ABOUT ME
I’m 31 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 600 breeding ewes.
I shore over 15,000 sheep this season in UK and I also travel to Norway for shearing in March and September. (Covid messed it up this year)
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on CZcams and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.
I suspect the little blue ear tags says “Hand wash only. Do not dry clean and do not tumble dry”! Love the show- keep posting,
🤣🤣🤣
Do not iron and wash with whites, also very important😂
In lukewarm, not hot water
@@Tactical_Assault_Pelican it's lucky they don't run, that black and white coming out all mixed....
😂
Bob Ross there and his happy little clouds 😂 great content as always Cammy :)
Thanks
Brilliant visual.❣️
i desperately need one of his thumbnails to just be the back of his head and a brush in his hand pretending to paint the background in his shot
@@TheSheepGame you
I love these Scottish guys taking care of the sheep and cows. Their accents are just so nice to hear.
Thanks!
Swess sheep
Tom cuddling one of the lambs made my heart burst! ❤ so adorable!
That's his wee pet. They've had to put hay bales all round the pen now because it's big enough to jump out =D
I love the valaise black nose. Their horns are perfect little handles.....they are adorable ! They look like something out of a Star Wars movie !
Ewoks? lol
@@TheSheepGame hahaha....no....one of those banthas....only smaller....much smaller and cuter xD
@@Emg2463 ض١شض
@@Emg2463 lol yes tiny banthas.....bantha? (Correct way to call them if they were real 🤭🤭🤭)
Found the aberdonian….
The music made my hubby ask if I was watching an adult video! Lol...naw, just cuddley sheep getting a bath! Thanks for the video!
Hahaha funny you say that. I had to speed up some of the washing because three men rubbing a sheep, in slow mo, to that music was a bit too much lol
@@TheSheepGame Never crossed my mind...just thought it was for the camera!!
Cammy got the music off an adult movie 🙈
Interesting note Cammy, the blue liquid that the sheep were being wash with is called an optical brightener, its used to make off white products whiter, its the blue in your dishwasher tablets, conditioner for clothes and specially lovely sheep.
Products like that are also used on white cats to whiten them for shows
Looked similar to a purple toner often used to achieve platinum hair colouring as well. Since the shampoo was more purple in colour rather than blue.
@@godzandheros Or old lady shampoo... prevents yellowing, white hair oxidises. Used to use it when I was platinum blonde.
I love Cammy explaing how these sheep "fluff up" when dry... While sporting that curly head of hair that he owns! 🤣
It's fluffs too.
Like teddy bears...was on holiday in Northumberland and they were in field where I was staying. Could watch them all day ❣️
OMG I CANNOT HANDLE THE CUTENESS!! So amazing. Thank you for sharing this video. Entertaining AND educational!
Cammy.... I love how your epic hair blends in with the sheep that you're working with. Maybe the sheep will think that you are one of them. Think of how much easier that would make your job! Something to think about.... 😆😆😉🐏🐑
Haha my hair was on great form that day! It must have been a warm one!
In the words of ange from despicable me “He’s so fluffy I’m gonna die” 😍 those are definitely the cutest guys ever seriously need to cuddle them
Haha, fits perfectly😂👌
They are so cute. That little lamb being held & cuddled just like a large puppy is so cute. Great video . They are adorable when they walk away & shake themselves.
How sweet they are going for a petting Zoo. Congratulations on 20 K, here is to the next 20!!😀😀
Thanks Pattie =D
Excellent! Most in US do not remember that fleece value use to be based on fleece cleanliness. Gorgeous barn and 🐑
Why are sheep so ridiculously cute? Especially that one at the end, he looked like a living doll. 💘
And now I've got my answers about washing sheep! Good to know for all of my non-existent sheep...
I loved watching this video and the frisky little fellas seemed to enjoy their spa treatment. Their curly coats are flashy, their colors and also their personalities . Amazing difference after a bath. 😉 The black spotted
Throughout his coat is unique. I can see why they're so expensive.
That spotty one is what’s known as a ‘Spitty’.
I must say…either that breed of sheep is exceptionally mellow, trusting & friendly or that farmer has them very well trained! Because I’ve watched videos of people washing other breeds of sheep and not only do they all show/scream their displeasure clearly…they also fight for all their worth and try to escape constantly! The only other videos of sheep being washed where they were this well behaved was one where the owners regularly entered their sheep in shows and began washing them ever so often from an early age. If this breed of sheep as a whole are truly as mellow and friendly as these in this video…I really wish I could afford 2-3 just as pets! Maybe one day…
@@roguewolf7053 It is the Valais nature.
