  • Capt. Rick Stanczyk shows how he uses his Garmin Panoptix Livescope to find tarpon around Bud n' Mary's Marina on his Contender 25 Bay Boat. He also goes over the settings he likes and how he has the transducer and machine rigged on his boat. Come take a look at this amazing technology!

I've wondered how many saltwater anglers are using the livescope. I think it would be a phenomenal tool on wrecks, reefs and ledges. Another mounting option is one we use on freshwater rig - rail or track mount on an independent pole (I use a mount made from an old trolling motor shaft from Brew City Mounts) - that way I'm not dependent on where the trolling motor is facing/heading towards in order to move the livescope. Also - tip for folks out there, explore the options on your livescope setup options and color options - it can make it 100% easier to spot fish/structure over the out of the box orange.

Thanks! I got the system and some GoPro cameras to do the same. There aren’t nearly enough saltwater videos of this awesome system. I have the black box system and opted to mount mine on a PVC pipe with a ram mount and put a fish finder on the front of the casting deck. The power is coming from the trolling motor batteries.

Thank you for making this video. I am trying to decide between Livescope or mega 360. This video demonstrates how the unit performs better, than any other video Ive seen for either product. It seems a transducer with an independent directional control would be ideal. No one makes one.

Really? I find it works great. Maybe not as clear and perfect as in freshwater but definetly still a game changer
