  • A TRANSFORMATIONAL JOURNEY OF A PROSTITUTE BECOMING A BUDDHIST YOGINI
Āmrapālī, also known as "Ambapālika", "Ambapali", or "Amra" was a celebrated nagarvadhu (royal courtesan) of the republic of Vaishali (located in present-day Bihar) in ancient India around 500 BC.
Following the Buddha's teachings, she became an arahant. She is mentioned in the old Pali texts and Buddhist traditions (āgama sutras), particularly in conjunction with the Buddha staying at her mango grove, Ambapali vana, which she later donated to his order and wherein he preached the famous Ambapalika Sutra. The legend of Amrapali originated in the Buddhist Jataka Tales some 1500 years ago.

It is not only an organization where we choreograph dance items, rather it is where we do research on making dance the tool that touches each soul, soothes each pair of eyes, and teaches us to gently create that waving vibe of satisfaction in each mind that looks at any form of dance.

This is one of the best Odissi dance I have ever seen. Your style of dancing reminded me of Aruna Mohanty. You have a captivating expression. Please keep it up. Just curious who is the female singer in this dance. She has excellent tonal quality.
