i literally just cleaned my new celestite by water, returned to my laptop and CZcams recommended this video to me on the homepage 🤦🏻♀️😂
Wow the algorithm is really strong on CZcams lol!
I done that with my labradorite.
And put it in water overnight
The first step in my new stone cleansing is washing gently with soap & water & drying. In 35 yrs haven’t had an issue yet. Have also worn a Labradorite pendant pretty much 100% of the time, not removing for showers & not noticed a difference in it... soooo....... 🤷🏻♀️
HAHA ME TOO
I’m super glad you did this, i didn’t know how many crystals there were that couldn’t be in water.
Same I didn’t know originally either! I usually didn’t put mine in water at all! I was nervous cause I know some crystals can’t be in water!

Beware charging PYRITE in the moonlight! Last week I charged my pyrite crystals under the full moon together with my other crystals. After a few hours the stones are soaking in dew and they are very cold (just like a glass of water out of the fridge). It didn't rained that night but the night is so cold and the humidity is high. The pyrites begin to smell rusty because they are wet. I immediately carry them inside, wipe them thoroughly dry and then charge them in the sunlight the whole morning. That's why pyrite should ideally be charged in sunlight only
I also heard Seftonite (a type of bloodstone) should limit getting wet, they contain pyrite particles and the red hematite is also sensitive to water. I have Labradorite black tourmaline and black obsidian and I can say they are safe to wash for short periods without issues.
I’ve always loved crystals, my nana always told me as a kid that she was a witch and I was always fascinated with her crystals. Glad I found your channel, I’ve been wanting to get some of my own for a while but I don’t know where to start with using them 💗
That so cool! Crystals can be so special!
Just got some new crystals and was thinking today about researching if they can be cleansed in water! Perfect timing ⭐
Omg how perfect! Isn’t that funny how the universe manifest stuff like that when we need it! 💕
I've been wanting to get more not crystals, but I know nothing about them so this was super interesting to me. That's so good to know that many are not safe in water!
Very important video for all crystal lovers, would never have thought water could be risky to use on Crystal's. I definitely feel more educated now after watching your video. I find the hardness scale part interesting. You have explained everything very well. Rebecca xx
Thanks so much! Yes when people are first starting out in the crystals world it’s hard to know a lot at the beginning! Hopefully this will help people know which crystals not to put in water! Yes the hardness scale is fascinating it’s good to know for all crystal collectors!sometimes it determines the price on why crystals are more expensive because they can be harder to carve!
omg i was literally about to cleanse my crystals with water and most of them are on this list😭 i’m so glad i found your youtube❤️
OH i'm so glad you found the video!
Love that this is direct and informative
Thanks for this concise video. For me, sound is easiest. Completely worry-free. No risk involved, like with exposure to water, salt, smoke or sunlight (I also don't handle smoke well). Also no risk of losing crystals from burying overnight in soil, like some say. I place crystals near my speaker (with selenite, carnelian and/or kyanite) and put on a "tingsha bell" video which you can find on here. I loop it a few minutes, so the sound waves mechanically 'reset' the crystal's vibration, like a tuning fork.
Thank you for all the research you've done for this! Great and easy rules of thumb to work with!
Another alternative method of cleansing I have used would be a salt garden, but like you mentioned some crystals do not react well with salt (generally raw pieces and intense colors should not be put in it). Again thank you for the awesome info!
Omg I found this incredibly educational. I am new to learning about crystals and I am going to completely change my methods. Thank you!!
I didn’t know some couldn’t go on water! I’ve been seeing those crystal infused water bottles. They are so neat! So it’s good to know which to steer clear from!
Yes usually it’s better if that crystals are encased and not just exposed!
Great video! A lot of good information! I also don't recomend cleansing amazonite in water. My raw piece became rusty. And hard water is also not good for geodes like amethyst since limescale sets in cracks. After years I started using distilled water :)
Yes that’s another “tie” crystal! Thanks for adding this in the comments! Distilled water is probably a little safer.
I’m so grateful to have this info
Oh good! So glad you found it helpful! 💕
I was just thinking about watching another one of your videos and you posted today :D
Yes! I try to post every Saturday!! Thanks for watching!!
