Very fair! Fun stuff to note in here is the three-part harmony, really just singing a triad of whatever chord is playing in the background at the time; also the instrumentation (all M1: trumpets playing a polka pattern, and xylophone playing rolled notes over the melody for the brbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbr)

i know very little about writing & music production, so some terms i need to wrap my head around, but this was super fun to see! the writing tricks in particular i understand better, and the tips you gave were so insightful
my skills are more on the visual side of things so i enjoyed the minute of you explaining how you did the video. yes!! animating words are more work than people realize lmao but it’s so fun
i think you also nailed caine’s voice & character. i know you had a bank of lines from the pilot episode, but i was really impressed with the way you really picked up on his tone and overall vibe, and also being able to deliver that. so impressed!

16:32 Saving the backup vocals from the second verse cause I think they sound really cool, it's the only background part missing from the instrumental cover besides the lead voice, and I would definitely have to come back if I tried to replicate the harmonies here myself.

Also this behind the scenes, i never realized how long it actually takes to animate words on a screen, it turned out incredible! When I first listened to the song, the voice is spot on, captures Caine perfectly. The vibe of the song is everything, it feels so nostalgic in a way that I can't explain. Do you have any tips for a beginner who wants to get into this music writing stuff? For reference im mostly interested in instrumental music than anything with lyrics, and going to be using it probably mostly as backing tracks for videogames. Plus I want to work mostly with midi in the DAW.
I have tried to mess with it but I havnt really gotten things to "click" enough for me to practice regularly. Plus I have trouble finding good recourses online, it feels like a lot of the videos I watch are just a few levels over my current knowledge.