Dang those are cute sheep. Forget getting a dog, I want one of those.
“Breed Standards” have been written for all kinds of living things. You can find them in use at many kinds of competitive shows, from song standard elements required for breeds of canaries, flower shape and bud arrangement for various types of daffodils, to required jump elements in Olympic or international figure skating. If you attend a purebred dog show (normally an all day competition, not the couple hours of a televised broadcast), you would see a great many dogs of each individual breed, competing against each other for the Judge to select the individual who represents that written breed standard. The “ beauty contest” aspect is meant to be determining which individuals would represent the best breeding stock, for future generations of each breed. The Valais Blacknose breeders long ago defined in writing, what characteristics were most desirable for their breed, and then chose to only breed the individuals most likely to pass those attributes down to their offspring.
Yeah Cammi! CONGRATULATIONS ON 20,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!! 🎊🎇🎆🎉
i SAW THAT AND JUST SMILED.......EH......

Gorgeous sheep! That lil lamb at the end, omg soooo cute! I can see why they're expensive, not only do they look great but they appear to have wonderful temperaments! I really enjoyed this video 👏👏👏
These animals are beautiful and adorable!! Like the fact their keeping the breed genuine!!
They look so good all cleaned up and snowy white! But I admit they're cute dirty too!🤗
Great Video and congrats on 20k!
Thanks Aaron!! Only a week or so behind you =D
They really are the cutest little things and so docile.
And what sweet dispositions they have as well. That little lamb just ran right up to have human interaction. 🥰
Love how that guy was holding that sheep 😊 it reminds me of 'Lamb Chop'! 🐑
I have just fallen head over heels in love with these absolutely adorable little munchkins I used to love Tunis sheep but these guys take the cake in the cuteness department .💙💙💜💜🐑🐑🐑
I think you connect with these sheep Cammy because they have great hair like you 🐑. They are cute and seemed to have a pleasant temperament. Enjoyed seeing another aspect of animal husbandry in Scotland 🏴.
Thank you Michael, I guess they love my hair and feel like I'm one of them 😂
@@TheSheepGame 😀😀😀😘👍
Hahahahaha! i LOVE your HAIR! I mean, you are as fluffy as the other sheep! I came to visit from the Hoof GP. YOU Sir, are a hoot! And those lambies look quite lovely after their bath! Lots to learn! And if i ever get to Scotland, I'll be ready to jump right in trimming cows and sheep. I dont know if i'll be mooing or bleating when i open my mouth to speak! But i know 2 people who will completely understand me! Thanks for the great videos!
Those valley black noses sure can be cute.
We wash our sheep a bit differently. Always have to use soaps that don’t strip the hide of its natural oils. The slick sheared show sheep we treat with hide lotions to prevent transmission of fungus at the shows.
Cammy, y’all need blowers to help blow that wool out. Check out the Circuiteer II, Made in Wisconsin. Best in the world as far as I’m concerned. They make a 240v, I know y’all use different Angry Pixies to power things over there. I see that showTime supplies sells them over there.
Enjoyed! Congrats on the 20k
Hello
This was so sweet to see these little cuties. They look like little toys. Thanks for sharing. Great job.
Thanks Teresa! They are such nice quiet sheep
I’m so happy to see them clean! I think they should all get a bath after the get shorn.
I'm impressed with how calm they are being put in a vat of water. I would think it isn't so.ething they are used to so they'd freak out.
Can you imagine how adorable and puffy they'd be with a good brushing and blow out. I squealed just thinking about it.
They are pretty tame and trust their owner which keeps them nice and calm in the water and they even might enjoy it a bit.
OMG so cute and clean and that white is as white as snow. Beautiful anamils 🐑
Omg I travelled round Ireland around 2008/2009 and saw some sheep like these so beautiful I have since tried to find what they were and here you have them ❤
Thank you for sharing those adorable Swiss sheep with us! So dazzling after their baths.
i love how cute they are i did a sheep course in my 20s and never whent back to farming after that but man do i miss it now into my 40s and i feel like a fool for giveing it up but eh oh what i would give to travle around and see all the breeds of sheep
Cuteness overload! The sheep were adorable too 😊🐑😂. Brilliant video Cammy. Thank you!