So glad you posted i was looking for your videos but says i was not subscribed but i always was so resubscribed 🥰🥰🥰 Love watching your videos so relaxing ❤️This is the best VIdeo on you tube i have seen on this subject 👍
Lollee Sparklez yes hopefully it’s helpful!! I get so sad when I hear people’s crystals got destroyed!! Thank so much! Love seeing all your comments!! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow very informative, thank you for sharing!
This video absolutely saved me!! I actually am kinda OCD and washed my dessert rose just bcs numerous other ppl touched it in the store, imagine I did this with other toxic stones lol this def deserves a part 2!
Your content is amazing. Thank you!
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
I'm so glad you did this. Some of the crystal water bottle sell crystals that shouldn't be in water.
Yes and they’re so expensive! It’s better to find the crystals water bottles that have enclosed crystals! I’ve seen some with lapis which is like “omg no”
@@ColdBrewBarbie 😳😱💎🚱
Yes. When I see them I'm like ok they obviously don't know anything about crystals nor do they really care about their customers
@@pixiedoll9077 they probably don't realise and probably aren't intentionally puting people in danger
@@senbebe3320 that is why they should really do research before selling something that could be harmful to consumers
oh my god i really need this, thank you🥺👍
How wonderful knowledge! Thanks for share
Glad it was helpful!
Such an important video❤
I just came across this video and was surprised with some of the crystals that shouldn't be exposed to water. Very good information to have - thank you for sharing it with us. I usually let my crystals - or anything else I want to cleanse - sit on Selenite for 12 - 24 hours. I pretty much just go by how it feels. I will sometimes bury my crystals in salt (NOT saltwater - just dry salt) or rice, or lay them on a bed of salt or rice, for about 24 hours. Dispose of the salt or rice afterwards - do not eat them. Mainly due to the possibility of toxic substances leaching into the rice or salt, but also because they are absorbing any negative energies attached to the crystals.
Glad you found it helpful! There’s are great alternative tips to cleanse with!!
Just wanted to say tho congrats you are so close to 2k ❤️❤️❤️🥺
Thanks!! I can’t believe it! I think I’m only 5 away as of right now! 😍😍
Thank you . Please do more like this
I'm really glad I came across this video because I always wondered what types of crystals that I could use in my fish tank let alone drinking infused Crystal water which I've never done actually but it sounds so interesting
Thank you. Much needed information
Thank you for watching!! ❤️
Wow many I didn’t know!!
Thanks!
i made phimo crystal jewery for awhile, the labradorite handled the oven perfectly but the senenite got really messed up. crazy how much of this video i had never heard of before, thanks for the heads up!
I literally love you 😭✋🏽💚
Was just thinking about I have to search this, and this popped up. Thank you YT for reading my mind.. 😝 Thank you again for enlightening us. ❤
hey, i saw your comment on Cathrin Mannings video and decided to pop by your channel. Great job with your channel! #awesomevideo 💪🏻
Thank you so much!! Cathrin is amazing! I watch all her videos, she gives amazing tips that I’ve for sure used!!
Like your to the point informational video, thanks
I didn’t know crystals could be a health hazard when put in water! I’m sending this to a friend of mine that collects crystals!
Yes I’ve seen people ruin their crystals by putting them in water!
@@ColdBrewBarbie i ruined one of mine sadly and it was my largest
This was a very informative video about crystals never to put into water. I have some nice crystal bead bracelets and want to wear them and work with crystal but now I am worried about the safety of wearing and handling crystals. I would love a list of crystals safe to wear and hold in your hand and work with. One of my favorite crystals is Lapis Lazuli and I now worry about the pyrite in it and if its safe to wear and handle.

Found your video very helpful thank you so much 😊
Thank you for this video.
Glad it was helpful!
With your own, new personal crystals, you can sing a happy song to them, even a made up one. You can carry it around in your pocket so that it aligns with your energy. If you have an alter cloth that has a pentacle, seed of life mandala, or other symbols, it can realign your crystal and clear out any negative energy. You can even just draw the symbol on paper and use that as your highest intent is the basis for any crystal cleansing.
This is so insightful I’ve been seeing crystal elixir water bottles but have been wary on if digesting water that has been exposed would be safe or not. I had no idea that the hardness had something to do with it I’m sure I learned this in chemistry but forgot about it 😂😂 plz do a video on jewel /crystal serums or other skincare items that have crystals in it I think that a lot of people are intrigued by the packaging and possible properties but aren’t sure exactly what the consequences could possibly be ...
