HOW TO SPOT FAKE CRYSTALS | PART 5 | ROSE QUARTZ , PINK AMETHYST & AMETHYST | ARE YOUR CRYSTALS FAKE

  • Hi Friends!
Welcome back to another HOW TO SPOT FAKE CRYSTALS VIDEO video! This is part 5 of a series on my channel of HOW TO SPOT FAKE CRYSTALS!
In Todays video we will be focusing on today will be ROSE QUARTZ, PINK AMETHYST & AMETHYST!
LAVENDER ROSE QUARTZ: There is such a thing as real lavender rose quartz but it only comes from one mine in Brazil. It comes from the Boquira Mine. (and to my knowledge the mine is closed) Most of the Lavender Quartz I have seen on the market is the lower quality version of rose quartz.
Disclaimer: This is what I've personally seen and been told by my suppliers being a seller and buyer. I do not know everything nor claim too. My intention is to prevent you from paying too much for a low quality piece and bring awareness to a marketing technique that is "claiming" something is rare when its not.
This is part 5 of a series of "How to Spot Fake Crystals" Video

I’m a crystal newbie and I love learning about them more and more each day.... I watched your video on the mandmade crystals last night and it was phenomenal! I absolutely love rose quartz and amethyst! Thank you so much for the tips! I agree, a lot of the crystal jewelry I’ve seen seems a bit off because the colors are so vibrant that it kinda makes you wonder whether they are real or not... I do prefers the stones in their rough state 🥰

Don't get me wrong I love the deep clear pink hues in the better stuff but I can't help but be drawn to the purpley pieces as well. 🔮 I love these videos, it's so important to educate ourselves on what we're buying and also how it's mined. There r so many fakes and misrepresented crystals, but videos like yours make me feel much more confident that I won't be fooled! Thank you very much for your effort and hard work, it's much appreciated ❤️

I have another one, for banded agates that are relatively thin (the thickest I tested it on was 0.5 centimetres)! I can't exactly tell if it's a foolproof thing as it's only based on my experience comparing the real ones to glass fakes but here goes - agates typically have lighter bands that don't seem particularly translucent. If you turn on your phone flashlight (or any flashlight really) and hover the agate directly over it however, the light should be able to shine through the lighter bands if the agate is real. If it's a glass fake, the light will be evenly spread (typically barely passing through) unless there are parts that are clearly translucent even without the flashlight.

Thank you for all your wonderful videos and hard work. I just wanted to share what a rock hunter told me years ago about lavender rose. He said that the deeper the stone is in the ground with less sun exposure, the pinker it will be. I had asked about one of his towers looking more lavender in color and he said, yes this is because it wasn't as deep down in the ground and had more sun. That's just what he said and I've always gone with that Lol

I actually haven’t seen fluorite being faked so I’m pretty sure any fluorite out in the market is authentic!
