It blows my mind that they didn’t take it off of origin or whatever and give themself time to fix it. It’s still at full price. It hurts that they decided on some random day that the default wedding that we had previously are going to be replaced by this piece of mess. The world is beautiful I truly wish I had it but it will probably never happen. My game is already broken enough. Can’t take more of it. Love you Satch ✨

Yep, it is mind blowing how they still take full price for it! O.O And this is also why I'm gonna boycott TS5 completely! I know there will be a lot of issues with TS5 eventually, because it's still EA we're dealing with. XD

You know what's really shameful? This pack appears to have been made with storytellers in mind. The bulk of the interactions are clearly meant to serve no other purpose than to organize and pose every one for pretty photos, yet they couldn't even get something THAT simple right.
That's all it is now in general, aesthetics over gameplay
They really got away with releasing a bugged out pack for full price.

Because customers buy it. At this point, it's our own fault. Not literally all of us, but generally speaking customers will buy crap. It's not EA's fault the customers are buying faulty products while knowing they're faulty.
The first time I had a wedding with this pack no one moved, they all started t posing and became uncontrollable and the officiant ran away… when my my sims finally exchanged vows the game didn’t even count them as married it was a disaster 💀
“I” have a girlfriend in the sims and even without the pack the sim still wishes to have her as gf 😭 And the bug with the marriage i had even 2016….
If I was given Sims 4 with all expansions for free, I wouldn't even play it
It being EA I'm just imagining one poor (unpaid) intern developer sitting in a broom closet sobbing while trying to fix this mess of a pack.

@@sunday_shake2007 there is one i believe, that disables this packs wedding and replaces it with the original weddings, since if you buy this pack it overrides the base game weddings. It's by twisted mexi I think

An engagement dinner is planned by the family to celebrate and show their support for the couple. My family took us to a restaurant. Everyone was dressed casual and it was fun and chill.
I love the world this pack comes with, I wish i could have it in my game, cause the world looks very southern European, and that's not something we get very often if at all, but it's honestly not worth the risk

I wish the pack worked correctly. I am tempted to buy it just for the world, but I will wait for a huge sale. There are better wedding outfits as CC and even a prenuptial agreements mod. Also, there are lot of things missing that are supposed to appear in a wedding pack like wedding planners, divorce lawyers, compatibility personality tests, conyugal conflicts about money, parents-in-laws, etc.

The reception is totally supposed to be after the wedding but obviously the sims team didn’t think that through. I haven’t tried it yet but I think the only way to get around it is to plan the reception on the calendar and the do the wedding that day through the phone.
In my game the “ask to be officiant/flowerpal/etc” tasks come up for ALL sims of ALL ages, no matter who they are talking to…even those who are already married…to each other….LOL
i noticed that too on mine as well
yeah once your sims gets engaged with the pack, youll always be stuck with those options popping up even when the engaged sims are already married or even after they divorced💀

*Meanwhile I'm still waiting on them to fix basic bugs like the camera jumping to other Sims that are not in my current active household every time one populates on a lot I'm playing on, especially public ones. It's made the game nearly impossible to play.* 🙄

As with most packs I like the concept of the pack more than the execution. I really wish they had fleshed out the gameplay of this pack more and given themselves more time to test for glitches/bugs - like others say, this pack is definitely for storytelling and cute photos but it's so difficult to get that, especially if you want storytelling/photos involving groups of Sims.
And personally I wish they'd given us some (more) cute wedding CAS items in a kit or something - again, that's a personal thing, mostly because I primarily got this pack just for the CAS wedding outfits so I could have better outfits outside of CC, and that's still kinda just because of how awfully glitchy the gameplay is which makes it feel like a useless feature.

Roles being unselected after being asked ring bearer, etc..
After you ask them you have to manually add the role on the event panel (pain in the ass ik)
Reason why guests didnt obey orders
Its because they where all in the same household(?)
Reason why you couldnt plan a reception after wedding
I think its because there was an event already on the day you tried to host it?
Reasons why the cake dissapeared, wrong attire, switched the role of the bach party
I have no clue but i hope any of my theorys helped a little with the pack 💀(the pack is still broken)
"Okay i know its like midnight but is the cake shop open? oh no, it opens at 9AM. We'll literally have to get there for 9AM, because the wedding is at 10AM. So. That'll be funny." Immediately followed by the cake shop just being broken sent me for absolutely no reason
They _still_ haven’t bothered to devote time to fixing it? After all this time, after almost eight whole months of it being out, they don’t care enough to fix it? I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am and it’s disappointing.

Hey new to your channel and love it all. Just sharing an note that yea, you’re right the reception is after the wedding but not the day after. It’s follows directly after the ceremony (typically) sorry if someone already noted this ❤ love your content!
It's only common sense to Buy a mini fridge, keep it in your personal inventory, buy the cake, take the mini fridge out of your personal inventory, put the cake in the mini fridge, put the mini fridge back in your inventory until you want the cake served. I mean what do you expect? A cake ordered and delivered?

