    Welcome to our CZcams channel!
We are loving family that live in Bamboo Huts in Rural Thailand. Damo (me), Ryan (my husband), and Otis (Our Son) spend our days taking care of the land and the animals and enjoying each others company.

Formally Ryan worked for "The Coffee Club Thailand" Chain, but now we have opted for a simpler lifestyle, and living in "The Now". On the vlog we will show you what it is like to live in Rural Thailand, details on plants we grow on our land, and most importantly our honest and authentic selves, the good, the bad and the ugly.

    Big Love,
    Damo, Ryan & Tis

Your in a different place in your life you and Damo. I'm still trying to decide which place would be better to settle in the Philippines or Thailand. I'm retired and leaving California soon. I'll be traveling to both places soon. Law enforcement has created so much stress for me, can't wait for a more relaxed environment.

Yet again a great vlog guys, really enjoyed watching your work on the pig house. Misery looks like a normal 'ham' pig however she's a 2 toned one, so cute!
Same like Damo and you, Paung and I have been together since 2007 and we've been through lots. Me moving to Thailand and then back to the Netherlands again because the world economic crisis hit in 2008 and my employer couldn't pay me anymore. Did some private teaching which wasn't my cup of tea really, did website maintenance for a travel agency but not enough to pay the bills. In 2010 we bought a running brokerage business on Koh Chang from a friend of mine but in the end that didn't make the money we'd thought to make either. Then we decided to get Paung her indefinite permission to stay in the Netherlands and she's here now since 2011. She's a Yasothon girl originally and in 2019 I visited Isaan first time in my life and immediately fell in love with that region.
It's definitely my dream to live there in the future.

Geese make lovely "watchdogs" and also pets for the kids. We had 5 geese for that purpose and they kept stray dogs away from our horses in Australia 🇦🇺 ; the kids loved their soft downy necks and enjoyed following their antics all over our 7 acre property.

Kraits and (especially) vipers give me the creeps. The Elapids - the cobras - are active snakes, so they tend to move away, bless them.. Kraits are non-aggressive. But if one was attracted to your bodily warmth and you roll on it you might never wake up. And then the vipers - God, the vipers. They don't move, and if you even put your foot near it they'll strike you. The big bit of military advice is to never step over a log, but always on top of it, and then a big step away. Vipers are ambush predators, and they lie alongside logs. My pal the special forces soldier had a mate bitten by a viper in South America. Lost a big chunk from the back of his leg. Hideous. The other thing my pal said, which was interesting, is that snakes (the Middle East this time) flew away from shade when him and his pals occupied it. They can't regulate their temperature, so leaving isolated shade in the desert is dangerous, but still it was no problem. At night though - when they were trying to get food - the same snakes were really aggressive, or certainly loudly hissing whenever they went near them.

Curious - does your grass require mowing or trimming. I am so tired of cutting grass but like soft green area for the feet and pets

    Nice episode 👏
Most green snakes are harmless and the ones that aren't don't often end up in your bungalow.
Very common to have green snakes around bamboo. Great for keeping mice and gecko's under control...
Unfortunately most Thai's are terrified by all snakes and the immediate reaction is to kill it. 😔
Get to know the different species and you may become more comfortable with just let them be.
Cobras and some other species are definitely dangerous but not out to attack you.
