transmission was leaking at the gasket (I probably should have replaced the gasket), but didn't have time. I used Lucas, it fixed it.

Hey there brother im loving your work! I have a question for you. I am replacing my fuel injectors on my 89 F250 with a 460 and I'm thinking ,I could or should put some type of cleaner down the holes and if that is a good or bad idea. Any option on that? @@opera93 A little but I have a misfire on Cylinder 3. Gotta take the air induction, Throttle body, and intake manifold off to replace gaskets. Then I can check the coil pack and replace plugs. Pretty sure I have an oil leak into the plug well so just gonna replace PCV and all the gaskets while I have it apart and can get to it. Intake, valve covers, etc. This Ford 3.0L Duratec DOHC is an engineering nightmare to work on bank 1. Right up against the firewall. I'll get it done though.

What do use use to run the fuel through the injector like that. I have some injectors out of the vehicle I would like to clean before reinstalling
I’ve tried Seafoam vs. Supertech on my car and was not impressed by SuperTech at all. It had a very bad smell and it really didn’t deep clean as much as SeaFoam. I’m really not surprised by this test. Great comparison.
I have an '04 chevy with a 6.0 vortec. It just hit 175,000. Still runs pretty good for an old beast. I'm the original owner and I have followed the maintenance schedules religiously. I have always used Lucas fuel treatment but only treated when it was time to change the engine oil. However, as of about a year ago, when the engine had about 168,000 on it, I started experiencing sluggish acceleration. In the beginning, I mistook this for bad plugs/wires. I changed out the originals when the vehicle hit 96,000 with top quality parts. So, I was hesitant to buy new plugs and wires as I figured they should go at least another 20 and possibly 30,000 miles before needing replacement. So, I dumped some Lucas fuel treatment in the tank and almost immediately, the sluggish accelerations stopped. As the tank drained, more and more power started coming back. Due to the trucks age, I now treat every tank. The second set of plugs and wires are still in there and likely will be for a while. Thanks for the video. I knew you would find positive results using the Lucas. It works for me.
Hot dam diggy, thank you bro

My 2004 5.3 LS has been running like crap lately and scan tools are not picking up any codes...Lucas to the rescue!!! Running fine now.
I would like to see a test with a diesel fuel injector and compare a few of the diesel aditivies in terms of improving spray pattern.
That does sound like fun. Mercedessource makes a great diesel injector tester that fits a variety of Benz prechamber diesels. It is said to work with other Bosch injection systems used on other prechamber diesels, so long as you have the right adapter.
This test is doable at home because prechamber diesels don't need high pressure to function, but direct injection diesels do need high pressure.
Also, this is doable because the injectors have no electrical components inside of them. Unit injectors, HEUI injectors, and common rail injectors can only be spray tested with machinery that costs a lot of money. If all the electrical components are in the distributor pump, you will be able to use the same tool as the one for non-computerized prechamber engines. The 1995-2001 GMC diesel van is the only example I know of which has both a computerized distributor pump and a prechamber design.
I would be curious to see the same test with BG44K
i did this test and had the same outcome, works well :)
Wonder if the Lucas will help the spark knock in my engine? It cleaned that injector pretty good.

can you test marvel mystery oil the same way?
I bought a 2006 Cadillac DTS that ran like crap, replaced spark plugs and coils, ran a little better. Terrible gas mileage, less then 15 on highway and less then 10 in town. Been using this additive since December every fill up, average gas mileage is 24 mpg on highway and 16 mpg in town. This was a slow change over time, I don't measure how much I put in either, before I fill my tank, I give it a nice squeeze of the product. Not even to consider the overall take off of the car under full throttle is way different, does 0-60 is about 7 seconds now as compared to being sluggish before. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the NIA community.
@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO Welcome. Should do a review of Walmart's Hyper Tough tool lines. Least their hand tools have been absolute junk, rusting and breaking within short time of purchasing and using a few times, least for me.
Nate: your testing methods have flaws. In the past I pointed some out to give you a idea what is involved in testing products as industry standards. You are not giving a fair evaluation to what you testing and evaluating . Do what you like, I am not mocking you but but consider doing these tests to be a fair comparison and rating.
