@@gabyreveluv In Mario Sunshine she talks way more than in Mario Galaxy. It's so bad that they talk less since Sunshine because when they talk more in the mainline Mario games than it would be more personal instead of using too much text boxes.

Honestly, I think these costumes are amazing! I know toad looks odd but come on. You need to fit a 5-6 ft. person in there. They feel like they were taken right out of the games
From what I can find the average height for a Japanese man is 5’7” and woman is 5’2” so not hard finding someone with that height. Universal Studios Japan has an exclusive Sesame Street mascot that’s worn by people 4 feet tall.
The only thing Toad needs to feel complete now is his voice overs from Mario Kart 64!
They ARE taken right out of the games! Preserve the magic!

EDIT: "Peach actually speaks" as opposed to Mario and Luigi's simple "Let's-a go" and such. They occasionally say more complex stuff, but that's rare
That’s actually right. In Luigi’s Mansion 2, Mario says “Luigi! You save-a Mario” and “That’s my Bro!” And in both Luigi’s Mansion 2 and 3, Luigi says lots of different things

I won't allow myself to visit this place until I am atleast somewhat fluent in Japanese, I REFUSE to have an awkward moment with these characters because I couldn't understand what the staff were saying.

The costumes do look awesome! I still find it funny Peach speaks in English even though this is in Japan. I know there are some English speakers over there but Japanese is still the native language.
I mean, the Japanese games don't have Japanese voice acting (exceptfor Smash Bros and Mario Party), and the Japanese understand some English, so it's just a thing they do.
The girl dressed as Princess Peach with Princess Peach is everything. I love Princess Peach, I have a pink t-shirt with her on that's glittery from Primark.

This Toad mascot is actually much less uncanny than what cosplayers can normally come up with.

Universal Studios Japan has other short mascots like Doraemon and Moppy. Moppy was first worn by Jeremy Hallam apparently.

Anyone else want a StarFox section to the park? 😄 Not just me? Lol
The whole section could just be focused on the Great Fox. Walking up to it with it's neck thing and bridge above you over looking the area. Main entrance would be the hanger doors so the first thing you're greated to are the Arwings. Working your way to the bridge you could look into rooms that would hold the teams storage, weapons, items and vehicles from previous games! Could even implement an AR ride that replicates "flight training/G Diffuser training", something like that. Up at the bridge could be the team for a photo opportunity, the merch store. The windows there would be a good viewing point for the rest of the park as well. A quick way down could be the slide shoots the team use in the animated short we got for SF:Zero.

I finally figured out how Toad’s arms work: They’re puppeted rigs, not sleeves. There’s some mechanical wire inside the costume that the actor can pull that will lift each one of the arms, probably similar to how puppeteers work the eyes in Sesame Street’s Big Bird costume.

I feel they should have made Luigi's suit taller than Mario's compared to the other way around because it's a slight flaw based on the genre and for this theme park.

To think that we've come this far, since back when Universal owned Crash, A Crash mascot would occasionally walk around Universal Studios at times. It's not the exact costume that is used in the commercials, but it's close.
