I did not expect the guy on the left to sound like that
You guys always amaze me with your testing methods. Really well done.
this is what i was waiting for good job
Awesome video! Wish you guys included the battle beaver but other than that this is exactly what I was looking for!
Nice and complete video,congratulations!
measuring when the sticks move by physical distance is a cool idea, but if you tried the same stick on a different axis you'd get different results and testing one axis on one controller from each type is kinda moot
Really cool video thanks for the info
DO NOT BUY A SCUFF CONTROLLER
After just one month of owning a Scuff FPS controller for PS5 (420 Canadian dollars tax and shipping included), I had to send it back for in-waranty repair. Hair triggers were squeaky! It took another month to come back to me!
7 months later, L2 button (aim down the sight for Call of Duty and most fps games) fails, no click sound and no response.
The warranty on a controller that costs almost the same as the playstation itself is only 6 months and at this point I don't trust this vendor and neither should you!
appreciate the honesty. I’m about to try the extremerate kit soon
Man amazing video I've never seen anyone do this. This is absolutely amazing ty for your work
We're glad you enjoyed it. We were curious ourselves so we wanted to really see if any had advantages over the others. Thanks for watching and we appreciate your support.
Awesome video! Did you also did a test with the DualSense Edge, adjusting the trigger distance to the lowest?
Yes the trigger distance for the edge was set to the shortest distance for all these tests. We felt that was most fair. We tried a test for our own curiosity with it in the longest distance and it performed basically the same as a standard ps5 controller.
You can probably test minimum and maximum rotational speed the potentiometers are set to by setting the in game sensitivity the same for every controller pulling the stick to the minimum distance for you to start moving rotating 360° getting you the minimum controller sensitivity and doing the same for the outer range of the stick to get you the maximum sensitivity. I'd assume the controllers that use potentiometers manufactured out of the same facility should have very similiar results depending on how much the outer case impedes the distance you can push the stick. Minimum sensitivity will be easier to test of course because you don't have to account for the time moving between inner potentiometer boundary to outer boundary.
That's not a bad idea to test to see the results. Would be interesting to see the results
Wow, amazed the OG controller was so sluggish in comparison!
Hey guys, great video i just have one question about the bumper reaction/travel on classic dualsense vs. Dualsense edge. The edge push feels a little faster to me. You got any info on that? Thank you
On these tests did you play with the controller wired as the factor of input delay could of affected your results. Also can you do a test using razers offering in the pro controller market for PlayStation
Seeing how the Razer Pro Wolverine V2 compares would be cool too
Nice comparison
Complete Controller TV! Perfect analysis.
I would love to see these test's on the Amazon Luna controller.
I originally bought the controller to stream games to my phone, and decided to test it with my PC.
I ended up pleasantly surprised and really enjoying how the controller feels in the hand and the engagement/sensitivity of the joysticks.
It's currently my favorite controller and has replaced both my Xbox Elite series 1 and 2.
I've been planning on buying a Dualsense edge because I prefer the Ps5 controller shape over the Xbox, so we'll see if it hangs up my Luna.
Interesting! I have not tried the Luna controller but it looks cool.
Comfort is a big factor as well. I have the scuf fps which is an amazing controller but it gives me thumb pain over time due to having large hands. I am highly considering the victrix pro bfg just because it is like my elite series 2 controller and I have no pain when I use it.
Same. Struggling to find an xbox style controller for my ps
@@KayUTariqI purchased the victrix pro bfg and it is very comfortable. The triggers are a bit sensitive though and sometimes I find the slightest touch can set them off.
@@smellycatgaming4987 ah im more worried about the back paddles. I dont like accidentally pressing them
@@KayUTariqThe back paddles aren't sensitive like the triggers. They take a bit of a press to actuate. You can adjust the trigger pull sensitivity to match your tastes.
@@smellycatgaming4987 oiii. Starting to sound pretty good 👍🏼 I appreciate the info. Thanks
Did you adjust the trigger on the edge? Trigger response could be faster if it’s on the lowest setting.
Yes, it's set to its fastest response setting.
Did you guys have the edge on any particular mechanical setting? I.e. the trigger can be set 1,2,3 did you leave it with full range of motion or did you set it to least travel for trigger test?
We set it to the least travel for this to make sure it was performing at its best for this test.
