The flooding has been heartbreaking. It doesn't seem like it's done yet, either.

Bookshelf looks wonderful. Very child friendly as it should be for you! I symphatized with you about the delivery boxes, I wont bring them in the house anymore. They get opened up in the garage or outside of the entry door.
Love that you do your bed every day with pillows and blankets ...makes your bedroom look very pretty Crystal..i do the same ❤....i wish people would not be so judgmental ...nothing wrong with it .....each to there own..you dont have to put negative comments on..think them in your head ...not outload.....she works so hard to make these videos..

I have to give you credit for doing the bed every morning with all the pillows.
I was very lucky when my kids were young. Since I was a teacher I was off summers. My husband was also a teacher so when my kids were old enough he worked at a day camp and my kids went for free. Eery morning at 8:30 I said goodbye to all of them and had the house to myself until 4:30 for 8 weeks. My kids loved camp.

Nice DITL video ... library was a great idea for everyone!!! All in one area and leaves space in your rooms ... could be a "quiet time" area!!! I can see the kids and Charlie sitting on the floor reading. Cozy corner!!! ❤😊
LOVE that library area!! 😍 I wasn’t sure about the lighter wood wall section as well, until you got the area decorated….it looks amazing! It just gives the area visual interest!!! Beautiful!!!
Library, I love it. It's so important to have a place for books.
I owned & ran a daycare center for a while. I decided to color code the books with different colored dot stickers for the kids that weren't perfect at reading. That was a job & the dots sometimes came off. It wasn't a perfect system. It's probably more effective for me than them. So, putting them away was a little easier.
At top enrollment, we had 55 children. Small rural town it was a busy place. Kids from months old to 12. I ran it like a home, not dividing them out. Until nap time. Then the older children went upstairs or outside. Depending on the weather. 7 yrs. Greatest job I ever had, except raising my own. I miss kids every day. I have grandkids, but they are older. Didn't start the daycare until mine were raised. Silly woman I am. But kids keep you moving that's for sure.
Beautiful bookcase - love it! What fun to curl up with a good book, a cup of coffee and a soft blanket on that bench!

I love that Ethan loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My son Matthew loved those books. When he graduated from college and got married, I asked him if he wanted me to donate them to a teacher friend of mine so she could use them in her classroom. His answer was “NO WAY, I’m keeping those”. He is 25 yrs old now.
My sons read those books. We ended up donating them to their elementary school library.
So funny I donated my sons and we have been slowly buying them all back for him, he is 26 lol
I love Crystal’s vídeos. The only thing i don’t get is some people that come and comment, seems like they not enjoying it , so why bother watching and have the trouble to comment ? Jezzz some people really enjoy being trolls

I absolutely love how the library wall came out. Those book "games" are so neat.
To make your bookshelves look custom, purchase some hole plugs to pop into the open holes where the adjustable pegs go. You can get colors to match. We did it on our Ikea shelves and it makes a big difference!

I love the polka-dot sheets & coverlet. Nice way to add a smidge of color without overwhelming space. For your shelving unit...you could get an acrylic book holder and open a book to display it. Great video. Thank you!

Your library area looks great. What a nice reading nook. I agree a nice cushion and some pillows on that bench is in order. It'll make it so much cozier and more comfortable. You will appreciate the adjustable shelves. I have them in my kitchen cabinets and love them. Everything is coming together for you. I like the wall behind the bench part of your cabinetry. It adds contrast. Later on though you can paint it if you desire. Isn't amazing how many books you acquire and don't even know it until you put them out on shelves.

The weather here in the midwest has been unreal with all the rain and flooding.Last Sat.a 130 year old church was destroyed by a tornado.Wish we could send some of the rain to states that need it.The library is so cozy and came out perfect.Bye

Love the new library nook! At first (like cabinets & closets in a new home) you wonder how you'll ever fill it. I was going to suggest thrift or Dollar Tree books to temporarily fill it, but looks like you won't have that problem. 📚

I know it isn't always easy to juggle doing those things for yourself. It takes commitment! I've trained and taught fitness for over 50 years...I can't even believe it's been that long. I love your book shelves. I had bookshelves at my condo and now I realize how much I miss them! Gonna have to figure out a good place to build some. PS my son is published author of 3 books (Political Thrillers) now sure where he got his talent!) I was the librarian…aka a collector of books!

Thank you!! I'm the same way about watching others lives.. HA! I can share more on my workouts, but I take 2 arms/shoulders strength classes a week (usually 20-30 min) through Peloton. We use dumbbells and I do what they tell me to do. I've upped my protein intake as well - which I think is helping!

Very handsome book shelving Tara👍 I don't know if you have seen the movie fatal attraction, but there's a wall hanging in that movie that's in there living room hanging up over the two high back chair's. Of a mother reading to her daughter seated on the floor listening to her mom read to her I think it's adorable ❤❤❤ that wall hanging would look great in the middle of your book shelf.

They are both Peloton - love them so much! I believe the instructors/trainers are what has kept me into a routine. They are amazing.

Ok, this is one woman's opinion that does not live in your house to actually see for myself, but I feel like the hood vent wreath gets lost in the black of the hood vent. 🤷
I kind of like it being "lost". It's not so busy, but still gives a bit of a "pop" as you are in the kitchen.
♡Don't forget the most important book of all...The bible...The very word of God. Reading the Psalms is a balm to the heart and soul. Who doesn't need that in these last days?♡