Haha thanks Tammy. Almost jumped in myself!
Yes. Yes, I have, since I've owned them. But I'm still here to watch you bathe these. Wow, I need a life. *lol*
Cammie thank you thank you thank you for sharing these adorable cuties once again. I could look at them for hours.
My daughter raised a Hampshirite for FFA. We put her in the truck and took her to the car wash before shows. She was always the cleanest at the show
i love it how scotish people treat animals as people!!! love the vids and the ancient evan tho most the time i dont know what your saying
Haha cheers Will. I'm very Scottish =D
If you have Closed Caption or CC at the bottom right of your screen turn that on and read what he is saying. Sometime the CC can't read it though cause Cammi's accent is so thick. Hope this helps.
I just slow the speed down a couple of notches and I can understand him quite well. Give it a try. He sounds a bit drunk tho. lol
@@TheSheepGame us Ayrshire folk hae the best accent!
You're right, Cammie, they are the cutest sheep ever! What fun to see these gorgeous sheep once again. I want a dozen or two.
Your fluffy hair fits right in with your fluffy sheep.lol. beautiful breed of sheep. They are very cute your hardwork and dedication is so worth it. Thank you for sharing i never knew there were so many different breeds varieties of sheep til i watched your videos.
Thanks Kathy, it does seem like we keep plenty of different breeds in the UK compared to other countries.
I hope that is warm water watching this It’s one degree in MO right now .
You are right! I did love it!!🎈
Wow, they really cleaned up nicely. I thought the adults would be stained beige always. That looks like fun giving them a bath 🛁 🇨🇦
It was very therapeutic! =D
Too cute , think I’d be tempted to stash a couple of the little ones into a backpack n bring them home with me 😂
They are the most beautiful sheep I ever seen! They’re so gorgeous!!!
I know its an old video, but what beautiful sheep they are and Cammy your hair compliments them too 😂. Im not surprised the breed standards are so high for them. And totaly agree they should protect the blood lines. Thank you Cammy for a lovely video 💜
They were looking really good after their shampoo. Well done all involved.
They do come up super white and fluffy 😁
If only I had acres of land, barns and money I’d buy a whole flock of these…cuteness overload!! I’m sure being a dog groomer they’d love me bathing them lol 😂 💖💙
This video was a very pleasant surprise. Things I never knew could fill the Library of Congress. Those are the most beautiful sheep I've ever seen and I love your explanations Cameron
Good facts in there👏 lovely sheep and great set up !
It's like a fecking spa day for a sheep! Though it makes sense as to why they're getting a washing. And you're right they're quite cute as well.
That reminded me of showing sheep at the county fair when I was young. They had to have a shampoo and then all the carding... we had fun. 😄
Not something that I had done before but was actually quite an enjoyable afternoon.
@@TheSheepGame Yea…but those sheep were incredibly well behaved! Most other videos I’ve seen of people washing sheep…especially if they’ve never been washed before…looked more like a rodeo!😂😂
I have never seen sheep in a bath.
They are so cute!
Cammy. Welcome home and congratulations. 20k and climbing. That was a fun video. Thanks from your friends in 🇨🇦
Thanks as always Cheryl. You are always such a positive ray of sunshine =D
Gorgeous lambs! Thanks for this video - I had no idea that laundering sheep was even a thing!🤣🤣🤣
😂Rob Ross!! This is hilarious🤣 Also, you talk about it being quite enjoyable as you pull the “dingle berries” off the sheep’s butt😂 You’re great. Thx These are the best sheep ever. So cute😊
These guys are so cute, I seen them for the first time on Facebook, I love your accent my family are from Scotland is love to visit, also Holland ❤
That was brilliant Cammy, beautiful Sheep, thank you.
He has sheep-like hair himself. So hilarious.
If I wants can’t have, I don’t want one....... I need one omgosh 😍
That breed is definitely the cutest in the world! Wow! Cammy , you got a great vid here!🦌💌❤️🐑☕️🇨🇦🙏
Thanks so much! Took a while to edit it all!
These sheep are just beautiful!
Well, they are surely the cutest sheep in the world! Thank you for all the information about the breed. Very interesting!
Congratulations on 20K! With content like this, your numbers will just keep going up!👍
Thanks, try to make sure I get all the facts correct when I'm talking about things I'm not too sure of.
Wow just wow! How beautiful! Thank you so much for showing us all about this beautiful breed
They are such gorgeous sheep! Giving them a wash looked like fun aside from picking them up. Thank you for sharing!
