Such Great video, exactly the information I’ve been looking for, I’m wanting to find similar products or alternatives to the Hanskin, curious to see if I’ll love something else as much.
The hanskin HA essence hooked me good, its no fuss and works really well with other products, without being sticky or taking forever to absorb. I also use it on my arms before lotion after I get out of the shower, which I can’t do with most HA products.
I’ve used the cosrx in the jar, it’s slippy and gloopy and just lovely …especially in the winter.

Lol I am curious about that one too. My skin seems to do best when I stick with a couple actives and do light layers of hydration with essence and serums. I have mature, dry normal skin and rosacea and I love Korean toners and essences. I don’t necessarily follow the seven step method, but I often layer products based on how my skin feels. • @masonjeq4261
    @masonjeq4261 Před 2 lety

I find its hard for me to gauge hydration perhaps because my skin isn't truly dehydrated. Most of the products you mentioned don't give me the feeling of hydration except Cosrx and Skinfood. I suppose my skin feels softer, and plumper (which I associate with hydration) when I use a product like I'm From Rice Toner vs. the straight up hyaluronic acids essences that rarely do much for me. First essences make my skin feel wet, and the PKY is ok but doesn't feel as though it absorbs as well (kind of like being super thirsty and drinking a glass of water that doesn't satisfy the thirst the same way as something with electrolytes). I always notice a tangible difference in skin health/hydration if I don't use a hydrating toner so I know it adds value, but its mostly doing background work and doesn't feel immediately satisfying vs. skin barrier products and even hydrating leave on masks. I guess I feel I need something with a bit more body that touches on moisture as well to feel the results of the hydration.
My favorite hydrating toners so far though have been the Keel Cool Bamboo toner (though that brand annoyed me with CS and I no longer buy them), HaruHaru toner, and the make p:rem - Safe Me. Relief Essence Toner.

Alice! Hi! Loved this video! Cosrx snail essence used to be my HG but since the watered down reformulation I’ve decided to sadly move on ☹ but I love the Pyunkang yul toner essence! It just takes forever to finish a bottle. I bought the 6.8oz last year for $12 next time will buy the 3.4 😂 and I have no idea when this stuff actually expires because I don’t keep boxes. The hanskin essence look nice but due to my algae problem cannot buy Seems like that’s a common thread in their ingredient list which is a bummer.

Ooh tough question. But I’d say to start simply as that is key - you can build and adjust from there!
So: AM: focus on vitamin c and sunscreen. My top rec for fellow acne prone skin is the bubble daydream serum for vitamin C, and I personally prefer K-Beauty sunscreens!
PM: focus on cleansing, calming and alternate evenings with a retinoid. My top picks: cerave acne foaming cream cleanser, alternate that cleanser with La roche posay adapalene gel.
Everything else should be calming-focused. Calming moisturizer, calming cleanser. Beauty of Joseon is a great brand for affordable calming products to round out a routine.

Did u see the new redition of the primers lotus essence I saw it on yesstlye yesterday and they had the new ingredient next to the old ingredient list, wonder how good it is. Do I need the skinfood propolis honey essence it's been on my list for awhile now. Have u tried the PSA pancera serum it's really nice and hydrating I really am liking it I also got the Benton green tea toner and started using it and I'm really liking that too so far I have not used it long enough to tell my full thought but I am liking it and it's cheap I think I paid 11$ for it and it's different then the issi tree green tea toner feel texture all I think it's more for a dry ance prone skin type . Have u done a Benton trial yet ? I can't remember but theirs a few things I want to try out. How is the bubble serum going any updates I need to purchase that Walmart right ? I wish I looked when I was their 2 days ago I ment to look for that and the new elf halo glow CT dupe and some tea lights and oil forgot them all my phone broke so I needed a new one asap so went their and everything I wanted to look for went out of my brain. Have u heard of the ENS essence and serum I really want that I have been eyeing it for a year heard amazing things and they redid the serum funny part is it looks like the essence like a bottle just a different off white color .have u tried the new BOJ retinal grinding on ur face yet not just under ur eyes ? Wondering how good it would be like that sense it's a good price.
Added I really like the PC omgea serum as a last serum to seal in the hydrating steps I know it's more moisturizing but I have had good results with that and also the Pacific Vega cerimide line as a look in to the hydrating steps . I wish HA would fly the coop I am really over it their is so much more that could be used catus beta glucan milk root like so many others then HA , I remember hunting specific HA serums now it's in everything kinda like niacinamide like u don't need to hunt for sperate serums for that cause 98% of the time I bet it's in the product already, I rember loving the la Roche posay thermal spring water ha serum the and others that were 2 times the amount now I want good ingredient added to the HA if I have to have it. I just finished like almost 3 months on my sk11 and I can't believe the results I can't even believe I'm hooked I need to catch it on sale I used it night and day and the mini bottle last a good time I still have one I cracked open today. Dr c sk11 rnw cerimide serum dear klair oil drop serum PC omgea serum PSA pancera serum ordinary argeline purito unscented are like in my tops right now I do like the manyo bifida mist alot I think it's worth a try and it looks nice under makeup too, I have a list of other some actives I try to lay off so many actives and build and repair health and stretch but with a few added bha sometimes lactic madellic or something I am intrigued with LHA and I wish I could use L asboric it sucks it's so hard for me but ever since the great damage of kora skincare my skin hasn't been the same .

