0:31 those are the sickest quarter notes I've seen in a chart

In my mind I was like "the clap ain't clapping the gallops right" till I noticed this. It's so good.
I haven't played DDR in a long time (Since SN2). It's so nostalgic to hear Paranoia samples in this song.
What i really like about this chart is how they utilizing the gimmicks. The expert chart has obvious visual when the gimmicks will occur from the shift change of 4th notes (red) into 8th (blue) per each stop.
The CSP mask all of those by putting freeze arrows around it since there are no color coordinates on them to confuse new players who haven’t memorized the chart.

to be honest, separating the stops with freeze arrows is way easier to read than with red / blue arrows
Theoretically though, the way they organized the freeze arrows allows you to segment each part into it's own rhythmic section, so it still sorta hints at you where the stops are.
man this looks like a fun 18 to go for. gimmicks spice up this chart so well
Something I observed about the sudden+ mechanic in the chart, and it's that the sudden+ applies to an entire note. Meaning that an entire freeze arrow seems to be revealed once it is supposed to show up, instead of the usual sudden+ revealing only what's supposed to appear x seconds before the step zone.
thats because its not sudden+ its normal sudden from the older games
I like how Konami does the opposite of Over the Period. Here, they release Challenge first then the easier charts. Over the period has Difficult first then Beginner was the first full chart released and worked its way up to Challenge
& unlike OTP, they eased the difficulty of the requirements to pass Hou more quickly and still released normal songs on the side rather than using the grinding nature of the challenge to dripfeed players content

I'm gonna get flamed for this but I think hou has the lowest gap between passing the 18 and 19. The 19 really helps you out by having freeze arrows everywhere for gauge recovery and it has real breaks that pretty much no other 19 has
hou was only difficult because of the flare ex.
I cleared in my first try with normal gauge, so yes. you are right

I feel sometimes the music for 18's and 19's has lost consistency with what used to have. Take pluto relinquished a an example, u can feel the rhytmn but with each new installment sometimes u dont really catch any rhythmn at all, just random beats.

Disagree with this song in particular. But yeay several songs like Lacry and Valkie’s charting can be quite overboard
You can hear every single rhythm in this chart. Hell you even get absolute genius gimmicks at 0:31 and 1:00.
