Your a lucky man ryan damo 1 in million.from perth western australia cheers
I like to think 2 in a million. I married a Buriram girl 36 years ago and she's the cornerstone of our family.
3 in that million. I married a girl an Issan girl she managed a hotel and came back to Perth an 15 years later still doing all the housework because she wants to make a home for us.
Like you i did not believe it would be cooked absolutely no way ,but it was cooked perfectly that just amazed me it really did . just goes to show us sometimes the old ways are the best. As always interested and informative and entertaining. Pembrokeshire west wales UK
Perfectly cooked! Damo is beautiful and so much fun to watch! You are such a precious couple!
Awesome! Watching from San Antonio, TX, USA. Been following your UTube for the last two years. You have such a lovely family Ryan and Demo. I am originally from Ubon, Thailand and have lived and worked for the Federal government since 1972 and completely retired in March 2010. Have been enjoying my retirement and been traveling to Thailand and Europe with my husband every other years. Will visit Thailand again for 3 months mid October 2925. I love your cottage and the way of life you live; simple but very happy family.
Hi Ryan & Mo. Very good vlog. Me & Na my Thai wife really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work & enjoy what you have. Tony & Na. Manchester UK. 😎🙏🙏
Hi Ryan & Mo i enjoy your day to day life, Vancouver BC
My father used to do this all the time. Yes, he used beer, not water. And the reason it burned because you put the oyster sauce on it.
Dude you won the lottery.
California USA- started watching when you were leaving quarantine to see Otis for the first time and I was going in to pick up my step daughter and bring her back. 🙏
''Some beer stuck in a chicken's arse or something...'' I nearly spat out my wine laughing!!!
It's cute how they tested each other's strength (digging part)..😅😅😅😅
Nice work fam! Very entertaining. I was with you Ryan, I was thinking there's no way that chook would cook with a little grass fire like that, considering it takes like 45 mins or something in a conventional oven...but there ya go, we all learned something new! Already subbed for a while, so give the goodies to someone new..🤘🙏
Fun funny episode guys. I am from USA as you recall, The 7-11 toasties were popular here in Pattaya 10 years ago and more so now. I've seen groups of Chinese tourists eating many foods from 7-11, sometimes eating inside while talking among each other. Mortar and Pestle work is harder than it looks! 555 I think that buffalo was sad to see his food being burned! Hay, hay, hay Was skeptical myself, but the chicken was cooked. I was thinking maybe Damo had been drinking some of the Chang as well , she is high on life which is 1000% better. Happy to see Yaai and Hugo for a moment. Thank you and Peace and Love Y'all
Cheers brother 👍
Watching from Wageningen , The Netherlands. I must try this when we're over in Lahan Sai. I bet my mother-in-law knows how to do this. Enjoying all your videos. Learning so much about every day life in rural Thailand. Big thanks , love from Holland
What a fun video, Damo so cute learning tricks from Yai ❤
Great video. I was laughing. When you say you would give Damo 1,000 baht if chicken was not cooked, I knew you would be 1,000 baht poorer. I was skeptical too. I have been in Thailand for a short time. But, I have learned that many ways of doing things in Thailand are so counterintuitive to the way we do things in the west. When in Thailand, bet with Thai. Cheers. Korat
I love your way to treat people,Ryan and Mo,my Thai wife and me have the same way to make people happy, and to show our appreciation for the people that help us out.Cheers from Sweden.😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Loved this very unusual cooking lesson, sure gonna try it! From South Africa, love both your channels, been to Thailand a few times for holidays

