I love you Balrog. Your videos are so good im writing this at 4:22, I have so much faith in u that i can confidently write this without seeing the rest. if u ever stop making videos..then I quit the internet
Bass is one of my favorite characters. I remember playing this and just hoping for Bass the whole gosh darn time. At the ass end there's a blue-print of Bass and I was like THERE IT IS! THERE IT IS! Imagine my happiness when 10 made Bass playable :D :D :D
^THIS is why I get mad when people say the Mega Man FPS looked lame. They don't know that it was going to be made by the Metroid Prime guys. Agitating...
I would've given the visuals a check plus. I know the game looks intentionally old, but it's impossible for me to not to smile at graphics. Unlike most retro games, the 8-bit style is 100% authentic, and I can't help but be charmed.
RyuuSix don't agree the reviewer saying its the hardest or that its frustrating. I think this is the best part of MM classic games. Even if the stages are hard and want to test you first with death, its not knowing whats coming next when the level scrolls to next scene I find it fun when first playing and the best part is the ongoing tryings till you learn the game by heart is what makes the game retro and nostalgic.
The Black Hole Bomb, now featured in the epic Mega Man final smash. Another solid review as usual, both amusing and informative. It's been great following these since you first put a thread for your new channel on the 3DS Forums. You've come quite a ways since then.
"Capcom is more than done with their Blue Bomber as we know it." Has everyone forgotten about that epic comic book series that's still going on, Zero and Tron Bonne in Marvel vs Capcom 3, Mega Man Gameboy titles being ported to the 3DS under the name "Mega May", and more. I'm not dissing you, Balrog. I enjoy your videos a lot but I thought I should bring this to your attention.
Wait...you said there was going to be a FPS Mega Man game made by Retro Studios? What the hell?! I would've REALLY loved to play that game considering how good Retro made Metroid Prime...
@@edward18517 Capcom (usually) have good reasons for cancelling games, with mega man universe, it was cancelled either because no one liked the design or a tsunami hit
@@elementmanexe8389 No they don't, they're Capcom. They just do things at seemingly random sometimes, and there was nothing back then about people not liking the design. They just stopped it likely because Inafune left.
12:18 Whoa,i Didn't even realize their was a Megaman zero spiritual successor game coming out! thanks for bringing my attention to this it looks awesome!
Some people add the whole skit thing in their video game reviews and I usually don't really like it that much. Balrog does it just right though :D definitely one of my favorite video game reviewers
Megaman 10's soundtrack, while not as good as 9's, still has some themes in my 10 best Megaman themes of all time... But probably wouldn't have themes in my 10 best ORIGINAL Megaman themes of all time because the DLC themes are by far the best. Specially Enker's theme, it's my favorite theme in the game. EDIT: You know the DLC themes are remixed themes from three of the first four Megaman games in the Game Boy, don't you?
Even though I grew up with NES and SNES, 9 was the first Mega Man I ever played. It took me like an hour to finally beat one stage. Then I beat the game like 10 times because it's so awesome. And the soundtrack is just fantastic
Excellent review of an excellent game. I'm genuinely torn as to whether Mega Man 2 or Mega Man 9 is my favorite of the series. But I do know that X, 6, and 3 and close behind them.
I love mega man 9's ost, there is this awsome remix album on overclockedremix called mega man 9: back in blue, it's a remix for every song in tge game, it kicks ass
+Balrog Well Another Episode to watch in my Balrog Review marathon, Let's begin! After Review: What a nice review, it's very informative, funny, and so much more...and I'm kind of supprised you didn't score Graphics but it makes sence why you did it....And the whole Wario get's kidnapped, or on the subject that he's just a Doll STOLEN!, did was interesting when I first watched this...but what REALLY SHOCKED ME, and Erked me at one point was, YOU NEVER BROUGHT THE STORY LINE UP AGAIN UNTIL EPISODE 10...and the wait with you not bringing up this story line, not knowing if you ever were at the time, earked me at some points.....But then when you actually DID...I was hyped...I was really REALLY HYPED for what was to come...Well Anyways, I got to go now so I'll see ya this Saturday for the next episode. See ya bro!
I find Galaxy Man to be a good opening stage to a new player, the first half of Jewel Man is good, but once we get past the mini-boss, I can't jump from the one platform to the swinging platform!
That achievement about beating the game 5 times in a day can actually be tricked. You see, it only tracks how many times the final stage is beaten, NOT how many playthroughs you've gone on. So, if you make a save right before the final level, and then use that to beat said final level 5 times in a row... well, you can probably see where I'm going with this.
I dunno, I can understand some people enjoying the simplicity more, but it over all sounds like nostalgia goggles for 2 to me. The complexity in later entries are some of my favorite aspects of the classic series; timing that charge shot just right, sliding under more interesting attack patterns, et cetera. Everything just felt far more involved to me.
I could easily been seen as part of the problem, but the Mega Man Battle Network and Star Force were my favorite games. I was never good at the 2D ones and I always preferred RPGs. All I can say is if they continued those series, Capcom would be taking my wallet right now.
I really hope that one day you will review the Megaman spinoffs, specfically the Starforce series. I know they are pretty disliked, but they have a special place in my heart. I would love to know your opinions on them.
I just liked my video so people can see it, with E3 going on and the fact I uploaded at 5AM LOL
no judging pls
I judge
I love you Balrog. Your videos are so good im writing this at 4:22, I have so much faith in u that i can confidently write this without seeing the rest. if u ever stop making videos..then I quit the internet
Wallid got Wariod
You should review a indie game sometime I don't know when but sometime it would be a nice change of phaste
You should review Wario Land 4.
to satisfy Lord Wario's anger
8:45 Wallid, that's a "U".
That's funny.
I upgraded from my J+
Your rating system.....baffles me

