- I will help you find a place that is local to you for finding hardwoods and plywood for your next woodworking project. Its as easy as using google!
Please help others watching this video by listing the name of the store you shop at and what city and state its in. Thanks!!! - Jak na to + styl
Please list any place that you purchase wood from and what city to help other fellow woodworkers out!
Very informative video, unfortunately I havent come across any place near me, long island new york, where i can find wood other than the big box stores. Just starting to get into woodworking as a habit and have built a small desk for my daughter and am now looking to build a toy chest with a busy board. If anyone has any tips for my area i would love to hear them I am in Valley Stream NY 11580.
TAMPA, FL -
Quality sheet goods at big box prices (not sure about hardwoods yet), IMECA LUMBER & HARDWARE (N. Florida Ave.). Ex. 3/4", 4x8, pre-finished (one side) birch = $36.50!
Hardwoods and woodworking supply, CRAFTSMAN SUPPLY (North 23rd Steet).
That is a great price for pre-finished!
Have you tried the Garnica plywood brand?
That a great price, but as you know Birch plywood is not the same as Baltic Birch. I assume the plywood you are getting is a 5ply laminate for a 3/4" sheet, whereas Baltic Birch has 13 plys and is all made from real hardwood Birch...no fillers.
I'm having trouble finding somewhere near Nashville for some reason. I drove an hour to grab some Walnut and Maple previously from a Facebook marketplace guy, but it wasn't even dried yet, so I'm still waiting a bit to use it, and it's taking up precious room in my shop in the meantime.
Did you ever find a place around Nashville? I'm having trouble looking for a place around there as well.
@@jasonj9806 I actually emailed Brad, and he said he gets his Plywood and some other wood for specific projects at Nashville Plywood. Hardwoods mostly from Craigslist and if he doesn't already have what he needs Mimms or Woodcraft.
Thanks for the info.
I’m in north LA (Simi Valley). I go to Far West Plywood, Northridge Lumber, and Rockler. I’ve wanted to try Bohnhoff Lumber but haven’t been yet.
Far West plywood looks like a pretty big operation!
@@DoingitWithjason It is. But they have nice supply of good project-worthy woods and really helpful staff.
That is a huge plus. Having helpful and knowledgeable companies like that have helped me so much throughout my journey
How is northridge lumber as far as inventory, prices and quality
@@ThaDrizzyDre I moved out of the area two years ago, but as long as I used them, they were my go-to source for lumber and rough sheet goods. When I shopped there, they didn’t sell hardwoods for woodworking or finish sheet materials.
Where can I get quality lumber cheap in southern Minnesota/near Iowa border?
The border is pretty long 😂
But I found this place and it looks a lot like the places I order from. Hopefully not too far from you.

@@DoingitWithjason Thank you! That's about 30mins from me.
@@SylvariDMT Awesome! Good deal!
Man these ads are long. But know i let em run for friends of the family.
Thanks ☺️ they sure are
Just go to the woodprix website if you want to do it yourself.
This is how you turn something really simple out of something what would likely be very hard. Reminds me about Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible which is being given away and can try go’ogling, but I’m not so sure, have a good one!
