So true-if behind closed doors you aren’t living your best life then how can you be your best outside those doors. I love this.

What about the story behind the spilling of the milk?
Mom works all day. Laundry is piled up. I told my child 5 times to move the milk away from the edge of the table?
This is where the world went wrong.
    Where is the reality?

Maybe the child needs a sippy cup??? The problem is solved. She could have poured the milk into the sippy cup and gave it to the child. Instead she let the child spill the milk and she got mad. Also, watch Bob Newhart-Stop It
Byron Katie had us watch this at her school for the work years ago and it is awesome!! Hope you all enjoy it!!!
I have been doing the work for about 20 years now and it truly has saved my life. The milk is such a small incident. I just found out that I will be taking care of my 11 year old great granddaughter. Instead of getting upset because the people in her life either drink or do drugs or they are in jail. I decided to find the good. I cannot change the situation so I will do my best to make her life and my life and my husband's the best way that I can. I just finished 20 chemo's and 20 radiations and I really wanted whatever time I have left to be peaceful and not deal with a pre-teen. But because of the work I have learned you cannot argue with reality. This is what is happening so I need to make the best of it. End of story...deal with it. Also her book Cancer Meets Inquire helped me so much 12 years ago with Ovarian Cancer and now Angio Sarcoma Cancer this year. This is reality and do not argue with it. When you truly learn this then life is better. Blessings to All

The world is not wrong it's what we think about it. Mom shouldn't work all day, the laundry shouldn't pile up, the milk shouldn't be at the edge of the table and child should be functioning accordingly. The reality is all these things and the way they are, because that is what is. My mind says "it should be different"! and goes to war with the world, the reality, the child and myself and creates pain for me and others. Can I accept or even love what is? Can I be at peace with my exhaustion, the pile of laundry, the spilled milk, my child, my mind, myself in that situation? Can I?

right, or, u could mentally get urself so riled up, full of resentment, lash out, then justify it & repeat..
..until u end up in a clock tower!

That is a weak postulate that the child is "unconscious." Of course, it isn't true. What if the question had been, "My child was not paying attention?" That most likely is true. But, is it fair to hold the child responsible for an action with high probability of happening?

The Work is your Salvation. Jesus said “work out your own Salvation”. Check out the Fourth Way it speaks about the Work. We must Wake up