Hi I am from Malaysia n love watching your channel n I have learnt a lot of things from your channel.Thank you for sharing.Have a blessed day.
I honestly had a smile throughout the whole episode! Amazing job, Damo!Congrats on the 1000 BHT! Cheers from Barcelona, Spain! P.S. I miss those toasties!!!
haha cool cooking video. You should have done the Mark Wiens face too😂
We do this in the US, turkey on a 3 prong spike , put a burned out metal garbage over the bird, charcoal around the outside bottom and on top. 20lb turkey is done in3-3 1/2 hours.
Love the outdoor oven! Alabama, USA
In Chai Nat, Lop Buri, Klong Lan (back in the1980's), my relatives didn't have running water all over the house. They would was the clothes by hand and dry them by air dry. Young women relatives or house maids would do this chore by a water spigot if they had running water. I learned to launder my own clothes when I was 13 when my family was falling apart, and I had an outdoor manual labor job. Now in San Diego, I sometimes wash and dry/iron my own clothes in the shower for convenience.
Hi Ryan really love watching your Wee Family and your extended Family can’t wait to see finished Building. I am from NewZealand. Take Care. 💜🦋
We follow your channel from the Netherlands for almost 1 year now. My wife comes from Buriram, bandan district. Our house is also located there. Unfortunately we can visit it only 1 time a year. Your channel makes us happy to see the Thailand we love and miss. It feels real familiar.
So lovely video,to see you involve the family, and good laughing, and good cooking ❤❤😅😅😅😅😅
Korea- The chickens here are tiny, like sparrows. Typically only 1Kg but at the absolute maximum 1.7kg. A typical UK supermarket chicken is 2kg. Those you cooked were baby ostriches, surely.
Unusual way of cooking. Interesting. I love village life, unfortunately my husband can't do it. I'm a south east Asian living in UK and I've watched your channel since covid. Love your videos😊
Nice work 😊 we are from Uk near London and Chaloem Pra Giat Tapek
Love this vlog mate. You have a special relationship. Im Tom and will be moving to Chiang Mai from Adelaide, Australia by the end of the year. I'll come and pick up the mushrooms thanks mate!! 😜
Hahahaha. 'Master Chef'...😂😇. The tin is too thin, need to put tiles around the tin. Still it's a good try. Aussie, here. 👍❤️😇
Been watching a few of your videos of late and really enjoy the content. I live in Chiang Rai, however my wife is from Sisaket and when we visit her family there, it's very similar to your life in Burial. I have been in Thailand now for 13 going on 14 years, b ut my thai is no where near as good as yours. Well done and good to see all you are doing. Harry
She always has a smile on her face ❤️
I'm from France and I really enjoy your videos. You're doing more than a true good job ! Thank you
That was the coolest thing I've ever watched. Thanks you for sharing. Australia

Learn something new every day.
Good Video, dude in the hat :)
Love the videos! From England ❤
My Jai would make sure we did not do our morning exercise, so she brought bbq chicken with sticky rice every morning @ 6 o clock :-)
Hi Damo & Ryan, I'm Robert from Belfast Northern Ireland. My home is now in iBuriram but still work away.
in australia is called beer can chicken its great
G'day Ryan from Ratchaburi...we bought a cast iron camp oven through Lazada, works great on chickens. Cheers.
Looks delicious 😋 love the videos. You have a beautiful family and life, from the UK ❤
Gotta love the “if it tastes good, put it in the recipe” attitude 😅👍👍👍
Often the best meals come from these times, the problem is…..it’s hard to repeat 🥺😉😂
I'm a big fan and have been watching you guys for years! I watched when we were living in China and while living in New Zealand. Am about to move to Malaysia and will continue watching there. Rob from NZ.
haha ive tried this out with a beer can with less success on coals. keep it up guys. sending love from sydney, australia.
I would like to see y’all try it again, but next time only use salt on the outside. I’m pretty sure the burning look came from whatever sugar is in the sauce and the pepper.
Love y’all’s videos!😎
Hi Ryan and damo, at first I was like Ryan is right, that's not gonna be fully cooked but that was surprisingly properly cooked. I've been your subscriber from the time Otis was very small. Following you from Delhi, India. Cheers ❤
So funny doggie licking chickens lol❤ loved the video
Chicken looks yummy guys…..and the building looks like it’s coming together well! We cannot wait to see the results 😊 Thank you for sharing this video:)
Now that was one of the funniest videos you've done so far - hilarious. Damo has a very naughty side lol! The interaction between you two is so funny when you're cooking, Can't wait for another cooking episode!
Glad you liked it my friend 😁
Beer can/bottle chicken is the best. You can try tinfoil (aluminum) on the chicken to help keep the skin from getting a char.
Spot on about the 7/11 toastie 🥪😂😂
lol
Ryan, this was a really fun video, thank you
agreed, its cool how these kinds of projects involve the different family, friends, and townsfolk...

Fun episode 🎉
Just subscribed. Love the content. Best wishes from Penarth, Wales.
Great video guys would love to try and cook a chicken like that in my backyard but I think the Fire Brigade would be knocking on the door asking "Do you have a permit for that fire?" 😜 Take care guys. Gavin from Sydney Australia.
Wow brilliant, first time I've seen this done and I want to try it now. And for your competition Duncan here from the UK but living the dream rural farm life in Maha Sarakham Thailand :-)
Great job and I was thinking the same thing too Ryan that it wouldn’t be possible to cook it like that, but amazing work nonetheless, keep up the great content guys, from the Uk but will soon be back in Thailand, so from the Uk but moving to paradise soon. Big love to you all ❤
