The Blinding Lights video he did a couple weeks back amazed me. Not the fastest or most insane music but watching what he does makes me envious.
My favorite of his is Blinding Lights because of the techniques he implements and his expert use of that Dualist pedal OMG! My favorite short is where he does that groove Blurred Lines/Robin Thicke. Then “the impossibleAvenged Sevenfold drum part”. He pulls off that bass pattern at the end, excellently and then punches the cymbal. Coolest shit I ever saw! 😂

He always does SOOOO MUCH on a minimal rig! Typically, when you hear/see a demonstration on the drums like this, the drummer is SURROUNDED by drums & symbols. He just gets the most out of the fundamentals in/of a kit! I feel like h is limb independence is what makes doing so much with so few ( atleast less than one would think) instruments in his set up possible.
Also, i love how his set up varies so much between songs. It shows intention, purpose & true musicianship! He's straight up crafting these masterpieces & creating the perfect fit!

He must of been born with drumsticks in his hands. His speed is crazy, having said that his hit is also extremely clean for the speed. Just crazy watching the guy play.

Colby still loving your reactions....when confronted with this guys level of talent...hand speed. precision and technique (most of us have the same reaction ) it's a simple OMG ! Some people were just meant to be great at whatever they do, I suspect that Estepario would have been a great guitarist or bricklayer....7 to 8 hours practice a day for years will do that. But it's more ! it's innovation and interpretation of the music that he plays that stamps it as forever his. He is refining drumming.
