to name a few
Anything by burial 😁
This one, SP:MC - Oh My Gosh, Noah D - Seeerious, Commodo - Querky, The Others - Say To You and lots more
Damn didn't expect anything like this but I am so hyped
I requested an old school skream/benga type dubstep tutorial a few months ago, now finally here it is!!! thanks man!!
your welcome!
HE'S DONE IT AGAIN! 🔥
glad you enjoyed!
I'm here to watch you put a think break to all the classics and you damn well know it
Excellent as always man. Well explained and to the point. Thanks for doing all these tutorials.
Awesomee, was looking forward to this one man! 🙌
Great job. Really interesitng and useful to see the work that went intot this track!
Gives me inspiration to know that such a banger is actually quite simple in terms of sound design! Well done figuring out the chord progressions!
Great tune, and great lesson, as always. Love your jungle rework!!
Absoluuuute legend as always. Awesome video bro.
Keep it up buddy, you’re killing it!
Awesome tutorial, as usual ;)
I'm glad you're talking about how the track changes key between two sections and how it impacts the mood. I was once told by a supposedly good producer/DJ that a key change in one of my tracks i showed him was unnecessary... I hope he watches this video
I dig the twist you added with the think!
thanks man!
Yes yessss! That flip is 🔥 ! Skream's - Summer Dreams is one of my favourites.
Please try do this Stranjah!
this is very valuable content thank you
Those chromatic shifts makes me feel that Skream was still an amateur when he wrote this, but it is still a masterpiece
are you mad
Best CZcams tutor out there
bruh, if your intros weren't so good, i probably wouldn't learn anything. hands down the best informative youtube videos ever, just so easy to follow x
Absolutely love this song. Classic. Skepta used to joke 'you know we blew this tune innit' because it caught fire and was vocalled by Skepta, Dizzee and Jammer. I think they gave a copy to their DJ (Maximum) and would just rinse it on their radio sets.
i love the history of dubstep. if u have and documentaries to recommend, lmk!
7:05 amen brother, sometimes I transcribe NES melodies and I'll have a hard time finding the harmony underneath, especially when it's not consistently a 3rd/5th/7th throughout.
Love it. And ordered a shirt.
mega thanks
beautiful track and same goes for the remake! I bought the og record in 2006 and still love it
Classic, this tune will never go old!
Your subs are climbing quick great job.
One of my favourite dnb dubstep remixes of this track was from Zinc but this is dope.
as if you made a tutorial for one of my fave classics, absolute legend!
Very interesting !!! an old school favorite !! i always thought it was a simple arpeggiator which it may be , but realisticlly its more the way you showed us.. thank you
Skream has said it’s a simple arpeggiator.
Quality as usual
Thank you!
Fantastic job 😁👌
Thank you!
Legend
nice one !
Those guys were local to me and I used to see scream in my local record shop, the legendary big apple.
Also used to have Bailey come into my mates 2nd hand record shop jhst down the road from apple.
That's cool man, good to know when legends come from humble places
U must be from CRO...Yes the memories, used to get some of my vinyls from big apple in the market also homer in swag records back in the days,
Hatcha and Easyryder R.I.P🙏🏾Hatcha used to work there with paul plasticman, good old days, still got all of my garage vinyls, wasn't into dubstep to be honest.
funny though i used to play garage/breaks but raved to drum n bass..lol
probably have a rinse out and dust off the old decks for xmas
@@profyle766
Close mate (SE25) so I could get a crystal clear signal of upfront fm.
Yep used to frequent SWAG also, as you say homer and that moody little blonde bird 😁😁
Also wax city when it was next to safari cinema (god showing me age now) then when it moved up rhe road from swag.
Loved apple though, with it's victorian feel as you went up those tight stairs to the top floor listening booths.
Always used to think hatcha was apples answer to the moody bird from swag. 😁😁
My mate Ray (although no contact in 20yrs) used to own the 2nd hand record shop in the in shops indoor market (now a lidls) just outside church st tram stop.
Got rid of my vinyl about 15yrs ago and have spent the best part of this year building it back up, hoping my decks get delivered later so I can have a mix.
Bought a collection of vinyl in the summer from a fella near to me (Bognor) and in it was hatchas 'badboy' and Mentas 'sound of the future' complete with apple sticker.
Also as you mentioned I too was a garage head who loved DnB too but never went to a garage rave.. 😁😁
Was down in Croydon over the weekend for my usual pre chrimbo friends and family meet up and had a walk/drive past the old haunts, shame in what it has become.