The most important thing you guys missed out, how long do they last? I’ve had 3 scufs arrive faulty with multiple issues. Massive factor when buying controllers 😁
Maybe a year from now we could do an update to see if that is a factor for any of these. At the time of testing these were all brand new controllers (with the exception of the standard ps5 controller) so there’s was really now way to know which would last longest. Just based on feel alone, both the Edge and Victrix feel like tanks so my bet would be that they out last any of the others.
ii can agree half way i just bought my first scuff controller it works fine as is & on regular settings but i like to play on 0.00 deadzone & right analog has stick drift im in the process of of waiting for there reply as we speak salty i gotta send it back i need NO stick drift out the gate! like they forgot who they base of customers is
Which one of these passes the “won’t fucking break in 2 weeks” test?
Excellent job would love to see this vs the new aim controllers!
Thank you and we appreciate the recommendation. Any other controllers you would like to see in the next video?
Here is a question, any chance you guys have the measurements of the analog and triggers for Xbox elite series 2 controller? And possibly the core version?
We’ve talked about doing an Xbox controller comparison for awhile now. Just been super busy with jobs and life lately so hopefully we can do that video soon.
@@CompleteGeekTVHello guys, did you also set the trigger deadzone in game to 0-1?
@@JoriNieer yeah everything was set to their lowest/ most responsive values. By default the Dualsense edge is set to 0
@@CompleteGeekTV By default its Set 0-100, if you set it in game to 0-1 its faster
Hi guys... Can you make a video review of the Battle Beaver pad?
We are highly considering doing it. This video hasn't picked up as fast as we would have liked, but we also do this to help and for our own curiosity, so we most likely will be doing a follow-up one with it. Thanks for watching.
extreme rate clicky mouse triggers are extremely good !
We agree! We are very impressed with them and haven't had issues with any of their products so far.
Technique by Ernesto Hoost, dutch legend kickboxer. Makes sense since Alex knows it since he trained in the netherlands.
The DualSense Edge wins automatically by having a much lower input lag. Up to 1000hz polling rate on PC.
keep going im actually interested
Thanks for watching. Any other controllers you would like to see?
I love my scuf fps, and I like my dualsense edge, but I really wanna customize my regular stock control I’m just scared Imma mess it up
I added the extremerate 4 back buttons and mouse triggers
Would you say you prefer the dualsense edge or the scuf fps controller?
@@xoLegacyClan for fps games I would say the scuf fps controller cuz the mouse click triggers. If you play racing games or want to keep adaptive trigger the the dualsense edge, or you can get the regular reflex or reflex pro scuff but you would lose the mouse triggers
@@xoLegacyClan I use my custom controller tho it feels better playing with something Ik I did myself
I loved my scuf for the 11 months that it lasted… now I have to buy another 250$ controller. Scuf support is ass.
For the trigger test what was the input range in the custom profile for the edge 0-100 or 0-1
We left everything in their default configuration out of the box. I’m not sure the exact number but it was whatever it is immediately from buying it
@@CompleteGeekTV thats not a fair test at all then cause you can change the trigger sensitivity with the app on ps5
@@KevsOutside just tested the trigger sensitive mode in the app with the Edge and it actually just gives you ranges for trigger dead zones. By default it is in the fastest mode by responding at 0-100 even changing the response from 0-1 had no effect on how fast the trigger responded mechanically and how far it had to move before something was registered. This test was to verify how quickly the physical components of the controllers responded on screen and adjust trigger deadzone wouldn’t change that since by default it is already at its fastest. We actually spent weeks test verify any variables to make sure we didn’t miss anything that could skew the results. We also ran the tests multiple times to verify that nothing was left to chance and the result were always the same or sighing .01 milliseconds of each other. So I believe the test still stands. I’m guessing you have an edge? Many people don’t like when the controller they have doesn’t win, but I would take any part of this video to say the controller is bad by any means! In fact even after this video the Edge is still the main controller I do all my gaming with. If you watched till the end you’ll see that despite their mechanical speed differences I WAY more accurate with Edge in the real world aiming and quick shot test. Also if you watch the quick shot test at 7:25 in the video you’ll see that the Edge won that test as well for real world trigger speed.
Will using the edge on pc with dsx affect any of these results?
I have a scuf fps and a dual sense edge and my k/d is the same lol perfect controller for me would be the edge with the scuf triggers and grips and still be able to swap sticks.
In your honest opinion which would you recommend scuf or edge ?
@@dilrajkhangura4335 to me the edge feels better and more premium as well it has the bigger upside because you can change the sticks. The scuf is basically a stock controller with paddles and mouse click triggers. You can feel the difference in weight and quality in the edge over the scuf. I would recommend the edge over the scuf all day only down side to the edge is 2 back buttons but I never use more then 2 so that doesn’t effect me.