The little ones are so adorable!
These are the cutes sheep I've ever seen! I'm new to spinning wool and I'm curious about their fleece. Can you tell me what it's like for spinning?
So CUTE!!!! So cute. So cute. I think the sheep thoroughly enjoyed that pampering. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. Very tranquil.
Cammy: _If I was going to be a sheep, I would be one of his._
Heckle Fish: _Don't be a sheep._

They are a gorgeous breed of sheep. Thankyou for show casing these sheep Cammy
It does help when they are so nice to look at and they are easy enough to work with.
That one with all the black markings was too cute, way different from the rest.
Cute sheep! I’ve taken up wool felting and all I kept thinking of when washing the sheep was omg..they are going to felt his coat! Must be special soap! LOL.
Special sheep shampoo lol
Their wool if you can get hold of some is very good for felting. Even x breed wool would be good.

I love these types of videos on different breeds
I just got a hold of some valais black nose wool for spinning. It is such a fun texture with all the curls. These are such beautiful sheep.
Amazing, hope it spins well in to some nice yarns, would be great to see what is possible to make from the fleeces.
It takes dye really well so I have vibrant colors of magenta. And it’s got a nice texture for socks. It’s soft but it’s sturdy. Totally a great spinning experience.
I love this Swiss valley sheep. So beautiful!💕🐑Great video! I’ve watched it three times now. Awwwwwwwww.
They are like washing a big dog, an Old English Sheepdog. lol
My kids were showing lambs at our local fair. A shepherd walked by and complimented our lamb on its unique color with amazing spots. She asked about his breeding and I said he was a Shetland wether. She asked if his fleece was for sale and said she'd pay top dollar for it. I smiled and suggested she wait until after he had been cleaned up a bit and she agreed. We took the lamb to the wash stall and scrubbed from nose to tail, and rinsed off the black water. We dried and fluffed him to show off his lovely crimp. The lady came back after an hour or so looking for her unique silver Shetland lamb with brown spots. She asked where he was and I pointed to my perfectly white lustrous Shetland lamb and reminded her that she said it was worth top dollar and she stormed off in a huff.
When I wash my wool it shrinks!! Glad those guys didn’t!! Beautiful sheep!! Stay safe and healthy. This old lady from South Carolina.❤️❤️👵🐑❤️❤️
Oh Cammy, they definitely are THE cutest sheep! I would LOVE a whole yard full of those darlings! They look just like a toy! I just can’t get enough of seeing them!
Oh my goodness they are beautiful!! 🙏💝💝
"… quite enjoyable… " as he pulls out dingleberries with his bare hand. 🤣
I loved the music selection for this one! 😂
Yeah some variety in there. Tried to go a bit funkier lol
Gorgeous... and so good-natured, too! ❤️
Never seen a sheep have a bath in my life time! My first pet was a beautiful sheep thanks to my father! Thank you for sharing! 🥰 good memories
Cammie, what a wonderful video - the sheep are adorable!
Thanks Kailand!
Well I just wanted to climb into my iPad and be teleported to that farm and cuddle the cutest sheep breed right there. Amazing vlog. I think you are a sheep whisperer. ❤️. Thankyou for the blast of ultimate cute fluffies today.
Beautiful Sheep having a Spa Day... because their worth it. lol. Weren't they well behaved, I was expecting everyone to get wet. Great video.
Think they do enjoy it a bit, they are quite tame so that helps 👍
Talk about shearing sheep, you got one on the top of your head. You hold still while I grab the shears…🤣🤣🤣
The cute meter is over the top with these adorable sheep!!
I love them calling. Don't live near any sheep or cows so love there calls
We went out of sheep over 15 years ago, in spring my 4 year old daughter kept nagging me for some lambs. None of my friends or family had any pet lambs/bottle lambs goung. So I bought Valais 1/2 bread ewe and lambs. Next week I'm hoping to take the ewe and lamb to the ram. I have to admit im excited, and my daughter loves them, as long as she keeps interest, I'll slowly increase the flock from this ewe and lamb.
Brilliant jason good man!
Loved this episode, thanks Cam. I am in the breeding up program in New Zealand. We should have been up to F3s this year, but COVID set us back, so F2s again. Very cute indeed.
Thank you for sharing this, I agree, they are the cutest sheep in the world! How much fun would that be, washing these little sweethearts! 💕from🇨🇦
