polar express is based on real locomotive the 1225 builted in 1941 built by lima locomotive works

It wasn't built in 1941, it was built in 1929 by ALCO. It ran until 1964 until it got stored at a museum until 2009 when the Virginia Railroad Museum decided to run holiday excursions with it.
