I've watched initial d at least 10 times now, and I love the eurobeat just as much as everyone else, but two beautiful scenes in this movie now use candle flame as the bgm for the memory. The awesome tracking shot, with the camera entering the tail lights, rotating around Takumi as he shifts and proceeds to drift... And the awesome mini drop and slight volume variation at the gutter run. I'll admit seeing the movie at 20fps was painful, but those scenes were pretty good and I'm grateful for this true to manga drawing style animation, with or without eurobeat it sounds and looks great

just so you know the manga and anime are the same... since the manga was written alongside the anime the legend series is just a reboot of the first stage since the animation back then wasn't exactly top tier and this music fits the new style better than eurobeat would've but no this is actually an anime that changed up the characters slightly and is definetly not even remotley close to the manga

not exactly true. people shouldn't hate the new music because it fits aswell imo but the eurobeat back in the original stages was better. they used the songs according to the race so all songs worked out well but initial D legends is not at all poorly made. the only thing I disklike about it is how they changed takumi's character from calm and normal behind the wheel to shouting all the time. and the original voice actor cast shouldn't have been replaced imo
TTRE S15 No, music is extremely important to something like this. It fit very well, it was something you could associate with a special moment in the show, and it helped to set the mood. I love the show, and the music that went with it it's iconic. Never forget how important music can be to media like movies and TV shows.
