I’ve stopped performing about 9 months ago and the other day I saw one of Alex’s videos pop up. I just decided that I need to get back into it and today and yesterday, I watched all the videos that I’ve missed for the pass 9 months and I completely forgot how great of a teacher and magician Alex is. I would first control a free selection to the top. I would then tell the spectator to think of their card and "throw" the thought to me. As they do this, I would produce the card. Just a fun way to play with productions 😊 Love your content man 🔥🔥🔥

I’m pretty sure we all have routines where we produce 4 of a kind, each one in a different way. It can be used in a phase of that effect. It can be used in ambitious card as a phase, it can be used as the reproduction of the tenkai to backpalm vanish if you feel like changing it up from the production in the prayer position. Thinking divergently, when done one handed it can be pure misdirection for a massive ending, some cleanup, some setup, just dirty work. Produce the wrong card and use that plot line of I messed up, but I’m live and in person so I have to be able to fix this. That’s a ton of time for the left to be doing whatever you want unchecked. Can also be a cover misdirect for something bigger and better. It’s a very versatile production. I’ve always loved it and you teach it and perform it perfectly Alex👌🏻

Personally i’ll work on a routine you taught on a boat sometime ago.... replacing what to me is a gambler’s cup at the end with a classic palm and this production would end it well i think!

great video, I would use this production in a normal short card trick, by them picking a card and then put it back in the middle of the deck, then I control there card back at the top and do the production with a card that was not there card and get it wrong, then I would do a color change and change it into there card.

Well for me I'd totally use this as a starter trick to start performing a routine. Usually when I'm meeting new people they ask what I like to do and Id say I dable in magic and BOOM a card appears outa thin air.

I can see palming a card when you get three instead of two cards
on a push-off. It's a fix. Understand, i'm a hack at this point so
I need an escape from this embarrassing situation - for now..

Actually before taking the the deck of cards we can just say "ok i am gonna show u a magic performance with cards" while u already hve the card in ur palm when u say "with cards" u produce the card and say "not only with 1 card" then we can take the deck from the pocket or we can just vanish that card and while taking the others cards from the pocket we can leave it in the pocket or take it by keeping it behind the cover and by not showing it we can take it while removing the deck of cards from the cover.

I have been having trouble with the angles for this and some similar palms when dealing with people of different heights. Any advice?
I can certainly sympathise with the difficulty in getting the right angles when it comes to palms, but when it comes to the classic palm, it's quite straightforward. Are you sure you aren't flashing through your fingers?
In any case, I think the best way to practice angles when it comes to palms is to first use a mirror, so that you can get a basic idea of what the right angles are, and then have a friend so that you can check the angles on a real person.
Quick warning, though: make the switch from mirror to real person fairly quickly, because an over-reliance on mirrors can make you used to an artificial environment where everybody is twice as far as they seem to be, and nobody moves but you. Also, since mirrors have no playback, you'll get used to watching your hands through the mirror while you're practising the sleight, so you might find it jarring when you're performing live, since you suddenly won't be able to look at your hand movements as you are performing.

Hey Alex, my question is kinda off topic of your great todays video but how do you keep your cards clean? I mean all of you people here - How do keep them clean? Is it just me with dirty cards? :(
I try to wash and thoroughly dry my hands before I use any of my card decks. Seems to work. I also try to avoid doing tricks on dirty surfaces, which isn’t always avoidable but it helps.
As an enthusiast, not a performer, I use appearing and vanishing cards as jokes. I do it with my poker buddies and tease them about how they cheat. I pluck the cards (ace duplicates) to show them I caught them. Lol.
That will be cool if i do it with 1 card in both hands.
First i can show them the wrong card that i just plucked out of air then again i'll do it but this time it'll be their card
