The necked up 6.5 RPM to a 7mm would have more bullet weight and a 160 grain 7mm bullet equals the sectional density of a 308 caliber 180 grain bullet. The perfect weight for deep penetration in the 7mm with less recoil impulse of a 308 180 grain pill.

It's great seeing the new innovation from Weatherby both in the new Mark V line and new cartridges. That said please don't forget your origins and remember some of us still live for the classic walnut and blue steel Mark V and Vanguards that your Grandpa and Dad brought to the shooting population. I'm pretty disappointed they stoped with conventional custom upgrades. All they do is different colours of cerakote for u. Roy wouldn't have been impressed with that.
Actually, Christianson arms has one of the most inexpensive titanium rifles. The Mesa titanium is about $1700 MSRP and the Ridgeline titanium is approximately $2500 MSRP. Significantly less than the Weatherby. But, it’s not a Weatherby.

To me that to much rifle for whitetail or mule deer maybe for elk moose are something even larger

You are right, but when this video came out the Christiansen was more expensive.
Why do you think they dropped their prices, weatherby made this.
please dont lose that tradmark stock. It really helps reduce recoil and not to mention it gives a distinctive look.
Love the idea. Should do a .25 caliber based off of the same case and put a 1 in 8" twist on it to make a modern day .257 Weatherby.