The recption is usually on the same day as the wedding ceremony so it'll be the same event, but if your sims eloped, they can just plan a separate reception party for friends and fam. :)

I wonder if this pack works better with autonomy off? I have mine turned off and I don't have half of these issues. I definitely still have issues, it is a thing with this pack. But could some of the issues be because autonomy is on?
turning off autonomy does make sense yes, but idk - imagine if the rehearsal dinner was an actual rehearsal and created some sort of means to make your sims do things in the order you direct them to on that day at the actual wedding - idk it just feels so hollow to do everything manually (why not just do a base game wedding? people actually sit at the pews in that lol), it doesnt match up to what the trailer hinted at either
Just bc I know you like family gameplay and so do a lot of other ppl: I think if you select Sims as parts of the ceremony (ring bearer, flower pal, sim of honor, etc) but don’t double down and also add them as guests, they don’t actually count as guests for most of the interactions and rules. I couldn’t tell if you did select them as both but that might’ve been part of the problem. This is not at all to defend the pack bc it’s literally *horrific* but if ppl want to play with it, I think that glitch is helpful to note lol

This stressed me out so much lol. I came here to find out if the pack is worth the $14 that it's for sale as and I'm feeling a hard no. Maybe I'll look for some mods that fix the game before I make my final decision. Yikes EA, shame on you for still not fixing it, 10 whole months later now.

My pack isn't broken. We all need to start looking deeper into our systems and find what could be possibly causing your individual game to still glitch. Because apparently it's not happening to everyone's game the same way. It uts not happening at all.

@@maaikespies5997 I am lucky (knock on wood) I'm not mocking those whose game pack is broken, but I am saying that not everyone's is.
We really should think about if it's our personal games content that could be corrupting the game even more...mods are notorious for corruption..cc content...outdated...old, slow performing systems can corrupt game performance. And of course, the game itself. I keep my game as clutter free as possible. Always keeping it updated and cleaning out inventories and lots not often used. It does help.
I think the reason why I was laughing my ass off is 2-fold:
#1) This is the most obvious reason, but, all of the glitches in this pack. It's one thing to laugh at the weird ass quirks that every Sim has, but to laugh because of how pathetic the game is, and how broken the game is, is honestly atrocious. C'mon EA, we all know you can do better than this.
#2) I dunno why, but, when it showed you giving a toast, I lost it, cause I can imagine you saying something like "Well because this stupid fucking game can't do something as simple as make a toast to everyone, I'll just make it. So....a toast for the wedding party that is supposed to be here but isn't because EA fucked up."
*Then you drink all the champagne 🍾 and pass out on the floor.*

My sim recently didn't have goals for a planned birthday party, so this bug is probably not specific to the pack.
And there's another major bug that remains after the wedding that you didn't even mention... The options to plan wedding, invite another sim to be the sim of honor, flower pal and etc remain even AFTER your sim is married! This pack is a dumpster fire and I'm glad I managed to hold my impulse and not buy it with the hope that one day they would fix it.

It look like an open world considering his sim walked to that park from very far away. You can live in that world or just prepare youself before the wedding ?
It seems planning it on the calendar causes more issues, I just arrange it all on the day through the phone now, still buggy as hell but seems to go a little smoother.
I don’t have wedding stories, but Once in a while I will have a really nice wedding. It just depends if the game wants to glitch

There are mods made to fix/reduce the bugs in certain packs. That could’ve been it?
Honestly, as someone who hasnt had a chance to play sims 4 but watch a lot of videos about it, i dont think we need the sims 5, we need the sims 4 working properly. If everything worked as it should, it would be a greater game. Oh, and if they werent so greedy with their dlc system. Unfortunately, none of these two issues are going to change i guess

i had a wedding in my sims recently with this pack and i don't know if i was lucky but mine wasn't as glitche as yours, of course it's wasn't perfect but this was at least ok

For those who own this pack, does having the autonomy of your sims turned off helps?
Because I find it curious that the only sim “behaving” was only one that does not belong to the household…
some simmers say it does help.

@@beahtriz everyone has their opinion. Mine is, It's not a crappy pack. The world imo, is beautiful. It is not intended to be a gamepack where there are billions of things to do there. It is solely to get married. The real Tortosa in Spain is also known for it being solely a place for romance and weddings. Do your research.
My Tartosa isn't broken at all. I use it for a wedding location, vacation destination, and two of my Sim families live there.

Try turning off autonomy, i did this and they sat and stayed and everyone did what they were meant to, also try cheating need of every guest to make happy before starting, that way they avoid going to the toilet and stuff

My sims literally had people there but the sim officiating the wedding didn’t come and my fiancé flirted with someone (doesn’t have a noncommittal trait) and then it wouldn’t let them get married like you couldn’t click the alter. SO LAME :(

That edit menu in calander literally broke my save when I got the pack after the “fix” I can’t edit the event or delete it without the game permanently freezing and I just have to shut the game off. It’s been bugging me for almost a year
