wondering how long until you realize the stove top was backwards. Probably wanted to make some heat. Anyway i just found your video and you had the naturehike massif tent and was a good purchase. Been using mine in November and December and will set it up again but not until the weather cools down. Enjoying your video
Realized pretty quickly when lining the stove up for chimney installation - but it was definitely a case of focusing more on the camera than on what I was doing 😀
Yeah - I’m now looking forward to the cold weather and taking that tent out again.

I have the Massif and slept in it one time. It seems like a quality tent . I, too, will probably take the inner out next time. It seems to be more roomy without the inner tent. Nice video

Nice set up! I've been looking at this tent for awhile now and am almost ready to get one. Looks like there is more usable space in it versus a tipi. Any issues with the stove jack burning? I've seen that in a few other videos. Also, what sleep mattress/air pad/ sleep system are you using? Cheers from Alberta Canada!
It’s a pretty good tent for the money, I would buy it again if I ever needed to. The stove jack does get pretty charred, it’s not the greatest material, that said I think it’s okay and would be pretty easy to add replacement material if the jack hole gets too bad or you just wanted better material there.
The mattress was an Exped Megamatt 10 - the wide one 30inch wide if I recall. That’s because I was reasonably close to the car and so the weight was not the biggest factor. I highly recommend the mattress for a great comfortable sleeping solution. Hope that helps!

Think I’d bring one small compressed log to get the stove going. But if it’s between food or 🪵. I’d take the food.
lol - yep food ever time I agree! Small fire log is a good idea when the car is near by.

The film was in upstate New York, only black bears there and they are not usually an issue in that area.
