My childhood. The times I spent dragging my father to this very store and picking out a toy with my sister. *Sigh* Those memories are golden. I can't believe they closed it down.

my child eyes could not believe what I was seeing when there was a giant ferris wheel inside of a toy store, especially with the regular warehouse look growing on me.
Honestly the Ferris wheel was such a big part on my childhood

When a store you could and would enjoy without even having to buy anything but just to sightsee and travel around and appreciate it like a museum, that ain't a regular toy store no more, it's a freakin' magical realm of mini-Narnia.

Toys R Us, used to be the “biggest toy store there is” now only a small part of a Macy’s store. We all miss the days when there were hundreds of Toys R Us stores near you.
My childhood store it’s takes back memories the last time i went was 2005 i was only 5 year old i loved that store with my heart i have pictures of it with my little car and i loved that dinosaur 😭😭💔💔

I was privileged enough to get to visit this store during a trip to New York during roughly this time frame. It was simply amazing. At the time I had no idea how lucky I was that I got to go inside even the one time. Now, it's all gone.

My dad used to work in the city and occasionally took me here to get a Mario toy. It was magical walking through this as a 7 year old
They should've kept this one store open cuz of all the tourism

This hurt my heart to watch. I remember being a kid and not having to worry about anything in life and going here with my aunt and uncle and cousins. We have a picture of me, my uncle, and brother in the ET cart :(
Man I'm thirty years old now but I remember being a kid and my parents would drive me to this toys r us every year since I was ten, all the way from new jersey. I remember buying the Bionicles every year in that lego section. Seeing this video drowns me with nostalgia.

I dont remember a ton from this store but i do remember getting a train station lego set here, and seeing the giant ferris wheel in the store Good times.

I came here in 2009. I got my Captain America and Deadpool figures from this place. Still got them
for some reason this just popped in my head as i went to new york in 2015, from the uk. and my phone what i recorded all of the trip on... fell into water, got a couple of photos from my trip but no videos. i remember a very big optimus prime in there as well
I’ve been to many toys r us’ but this one was my main fav, the Ferris wheel was so much fun ( besides the fact I’m kinda scared of heights) sometimes I wish I could relive my childhood, because childhood was so much more fun then teen-hood.
I used to work in the boys section and imaginarium. Miss this place.

The worst part isn't even that Toys R US is gone - it's that most kids don't even play with toys anymore. It's all cell phones, tablets, and video games. Not one kid gives a shit about action figures because they wanna wear ice like they're favorite rapper. *Sigh*

I heard that the Toys r Us at Times Square in NY is shutting down. I really really want to go to that Toys r Us in Times Square. It will be the first place that I will visit in New York if I travel there.