Really nice as usual ! Would love to see kryptic minds - Hybrid (Biome remix) remaking :D
Merry Christmas mate
thanks you as well!
Hey Stranjah, this was made in FL Studio, have a look through the legacy samples, you’ll probably find the originals✌️
ahh heard about it, will have to look for those!
Late - Saw, Sine, Square / from the record Voices From The Night
stranjah in december 2020: ok, lemme show you how it's done
skream in february 2021 after releasing the midnight request line VIP: oh, do go on 😏
skream - 2D
Big up stranjah
Much respects!
Stranjah, when will you get round to 4x4 UK Bassline Niche
How to find the notes underneath; low pass the entire track until you reach the point that the lower notes are sitting at, the turn up the rez on the filter to make these target notes stand out. Then stick a Tuner on the end. Doesn't always work cleanly, but usually you can find at least one or two notes and fill in the rest yourself.
That's a cool trick!
Would love you to do some more jump up like Latte (Shit Happens) and Toxinate (Anger Issues)
sick!!! please do some goth trad stuff
Yes! Goth Trad is one of the most consistent in the genre
Impressive! Sick video man... Now try Coki - Goblin ;)
will see!
How to make the Pictures in my head MJ Cole - High contrast remix bass sound would be amazing. Such a old school baseline too, would love to know how to make it, it comes In at 1:07 thanks :)
I love you.
Discipline-untold

skream bahl fwd has to be one of my favourites from skream at least.
Best dubstep tune ever made
@@BrotherPenny agreed, when those rolling bongos come in.
I don't think he was switching to a different key when he went from C to F. F is just the 4th in the key of Eb minor. A i-iv progression. He actually was switching keys in the chromatic part that one based on B minor I guess.
Silkie - Test!!!!
I saw skream at Shambhala 2008, I think he was like 16 at the time, I was 16 too, he played the village on pk sound when they had these crazy powerful hornfolded subs (those speakers are illegal now) and he dropped some crazy bass that cleared out the village because it was destroying people ears, I dont know if the sound tech fucked up or the track hadn't been mastered on a big system plus the overkill subs... it was ruthless
Definitely one of the most influential times of my life and why I dj and produce music now
Midnight request line was the hot track of the time, I remember lots of djs were rinsing it
Lol skream was older than 16 in 2008
more dubstep content !!!
what headphones are those?
Genuine question. Would it really be switching scales when going up to C? It seems like that’s more just part of the Chord progression being that c is also a perfect 5th away from F. Plus all notes in that C chord are still in F minors scale.
Also would going down to E/B at the end of each section be the harmonic minor? Since that “mode” is just raising the 7th scale degree up a half step. But since you’re playing all the notes relative to that note which ends at each phrase E/B (all not related to the key of F) maybe that’s a different type of modal interchange?
Cool video though btw :)
You bring up a good point. To be more clear, I'm speaking of changing the bass key. The chords are still in the same scale (except when it changes one key down chromatically). I don't think going down the one note would be a harmonic minor only because the entire chord is shifted down one note chromatically. However, I'm open to be corrected by anyone who has better music theory.
I'll also add that I think a lot of these tracks were written without much awareness of the theory, and more just going by the vibe. But its good to break it down to understand what is happening :-)
@@connorqdnb8090 thank you!
Yeah I agree, I don’t think he was Consciously thinking “ohh ok I’m gonna do this mode thing here” he was definitely just vibing. Just cool to break stuff down and understand what people have done as you know :) I also agree though that since the whole chord goes does to B / E (Not just the bass note) that it wouldn’t be harmonic minor but I wasn’t too sure either.
Thanks Man 🙏🏻 🥁
Can you do skream filth next please
hey can you do a tutorial on how to get sounds from “made in china” by Damage report

Horsepower Productions - Rain
download plssssss
9:00 I'm not so sure he actually copy pasted it. I'm pretty sure he put a delay on it at 1/8 with a short feedback and then put on a second delay.
go go gadget by rusko
🚗💨💨
Jungle remix sounds wayyyy better IMO
Nobody ever mentions how much niche aka bassline house pushed forward dubstep.. Oh dubstep was too slow for the clubs people used to mix grime with it..niche became popular up northern England.. ( T2 - Heartbroken and Jamie dougan who pretty founded it out of the niche nite club) .. and people started to download niche bassline vst files (haha I did it) and modern brostep was born 3 years before skrilex turned up 😁 agent x made an amazing bassline mixtape.
will look for that agent x mix bigup
@@STRANJAH ministry of sound did some really good bassline albums 🔊😁👌
