The first step in my new stone cleansing is washing gently with soap & water & drying. In 35 yrs haven’t had an issue yet. Have also worn a Labradorite pendant pretty much 100% of the time, not removing for showers & not noticed a difference in it... soooo....... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Beware charging PYRITE in the moonlight! Last week I charged my pyrite crystals under the full moon together with my other crystals. After a few hours the stones are soaking in dew and they are very cold (just like a glass of water out of the fridge). It didn't rained that night but the night is so cold and the humidity is high. The pyrites begin to smell rusty because they are wet. I immediately carry them inside, wipe them thoroughly dry and then charge them in the sunlight the whole morning. That's why pyrite should ideally be charged in sunlight only
I also heard Seftonite (a type of bloodstone) should limit getting wet, they contain pyrite particles and the red hematite is also sensitive to water. I have Labradorite black tourmaline and black obsidian and I can say they are safe to wash for short periods without issues.

Thanks so much! Yes when people are first starting out in the crystals world it’s hard to know a lot at the beginning! Hopefully this will help people know which crystals not to put in water! Yes the hardness scale is fascinating it’s good to know for all crystal collectors!sometimes it determines the price on why crystals are more expensive because they can be harder to carve!

Thanks for this concise video. For me, sound is easiest. Completely worry-free. No risk involved, like with exposure to water, salt, smoke or sunlight (I also don't handle smoke well). Also no risk of losing crystals from burying overnight in soil, like some say. I place crystals near my speaker (with selenite, carnelian and/or kyanite) and put on a "tingsha bell" video which you can find on here. I loop it a few minutes, so the sound waves mechanically 'reset' the crystal's vibration, like a tuning fork.

I just came across this video and was surprised with some of the crystals that shouldn't be exposed to water. Very good information to have - thank you for sharing it with us. I usually let my crystals - or anything else I want to cleanse - sit on Selenite for 12 - 24 hours. I pretty much just go by how it feels. I will sometimes bury my crystals in salt (NOT saltwater - just dry salt) or rice, or lay them on a bed of salt or rice, for about 24 hours. Dispose of the salt or rice afterwards - do not eat them. Mainly due to the possibility of toxic substances leaching into the rice or salt, but also because they are absorbing any negative energies attached to the crystals.

With your own, new personal crystals, you can sing a happy song to them, even a made up one. You can carry it around in your pocket so that it aligns with your energy. If you have an alter cloth that has a pentacle, seed of life mandala, or other symbols, it can realign your crystal and clear out any negative energy. You can even just draw the symbol on paper and use that as your highest intent is the basis for any crystal cleansing.

I had no idea that the hardness had something to do with it I’m sure I learned this in chemistry but forgot about it 😂😂 plz do a video on jewel /crystal serums or other skincare items that have crystals in it I think that a lot of people are intrigued by the packaging and possible properties but aren’t sure exactly what the consequences could possibly be ...

Another way to cleanse your crystals is to put them in your fridge or freezer. An elderly gentleman (93yrs old!) had been a rock hound/lapidarist his entire life. He didn’t believe in crystal healing etc (even though he was still running around in the desert Western Australia when he got time away from his shop, but I don’t think he would still be doing it today if he hadn’t spent his life working with crystals) he found me running my clear quartz under running water & said he always put his crystals in his freezer before an exhibition because they become so much clearer. This makes sense to me, & I believe the cold temperatures make the stones clearer by changing the stones vibrational frequencies = it must be cleansing them too?!! What are your thoughts??
    Kindest regards,
    Cheryl from Oz 😊

I’m new to crystals and I have a question.. i have a lapis lazuli bracelet and I saw a video not long ago about cleansing and charging your crystals and it said that you can cleanse them with water and so I did that with my little collection including the lapis lazuli and after watching your video and learning about the crystals that should and should not be in contact with water I want to know what should I do with my lapis bracelet ? I only cleansed it twice and it was fast like I didn’t soak it or left it for long under the water.. is it safe to wear ?

What about uncooked brown rice? Can I just leave all of my crystals in it and create a display bowl? What about course Himalayan pink salt ....would that be considered the same as salt water...so no "...ites" should go into it? I don't have many crystals as I'm new to this, but I just don't want my crystals sitting in a box or in a bag. I'm trying to think of what would be best to keep them in altogether in a creative way. Pinterest, but what's best materials to use? Your videos have been very helpful! Thank you!!!

Best to keep all crystals away from water and just cleanse with Sage, it's easier and safer imo.

Are red jasper crystals safe in water? And is it possible to cleanse my crystals by burying them in soil for 24 hours?

I have a question. So I found some crystals in my backyard but they are covered in rocks and dirt. Idk if they are water safe or not. But if they aren’t, how should I clean them?

Wow I had no idea cristal can realise toxic into water. Amber is the only one I know and I remember they were selling them by Baltic sea in Poland. I thought they are from the water

You mostly just don’t want to drink water that’s had amber in it, just because amber hold lots of germs.
