    Here in Brazil the adjective Esquisito [PT-BR] similar in spelling to Exquisite [EN] means the same as abnormal, bizarre, "weirdo" in English. I think it can be considered a false cognate.

    Exquisite and terrific are kind of false friends in Portuguese, because "esquisito" means weird and "terrificante" means terrifying.

    Are you aware the " intensity of verbs in English"?
    #1 very
    #2.too
    #3so
    Use very( adverb or verb usage) when the speaker's statement explanation is 50% of quality.
    Use,too, when the speaker's proposal statement is 75 % real.
    Use, so, speaker's explanation deserves the State of 100%.