I know those water bottles with the crystals exposed make me nervous! Especially ones with crystals that have pyrite, you definitely don’t want to be drinking that water! Yes I should do a video like that! Thanks for the idea!!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Subscribed and hit the thumbs up as i walk in even before watching your video 👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for supporting the channel!
@@ColdBrewBarbie thank you for sharing, im learning a lot 🥰🥰
Thank you so much!!
Never Known All this Great Information Learn Lots
So glad you’ve found it helpful
Can you do a video of which crystal is safe to put in water? Btw I just found your channel and I already love it! Subscribed!
So glad you just found my channel 😍 yes I can work on doing a video for that! Quartz are usually safe to put in water!
@@ColdBrewBarbie Thank you!!!!😍💜💜💜
Tnx for this imformative video..
Hey, great video and info. Do you know if arfvedsonite is completely safe to handle as long as it's not exposed to water or broken and dusty? Nearly everywhere says it's safe but there are places saying it isn't, although it's very very popular for jewelry etc so I'm sure it's 100% safe to handle.
Is this true for polished tumbles as well? And can we use incense sticks in place of sage to cleanse the crystals?
I love using sound to cleanse my crystals. Sage aggrevates my allergies but I do use it too sometimes.
Oh that’s a great way to do it as well! Yes I’m careful with sage too since I have asthma!
Thank you very much 💕
Thank you for all this information really useful 🙏 I used to clean all my stones and crystals with water and sea salt 🙄 and drink the water from a moldavite 😬 so now I know thank you again.
This program was too fast and the images disappear really fast please give this information in two parts so we can learn please 🙏
Is it safe to buy a lapis ring while living in a humid climate
Learning to become a witch so right now I'm studying, thank you for helping me fill out some notes! I'll definitely view your channle more in case there's anything else I can use
Glad you found it helpful!!
do you know if tumbled crystals would be less toxic?
You can also cleanse crystals in the earth. Furthermore there is cleansing by way of 'intention' (if you perform Reiki or are a spiritualist).
Can u also make a version of this but with “sun light”? Like how some crystal cant be expose to sunlight
Girl…. lol, let me tell you what brought me here. I put Lapis Luzili and Selenite in my water bottle. Forgot it on the counter and after an hour, went downstairs to get it. My water was bubbling. Not boiling bubbling, but had tiny bubbles like it was a carbonated beverage. I’m SO glad I didn’t drink it lol.
Hello! I just found this video because I recently started my crystal collection. I was told to leave under running water for a few minutes, is this just as damaging or am I not cleansing at all with that method? Thanks! 😊
Omg... i did not know all that.. thanks
i have two moonstone rings and i’ve been washing my hands a lot but haven’t noticed anything. you think the rings are different than the raw form?
another good one for cleansing is amethyst clusters/geode beds
What about rain water? I’ve seen people collect rain water, what is it used for?
Wondering what's the song at 11:57 . Also thanks for the video! definitely been making some mistakes cleansing mine. The crab labradorite (my sign is cancer) and fluorite tower (Very beautiful) were amazing, i'm so glad I snagged it.
I’ll try to get a name of the song, it might not be a full song, it’s none copyright so it may just be a section vs a full song, but I’ll see what I can find out! Oh I’m so glad you love the crab he’s so special! I love those fluorite the quartz is so clear!
Another way to cleanse your crystals is to put them in your fridge or freezer. An elderly gentleman (93yrs old!) had been a rock hound/lapidarist his entire life. He didn’t believe in crystal healing etc (even though he was still running around in the desert Western Australia when he got time away from his shop, but I don’t think he would still be doing it today if he hadn’t spent his life working with crystals) he found me running my clear quartz under running water & said he always put his crystals in his freezer before an exhibition because they become so much clearer. This makes sense to me, & I believe the cold temperatures make the stones clearer by changing the stones vibrational frequencies = it must be cleansing them too?!! What are your thoughts??
Kindest regards,
Cheryl from Oz 😊
It was so stupid of me to cleanse my raw fluorite in salt water. I'm only starting out and have so much to learn, I was so excited to begin my journey and didn't bother fact checking whether water would be appropriate, the next day I saw my salt stuck to the blue fluorite and disintegrated a little TT but this video has been so educational
Do all of these apply to oil also? I like to put a little of my oils on my hands and hold my crystals but I wasn’t sure so I really only do that with my quartz’s.