      😱😱😱😱😱😱 OMGGGG
ok I’m on the YesStyle website, but I don’t see the ingredients list comparison? OMG I hope they listened to feedback and made it…just back into the old product? The classic that we miss so much 😢
Ah gosh honestly the Skinfood is really good. In terms of comparisons…imagine taking the cosrx propolis toner and the farmacy honey halo, smooshing those two into one product, and making it a fast absorbing and elegant essence/serum.

I haven’t tried too much from Benton, and I do feel I need to explore more of their products!
Reading your favs made me think of how fun it would be to do a: “trying subscriber favorites” first impression. Ahhh that would be so fun. For your product, it’s gonna be the RNW 🤣 (I literally swear I will try it!!!)

@@AliceintheRabbitHole LOL yes so fun, lol e me some rnw lol. I just got the bumble serum in the yellow box when I went to Walmart tonight and a neutagena sensitive serum light foundation heard it was really nice comfy if u like lighter coverage Rudy Berry rec that the newer elf brighter concealer she said it was a YSL touche eclat concealer dupe only they didn't have it or the new Halo glow filter I was looking for they said they had but didn't . It was so weird Walmart had products on like nothing their . Their was a few things I was looking for I didn't find. Their stock sucked I got into a fight with a rude worker it was a day let me tell u. I couldn't even find tea light candles the most random thing u could always find everywhere for cheap not one it's so annoying to go somewhere and not find what ur looking for. I think I'm gonna go to Ulta and target tommrow maybe Sephora it's all across the street in 2 plazas Kohl's / Sephora Ross then Ulta target and marshals across the street. I need some retail therapy the stress is over the top lately . I can't wait to try this new bubble serum they had alot of product from them versed and a few other fortifie but I didn't know what else to get but I was very intrigued by the bubble serum if it's good and the ingredient list looks amazing I can't believe it's from Walmart.

I haven't tried anything from Benton but I'm pleased so far with the green tea serum and some of their things seem to be cult classics and alot of people's interdiction to K beauty but it wasn't mine. I think purito unscented centella Dr c kombucha essence rnw cerimide plus and rnw micellar cleansing water can make mermaid SPF and a few others I tried first o cosrx of course that was the very first the snail essence.

Realizing that my skin type is oily and dehydrated was a game changer!
And how many years did I waste trying to control my oily face with drying products?!? Augh!

I believe it!! It’s a very different perspective from what I grew up with, but I’m so glad we are making leaps and bounds in understanding skin!

I did the same thing for literally 20 years! Hydrating my face instead of drying it has actually cleared up the acne I had. I think because I was drying my face out, it caused my skin to overproduce oils to try to combat the dryness. At least I figured it out at 31 lol 😂

Can you recommend a very moisturizing and hydrating moisturizer? Thanks... ugh my skin is so freaking dry!!!😢

Tbh I genuinely think I get the best results from a hydrating toner or essence in conjunction with a moisturizer (and sometimes the combo can be less expensive than an all-in-one cream). But I will say there are some combos that are quite well done. I’ll actually throw it back to an old favorite in the farmacy honey halo!
