Raptor 250 Motor Cleaning NAPA Aluminum Brightener

Disclaimer!!! this will clean the motor but can strip the zinc coating off of hardware. This is something I found out later. Updated 4/2023
This product is absolutely amazing. Aluminum brightener from Napa has changed my cleaning effort dramatically. Check out the video and let me know what you think.

Be mindful. It will strip your zinc coating off of your bolts. So, it’s best if you use it on removed parts.

It works great. Better if you have your cases off though. It will strip the Zinc coating off of your bolts and make them prone to rust.

Wow, that stuff did a great job! Did it affect the paint on the frame or anywhere since it seems like it’s an acid

Anything zinc or nickel coated gets the finish dissolved. Look at the heads of all the bolts, the motor mounts, springs and brake and shifter levers. They look acid etched afterword's.

Does it stay that dull color? Does it stain easier on the next ride?

I wouldn’t say that it stained up any different than before. It definitely has a clean grey look. But does not look like a new motor if that’s what you mean.

Need to water it down and if you get it on anything like the steel bolts... They are toast. They will rust. This stuff will ruin a good motorcycle if you get crazy like this guy.

It rust stuff out real!!!!! Bad be careful when you use it and what you use it on! And where you use it if you have pets!!!!!

Not sure about the pet part but I can imagine. Works great on aluminum but steel is exposed for sure.

I am not sure. There is staining for sure. Not sure if the staining it precleaner or post cleaner.
