As I watch these journal pages forming I am really getting a feel for how each layer is needed to give depth and dimension to the whole finished page. Having never done one of these I do feel my confidence picking up and may just one day DO IT! Thanks Vicki for sharing these fun art creations. Yes, I love the little hands that pop in to help mama out. They are precious.

Hi Vicky, could you please tell me which is the difference between the Pitt brush pens and the Stampers Big Brush Pens?... I want to buy the one that you use for the shadows... but I'm not sure which type is better for that.
Art is truly international, we all know and recognize your watering can, so it is always so delightful to see what new concept you show. I can't say anything that has not already been said. I love your work and I am inspired to try it out, even got a journal to start one for myself. What a marvelous way to involve your son and daughter, too.

I have always struggled with shading but have always used black and it always looks terrible, it’s good to learn that shading can be done in the colour and looks really good, more natural , thank you 😊

Vicky, thank you for sharing another wonderful art journal page. I smile whenever I see a new one posted. One trouble I have is trying to get my cling stamps straight. Any helpful tips for me? I'm working on Mother's Day cards, and my sentiments always seem to be lopsided. lol

Hi and thanks for commenting. Before I start I have the basic idea on my mind and I always know what quote I am going to be using. But I didn't leave that much space in purpose. Don't forget that I use letters to stamp my quote and that means I can manipulate them so they fit... I can put them as far or as close as I need to. So that's the trick. I have shared all my videos here on youtube but they are more or less like this... how I do it. Vicky, this IS really cute. I love gardening very much, too. I have a questions for you. I purchased a new 4 oz. jar of Claudine Hellmuth's Studio Gesso in White (regular gesso), but when I used it, it was gritty. I don't think it's suppose to be gritty because it's just acrylic paint, like you said with some fixatives. So why is it gritty? It shouldn't be. This is my first time using Gesso. I didn't mix it. I used it straight out of the jar, just like you taught in your tutorials. I was upset because it damaged my project and I had to start again and use another Gesso brand I had. Thanks for your input.

I have just finished watching the last of your page videos and have noticed you making cards recently. please tell me more journal pages are underway and that you haven't switched to card making for good!
This was the longest video I think you've done. I was waiting for this one! In the mean time, I was searching for other journals to enjoy. I found none. Do you have any videos of other artists that inspire you? So far I have been watching messy renditions of unplanned things where all of their efforts are covered up by other stuff and the outcome is something I wished I never took the time to watch...you know what I mean.
My favorites are ***** and france papillon I also love watching the work of other artists as well such as Donna Downey and Christy Tomlinson All have different styles but you can learn so much about composition, different mediums and techniques from these artists. Then make them your own and make a layout that is appealing to your own eyes!

I always love your work Vicky. You're inspirational! Just a question that came to me watching this. English isn't your first language ,so why do you use English in your journaling and cards? Do you also journal in your mother tongue? :-)
art is nicer when you share it with others. And since I share it here on youtube with the rest of the world I use English to make it "international" I guess! I don't mind my pages being in English.

May I ask about these Gelatos. Once they are dry on the paper, are they still soluble to water? I want the paint to stay where it is, when I paint on it with medium or something else that can be wet. I love your videos !!!
You do have to seal it with GEL MEDIUM before you do anything else to the page. If you look back at her video right after she uses the gelatos, her second step is to seal the page with G.M. Then skys the limit! WONDERFUL technique. Isnt she fabulous?!
I can't find any store that sells distress paint, distress ink, or any stamps similar to those😞
