After my 1988 CRX Si B16A transmission failed, I decided to pull everything out of the engine bay, re-paint it, and swap in a B18C Type R engine and transmission.

Maybe you have a different mind, maybe not - Take care when you rebuild so deeply. I have a bud who rebuilt an EG from painting on a spit to oem fresh bolts; it's 20 years later and he still can't let go of it.
