The sweat I sweated during my first time watching this episode could have filled buckets.
Tengen told Tanjirou to run because Gyutarou's beheaded body unleashed one of his blood demon art techniques (Rotating Circular Slashes). If you rewatch the last part, Gyutarou mentioned unleashing it when Daki was begging him to do something to get them out of their imminent death.

I still get an adrenaline rush watching this episode! The Mark/scar is very important and becomes more precedent as the show goes on . Not just for tanjiro 🤫😜

Something I've not seen anyone mention, but how did Inosuke catch up with Zenitsu when he was going that fast? lmao
it's because he's slowing down, he said "I have no more strength" before Inosuke caught up to them. You can see it in the background, there's no more bright light around them that shows how fast they're going, unlike the very moment Zenitsu used it.

Ufotable and Kyoto are the 2 best animation studio's in Japan in terms of treating their staff members extremely well, they focus on quality over quantity. They are not like Mappa 🤣

Ufotable's main staff members such as director Toshiyuki Shirai ( Season 1 Episode 19 ), Key Animators Nozomu Abe, Masayuki Kunihiro, Go Kimura, Mitsuru Obunai, Kazuhiro Miwa and many others worked on this episode, which is why it's so breathtaking. Unfortunately, the main staff was working on Mahoyo, Genshin Impact and Touken Ranbu instead of Swordsmith Village Arc, which is why season 3 turned out to be the weakest season so far visually, and also Ufotable's weakest project in almost a decade since God Eater. Hopefully, the main staff will be working on season 4 as it will cover half of the "Infinity Castle" Arc, which is not only the best arc in Demon Slayer but also one of the best modern Shonen arcs 🔥

i disagree on it being the weakest season visually. that infinity castle scene was by far the most well animated non-fight scene in the show, tanjiro's sun halo dragon and his fight in the last episode were also 10/10s, people just hate the season because of the CG fish and dragons lol

@@mrb1051The Infinity Castle scene has great compositing with 3d background and art direction, not 2d animation. There is a difference, as most people confuse great 2d animation with great compositing and art direction. Swordsmith Village arc was just extremely underwhelming in most departments compared to the previous arcs such as 2d animation, direction, storyboards, Cgi. Toshiyuki Shirai ( Season 1 Episode 19, Season 2 Episode 17 ) didn't even direct a single episode. Even the music by Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura was mediocre in season 3. The only thing consistent was the incredible compositing and art direction as you pointed out, especially in Infinity Castle scene and the climax daybreak scene.
Agree, Mugen Train and Red Light District arc were so much better than Swordsmith Village arc.

Guys if you ever gonna watching s3, just keep in mind that season 3 is kinda mid unlike s2 since it just a little arc before the real storm arc 😢 so please watch s3 with low expectations