I have a crystal white it's a very symmetrical circle and it said when I bought it dont put in water do you know what the crystal is and the consequences are? It's okay if you dont know!
This might be a dumb question but is a bracelet made out of bumblebee jasper ok to get wet? I mean when you wash your hands and get it wet.
Thank you ❤️
another video you could do is how many types of crystals should never be left in direct sunlight - like in a window sill
edit: there are rare varieties that are quite poisonous - and there are also the radioactives to watch out for
I put my raw aquamarine and black tourmaline in salt water for only 30 minutes (I didn't use it for elixirs). Is it okay?
I have a question I'm drawn to malachite but I read it has toxins? I have bracelet made the f malachite do you think they are safe to keep using?
hi I accidentally put crystals in the water that can't go in. Do you think they won't work anymore? for example fluorite, apatite and labradorite.
Hi I know I’m so late to this video, but I got my crystals through a wholesale supplier. They are kind of dusty I can’t find any videos on how to clean them. Any tips ?
Rock artisans: "but, all my rough rocks go in water."
I CLEANED, not cleansed, my pyrite in baking soda water. Rinsed it well, outside, and it was beautiful. I'm surprised I didn't ruin it
I recieved a yoni steam kit with carnelian, rose quartz and smokey quartz and Flourite, I am not concerned if they dissolve but is it safe to use in a yoni steam?
OMG what a list, can you just tell us what we CAN put in water😭 I like to make infused moon water to drink🥺
Nice info how about terahertz bracelet
hi 2021, is amethyst crystals ok for cleanse with water? thanks
Going to buy a polished prehnite and I am wondering which method should I use. Can I use water?
I'm still trying to learn the difference between "cleansing" and "charging" by moon or sunlight.
Also, I did notice in this video your reference photos of selenite look similar to the reference photos you used for satin spar in another one of your videos. I'm still stumbling with that one too. =D
I’m new to crystals and I have a question.. i have a lapis lazuli bracelet and I saw a video not long ago about cleansing and charging your crystals and it said that you can cleanse them with water and so I did that with my little collection including the lapis lazuli and after watching your video and learning about the crystals that should and should not be in contact with water I want to know what should I do with my lapis bracelet ? I only cleansed it twice and it was fast like I didn’t soak it or left it for long under the water.. is it safe to wear ?
I had laborite in my fish tank for literally months. Do I throw it away??
What about uncooked brown rice? Can I just leave all of my crystals in it and create a display bowl? What about course Himalayan pink salt ....would that be considered the same as salt water...so no "...ites" should go into it? I don't have many crystals as I'm new to this, but I just don't want my crystals sitting in a box or in a bag. I'm trying to think of what would be best to keep them in altogether in a creative way. Pinterest, but what's best materials to use? Your videos have been very helpful! Thank you!!!
Are you able to wear these crystals raw crystals?
Best to keep all crystals away from water and just cleanse with Sage, it's easier and safer imo.
How long should it be in water ?
Are red jasper crystals safe in water? And is it possible to cleanse my crystals by burying them in soil for 24 hours?
I have a question. So I found some crystals in my backyard but they are covered in rocks and dirt. Idk if they are water safe or not. But if they aren’t, how should I clean them?
You should be able to rinse them off and it should be safe!
What about rain water? or playing singing bowl music since i dont have singing bowls? And what minutes?
How long is consider long-term exposure? How about Rhodochrosite and Rhodonite?
i accidentally left my malachite in the washing machine and it cracked. do i throw it away? help plz!
Thanks you
what about crystals that can’t go in salt? as in a charging/cleaning station? are there crystals that can’t go in dry salt/ pink salt?
Can you do one that talks about which ones can be in the sun or they will fade?
Sure!
Would exposing a crystal to a humidifier in a room be a risk for toxicity?
Can i put onyx in water?
Wow I had no idea cristal can realise toxic into water. Amber is the only one I know and I remember they were selling them by Baltic sea in Poland. I thought they are from the water
You mostly just don’t want to drink water that’s had amber in it, just because amber hold lots of germs.
You can use white rice. Get a bowl and fill it woth white rice and bury ur crystals in it leqve them for few hours and theyre cleansed
And you can reuse the rice for a couple of times
Can agates also go in water? Pls answer TwT