Agree Bass was my favorite character and I really wish he was playable in 9 but whatever at least he was playable in 10
I just noticed:
BNGR 6
+Megaman 9

HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED
Illuminati comfirmed.
Sinnoh Confirmed

STUPIDITY CONFIRMED
yeeaaahh so about mighty no. 9....
At least Azure Striker Gunvolt was good...
About that whole Megaman is not going to return thing also....
Wait the Megaman FPS was being made by the people who made Metroid Prime? Damn you Capcom!
^THIS is why I get mad when people say the Mega Man FPS looked lame. They don't know that it was going to be made by the Metroid Prime guys. Agitating...
IKR
I always say "I've not seen such bravery" in my head after the Hidden Block intro.
same
i assume it's pronounced "Base" due to the music references throughout- such as protoman's name being blues, rock(megaman) and roll...
well in a few times in megaman 8 they called him bass
Rad shyguy but is supost to be base
Yes.
yeah....I don't understand 8
And bass's dogs name is treble like a treble clef
You get a lot of weird and rude comments and tweets, but I've always enjoyed your work, Wallid. This was no exception. Great stuff!
I would've given the visuals a check plus. I know the game looks intentionally old, but it's impossible for me to not to smile at graphics. Unlike most retro games, the 8-bit style is 100% authentic, and I can't help but be charmed.
Hardest of the series? LOL
Wallid, review Megaman & Bass. You are going to cry.
I just tried 15 mins of it
I want to die
It's also served to be on VC.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I'm done.

+RyuuSix that was literally my first megaman game I bought
+evilspin SURPRISE HERE'S A PIT OF SPIKES. ahm a gud levvell desinur
Who else couldn't find this video in their sub box because it was flooded with E3 videos :/
projared took a shit in the portajon next to the zelda booth. Of course that video is going to take priority over a real video in the sub box.
"So personally we don't need MegaMan We are Set to Go!"... Famous Last Wods

Well.. that's the thing. It didn't look or play like Megaman at all, which is why I assume it was cancelled.
Yuriofwind (a youtuber who covers betas) did a video on it (called mavric hunter) he also did universe... and online... and legends 3
+Balrog or cause Capcom's just dicks.
@@edward18517 Capcom (usually) have good reasons for cancelling games, with mega man universe, it was cancelled either because no one liked the design or a tsunami hit

