I actually really love the Amex Gold card but if had a Gas category 😅f could be better. I don’t like the annual fee 🤷🏽♀️ I want a card 4X points for dining, grocery, gas and travel but I want to use my points for hotel and airline.

AMEX Everyday Preferred has 3x on gas, 4.5x on Groceries, and 1.5 on everything else. Might be a good options. Additionally you can downgrade it to a no annual fee card. And always be able to transfer your points out.

None are perfect because it depends on spending category with the merchant code. These are the credit cards I have Amex Blue Cash Preferred 6% on grocery shopping and streaming services 3% gas. Chase Freedom Unlimited 5% Lyft rides 3% dining and drug stores, old Chase Freedom 5% quarterly categories. Capital One Savor (no annual fee) 3% dining groceries entertainment which includes theme parks (I used to purchase annual passes to Universal Studios Orlando and Walt Disney World) Bank of America Cash rewards 3% on spending category you choose (mine set at online shopping which includes paying for my Comcast internet and TV package can not use with cards with streaming services because internet service does not count) Barclays wyndham Earner card 5% Wyndham hotels and gas. Wells Fargo Choice Hotels card 5% on Choice hotels.

Amex blue business plus catch all
Gold card restaurant and grocery
Platinum airline tickets
And hopefully I will be getting the wyndham business earnerr card for gas and vegas
