    Cattle Haulers have some of the toughest jobs on the road. When I'm in the middle lane and I see a cattle hauler going 85-90 down the freeway, I make sure to move over like they're law enforcement because essentially they are. They keep the peace with the animals we eat.

    Always preferred the Wilson's over Merritt's. Cattle and livestock hauling isn't for everyone. Hard work, long hours and you can't really pull over to take 8 hours sleep with living animals onboard. Especially in hot summers.

    My hat off to you man cleanest cattle hauler I've seen it takes effort and dedication for sure on how you keep your equipment clean the trailer is definitely an expensive maze,be safe when maneuvering them cattle.

    We haul a lot of smaller desert cattle and you can fit 100 head of ropin steers on one of those rigs it pretty crazy

    I have a few questions for cattle haulers 1. Are they only to do it overnight? Are they not to fuel while they are loaded? Are they not to take breaks while loaded? I'm a trucker just a few questions I had concerning them thanks

      They can fuel while loaded but you won’t to be fueled when u load so you don’t have to stop. Running at night, less traffic and in summer months, it’s cooler for the cattle. And different hours of service. You only pull over and nap if u need it. No full 10 hour break. When u load you get to your destination quick as u can.

      @@toddalexander5517 exactly… so they are still able to run paper time cards… they’re suppose to abide by the laws of service but they were exempt from being part of the electronic logs…. So basically with paper logs you still have the same laws but with paper you can alter that log to make it look like you did everything you did was legal when reality is you did what you had to do to get the cattle from point a to point b as quick as possible.

      You might spend a couple hundred extra a week compared to some boring freightliner. But that doesn't matter much if your pulling in 7-10k a week. It's just what it costs to look like a badass

      I’ve seen guys with raged out freight-shakers and junk trailers kill themselves because of money trouble and dealing with crappy felon drivers. I would rather put back into my company and attract good drivers and quality clients.

      You used to see nothing but petes, but lately I've seen old centuries hauling livestock. Since the eld mandate, they have to use whatever than can get that's exempt.
