  • I don't even know why I bother with doing this video lol, the video is by far the longest one I made.
I normally don't do those kinds of video where I show myself taking fans apart and do a full cleaning. But this fan has the same procedure like the standard Originals. Removing the switch cap, wiring harness, switch housing, bearing, rotor, windings. But the 2nd Century Original has a different procedure of disassembly like removing the decorative cap before removing switch cap, faceplate (where 4 screws go up from the top of the motor housing and down to the faceplate), and where the capacitor is attached using a 1/4 hex screw. The new capacitor had to be tied down by a zip tie since the capacitor I used didn't have enough room for where the original capacitor placement would be, meaning that the 1/4 hex screw where the original capacitor would've been had to be abandoned. Plus, the original 8uf capacitor not only had some wear like the broken tab and a tiny slit inside the capacitor, but also was drifting.
Replacement 8uf capacitor for 2.0 amp Originals (use zip ties to relocate the new capacitor to a different position): www.ebay.com/i...