great video! Funny as always! Kepp up the good work!
The optimism in this video for Mighty No. 9 as a spiritual successor to Megaman is retrospectively adorable. xD
12:18 Whoa,i Didn't even realize their was a Megaman zero spiritual successor game coming out! thanks for bringing my attention to this it looks awesome!
Well...at least we can rest assured that Capcom is NOT done with Mega Man.
Hoping they're not done with mega man x
Yet another solid video Wallid. Wario is secretly proud of you
Some people add the whole skit thing in their video game reviews and I usually don't really like it that much. Balrog does it just right though :D definitely one of my favorite video game reviewers
I really hope that you intended for the SIXTH episode to be about mega man NINE.
It's pretty safe to assume the proper pronunciation of "Bass" is Base, due to the fact that all their names are supposed to be music based.
WE'RE SET TO GO
Bass is probably pronounced like the instrument, considering the musical theme naming in the Japanese release (Rockman and Roll, Rock and Roll).
Man... you made me wanna play the game again, thanks wallid
Damn you Doctor Wa-wee and your evil train robots of destruction.
Glad to see someone that actually appreciates Megaman 10's soundtrack! Nitroman's theme was my ringtone for years
I like that soundtrack.
My favorite themes in mega man 10 are Punk's theme and Wily Castle's boss theme.

Don't forget Smash Bros. for WiiU\3DS, it's an unlockable character in that game, and he is in his original look!
Greetings
12:49 Oh hey, it does fit somewhere.
Review came out just a little too soon, since Capcom is up in the air atm.
"I'm not gonna guess which Pronounce-iation"
11:29
Oh Wallid.
***** 13:23 why does this shot make me think your room is really small even though we can see your bed in other shots oh mai gawd
the menu music is my favourite
Haven't played the game yet, but I like the soundtrack a lot. I think Splash Woman's theme is my favorite, especially the remix in Mega Ran's album.
We're not set to go! ABORT MISSION!
hmm.. this was uploaded on my birthday...
COOL
ZX and ZX Advent were my favorites.
You should review skovel knight and great video by the way :)
...watching this in 2016 and seeing "Spiritual successor mighty no 9"
Even though I grew up with NES and SNES, 9 was the first Mega Man I ever played. It took me like an hour to finally beat one stage. Then I beat the game like 10 times because it's so awesome. And the soundtrack is just fantastic
Well considering that Bass' dog is named Treble, I am pretty sure it is Bass as the musical term
Excellent review of an excellent game. I'm genuinely torn as to whether Mega Man 2 or Mega Man 9 is my favorite of the series. But I do know that X, 6, and 3 and close behind them.
Imagine Egoraptor's face if he were seeing this review
Very valid point about CoD. Only 1 of those comes out every year...for now.
How'd you get this on a Wii U?
Off-TV play was added for Wii games, so I was playing the Wii version off my GamePad!
Science is the best
***** Oh my goodness! Balrog responded to me! This may sound wierd, but may I have a conversation with you?
11:37
I'm proud of you for not making some joke when the credits said "Brandon GAY".
LAWL 6:37 he has a bottle of tears.
I love mega man 9's ost, there is this awsome remix album on overclockedremix called mega man 9: back in blue, it's a remix for every song in tge game, it kicks ass

Oh! Are you going to review Mega Man 5 for the Game Boy? I can’t wait to see that, as I like this game, despite its lack of real challenge.
6:01 Hoenn Tears
Jumpnshootman!
What kind of Wario plush is that? I used to have one that looks just like that!
Please do a review on Mighty Nr 9 when it releases!
I find Galaxy Man to be a good opening stage to a new player, the first half of Jewel Man is good, but once we get past the mini-boss, I can't jump from the one platform to the swinging platform!
YES Mega Man V is on the way!!
2:19 Hey, Battle Network 6 was good.
12:06 THIS IS MY DESTINY! :p
what was that megaman x like mobile game you showed?
And plus he's in Smash Bros.!
12:15 Ooh. How's that feeling?
*cough cough* Slayin' *cough*
Happy Birthday me...

So, when are you doing Denpa Men 3
This is too good...
"Mighty No. 9's gonna be great"

HARD MAN~!
Hey Balrog, I think his name is pronounced like "Bass." (theninstrument.) It just fits with the theme of music inspired names.
Screw you Roll! Gimme mah lives! Get it?
OMG... That acting... I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well this happened.
splash woman looks like leviathan from megaman zero
Mega Man in Smash Bros., yo. You know you'll play and love it.
Taking of the helmet makes you take more damage, so it is essentially the hard mode.
with bass you can just call him by his japanese nam forte
I see. The. Hoenn tears.
Mega man we will miss you.
I adored MM9, beat it so many times. And just like MM2, one of the best parts is the music
Good choice on your DS emulator.
So THAT'S why I couldn't beat even one Robot Master in this game! No, wait, I also had issues with 10's Normal Difficulty, nevermind...
Your amaveng
A plot device!
can you review megaman 10 soon?