I’d like to see a comparison to battle beaver and evil controllers
How far do you have to pull the trigger if you adjust them on the edge?
Depends
Yes adjust the trigger sensitivity and yiu shoot faster .
Exactly. You can adjust the edge trigger pull.
Not far might have to adjust max on some games but can be easily done on the integrated software on the ps5.
Can you do the razor wolverine v2 please?? I need to know as well
Thank you, comment, and we will definitely consider doing it. It's something we would like to see as well.
Edge controler in COD with dead zone triggers in 0 is more fast the 1.70mm
i would like to see a test for the wireless elite xbox one controller 2, because thats the one i am using 😂
We have talked about doing an Xbox test soon as well. We just know the Edge is still a hot topic on CZcams since it was recently released and figured we’d do that first. Adam also has the Elite 2 and I have heard him on occasion claim it’s one of the best controllers he’s ever felt.
@@CompleteGeekTV 100% using the elite 2 for years now, honestly the best one ive ever had, i literally feel the quality in your hands. looking forward to the video for the edge 👏
Just got vectrix and its amazing.finally can have my Xbox setup on ps5
We are pretty big fans! We hope you enjoy it and thanks for watching
Good video
Can you test the gamenetics contoller
The Edge all day!
Do wolverine pro v2 vs scuf refliex
Dualsense Edge or Victrix for only FPS, Warzone and Call of duty?
Dualsense price 219€ and Victrix 144€
That's pretty hard. We love both controllers for different reasons. I would probably vote Victrix if it wasn't for the accidental trigger presses I do with it. The triggers are very light and sensitive. I still enjoy using it but that is something that I wanted to mention as that might be a red flag for you or you might like that. All preference. We hope that helps.
pls do part 2
But a sample size of 3 has way too much room for variable factors
We tested a lot more than 3. We wanted to be careful to not make the video longer than it needed to be.
AIM CONTROLLER IS THE BEST
Wish you put Battle Beaver in the fold
THe target test was inaccurate you got better through repetition
Will never buy a scuf ever again tried them back on ps3 and again on ps4 between the 2 controllers spent over 600 dollars on the two and when both in their times developed stick drift quick 3 months on the ps3 controller and about 4 months on the ps4.. The customer service was terrible and will tell people to avoid them as they are impossible to deal with
That's unfortunate to hear and sorry for your experience. Thank you for your comment, and we appreciate you watching.
Aimcontroller with HALL sticks missing here.
The first test made no sense because you can adjust the dead one for the sticks in the settings
While yes you can change some deadzone and sensitivity settings for most of these controllers, for this test we had all controllers at the same settings. In theory this means that they SHOULD respond the same based on their internal software. With all setting equal, doing the test like this allowed us to see when each controller respond mechanically since there is still a threshold of movement that needs to take place before the PlayStation system starts to show movement on the screen.
Also the point of this video is strongly geared to those gamers who don’t want to to nitpick every setting of their controllers but simply want to know which will give them an advance right out of the box.
Thanks for the comment and interest in the video!
Go kick rocks debbie downer
Science means u do NOT mess with settings...you should only have 1 variable. Messing with settings introduces variables.
What setting did you have the edge trigger on? 1,2,3 did you leave it full range of motion?
@@iParacordi noticed that too, it looks like the full motion
Razer please
DO HYPR CONTRoller
Please pick up an aim controller
Thank you for your comment, Shawn, and we will definitely consider it depending on how the video performs overall. We appreciate you watching.
SCUF will break faster
🔥🔥🔥🔥
200 dollars for a controller Is NON VIABLE and this is purly down to the economy and resorce market not being accessable to smaller independants like say somewhere like china where they don't have the CREATIVITY but they have access to cheep resorces and industry
it's pretty backward at the moment because back in the 90s the PSX era you had INSAIN amount of 3rd partys making controllers in all shapes and sizes including HOTAS looking sticks and a ton of diffrent Light guns gcon compatable even arcade perfect recoil guns I owned one recoil and a small ppk looking one in silver As well as the offical Gcon 45 lets not forget the gimic DDR mats and had a few experemental controllers for handicapped players. had a controller you litterally strap to your arm and had an axis point at the wrist
but after 2001 the dip in the economy globally all cos 1997 a lot of countires went in to this move to globalism and green hoaxs like becoming phobic of industry to save the inviroment while volcanos spew more carbon dioxide in one erruption than 15 cities could produce in a year
Take your meds
This is amazing
Thanks my useless information bag is full now.
The only useless thing about this video is your comment
No aim controller
