Iâm a saver all the time, sis â€
Can you pleaseeee explain if we need sunscreen in winter and what strength???â€
Cassandra Bankson. I don't think ANY other skinfluencer gives reviews like cassandra. She is the only one that goes into the ingredients list in such depth and although she isn't a doctor, she has alot of skin experience and I would absolutely trust her word above any other product review. She is the ONLY review that will give me what I need !!! The full scoop. The background. The story. The product. The ingredients. Alternatives. And the final word. Queen B
Preach! Completely agree
Don't forget Dr. Dray. She is a Board Certified Dermatologist who gives great practical, no nonsense skincare advice. And she takes the viewers along on shopping trips to find affordable options. She also goes into the extensive ingredients list with explanations...
@@deeporter7369 very true and dr dray is fantastic. But she doesn't give us the scoop, the story of the brand, any gossip, and the acne perspective.
You're right. But love her shopping trips. Cassandra is awesome.
Gothamista is also up there on this list. She is my holy grail.
Cassandra I credit you for pulling me out of my horrible Postpartum depression. I sadly am also bipolar and it hit me so hard. Watching your videos motivated me to just get up and wash my face. Those 2 minutes at first saved me it made me give myself a few minutes for myself it made me start feeling like myself again it made me give myself love even when I didnât love myself which in turned made me love myself. I now take a lot longer lol and though Iâve been all over the place trying different things going against the rules itâs been amazing for me and I only did it because of watching your videos.
I hope you're doing better! đ
I had a similar experience. Iâm also bipolar, and I was suffering from long COVID, unhealthy weight gain (not all weight gain is bad), and lots of physical issues. I was in a lot of pain, and I was dissociating from my body and isolating. Getting into skincare pulled me back into my body. Itâ seems so small, but feeling better about my appearance, focusing on the sensorial experience of different products, and learning about skincare science was so helpful. Iâve been able to improve my acne and rosacea tremendously, as well as adopted a healthy sunscreen obsession (which considering I live in Arizona we do not talk about nearly enough). It also helped me feel more empowered about working with doctors on other issues. Iâve come so far in the last year, and it started with skincare. Skincare is all about small, consistent habits to effect large change, and itâs such a powerful metaphor for so many other things.
I wish you all the best, friend. Mental heath is SO hard. Itâs a journey, and Iâm glad you are finding healthy coping skills.
Cassandra, thank you for this channel and your work. Itâs really important what you are doing here.
I've been in that place and skincare-self care saved me in many ways. Keep up the amazing work you're doing for yourself. Know that recovering from episodes like this is a long journey and as long as you keep going, you'll get some stability soon :)
Hope you are feeling better
I hope youâre feeling better â€ïž Iâm not a mother but suffer similarly and a lot of life events just disrupt my mental peace in ways thatâs hard to imagine.
Cassandra! did you hear about Dr.Shireen Idriss's skincare line, Pillow Talk Derm Skincare? We need a review!
Cleanser - Save
Toner - Save, you don't really need it. The Ordinary, Boots ingredients and The Inkey List have good budget ones
Essence - Maybe splurge e.g. Jin Jung Sung
Serum - SPLURGE
Ever since watching your channel Iâve been researching the ingredients in products and taking my time choosing the right one for me rather than just searching âserum for __â and I must say my skins improved so much, thank you! Absolutely love your contentâ€
Hi Cassandra, I just wanted to thank you for all this skinformation đ I just built a routine for my mom from scratch under 100 bucks â€ïž I really hope it works for her
I just started using the Elta MD sunscreen for my face and I love it! It costs a bit more than what I would normally pay for a facial sunscreen, but it's totally worth it! It's fragrance free, absorbs quickly, doesn't clog my pores, and it doesn't sting.
I really love your channel. I was one of those people who believed that a higher price tag meant a better and more effective product. Now i have a routine that is effective and budget friendly. Also, my face has never been this clear and dewy. I live.
Cassandra, PLEASE make a skincare routine for people in their 40s who want to age gracefully (help minimise wrinkles) who has redness, hyperpigmentation, acne scars and still get pimple and blackhead, PRETTY PLEASE đ đ„°
Yes please!!! đ
This is some information that I learned from her videos that might help u
Apply that Sunscreen everyday as future u will thank u
Use retinoids as our body decreases the amount of retnoids after our 20s, so applying retnoids will help witb decreasing wrinkles
I also have acne and I use salacylic acid which helps to reduce it but becareful as salacylic acid will make your skin more sensitive to the sun so make sure u apply sunscreen
And what personaly helped me alot is using a cleanser everyday as it helped alot with my acne, hope this helps
I always love your honesty about these products. It's so refreshing.
the only skinfluencer i'm still following 2+ years into the pandemic!! thank you as always for your *priceless* advice
You must have liked my comment that I left yesterday on one of your recent videos about this very thing. Lol. I was telling you this is the reason why I watch you! I don't have much money to spend, so to have affordable options is very helpful!
I would just like to say thank you to you Cassandra for putting me onto the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner, it's honestly has become a staple in my am and pm routines. My hydration game has never been better. Your recommendations are always great, but this essence toner has been game changing. Xx
Please do a video on home skin machinesâ€ïž Love this video, so much great info!
Okay this is exactly what I wanted. Thank you Cassandra!
Aside from the knowledge that I reap from each video, I really loved your tone of "Bye" at the end of this one. đâ€ïž
Omg the first product you have shown that I can purchase in NZ and I already use it!! The Heimish All Clean Balm is amazing.
7:35 After watching this video, I actually ordered Pacifica moisturizer because I needed one anyway. I am so glad I did, it is so good đđ». Thank you Cassandra đ
Aahh!!! Love you so much, Cassandra!!
I'm completely obsessed with my new K beauty essences you steered me towards đ„°đ„°đ„°
GREAT video! Loved it...so many terrific recommendations đ
And, yes please, to a video on devices! Can't wait for that! đ
Thank you for mentioning which skin care products to save or splurge on.
I LOVE Agency. It has transformed my skin like nothing else I've ever tried. And I've tried A LOT!
i livvvve for your content â€đ thank you this video is super useful !!
Yes please to the Save Vs Splurge for skincare devices!
You are glowing!!
Oh my god! XD That short with the furry editors and the "in the arms of the angels" in the background, you killed me to today, holy crap!
Seriously though, I love your content and your sass. Keep up the good work, and know that your hair looked very bouncy and beautiful today in my humble opinion (though it always looks fantastic, especially your natural curls)! Love you big sis đ
I only spend money on tretinoin, azalaic acid, vitamin C and sunscreen. The rest of my routine is pretty basic and cost effective
May I ask which vit c and azelaic acid use
Such a great and useful video! Thank you
Cassandra, please please please do a video for a super sensitive dry skin with rosacea( vascular rosacea!!!!). Like what products are safe, NEEDED or should be avoided. What ingredients to look for, what products I can use from the ordinary, actives that I can use(I want to try actives like azelaic acid, and peptides , but very afraid if my skin can handle them). You have so much on your channel but I am still confused about what I can really do with my skin type and its concerns. And thank you for your videos , and the knowledge you share!!!!! So informative and helpful that we are so lucky to learning it for free. Stay safe!
Loveeeeee thissssssâ€ïžâ€ïž
My luxury item is one of my cleansers - Aesop Parsley Seed oil cleanser. It's the nicest texture, glides on great, smells great, emulsifies like a champion and leaves the skin very happy. (it's one of 6 cleansers I own though, so it doesn't run out too quickly). And I just bought the Pyunkang Yul toner as recommended as a cheapy amazing option!
I use an inexpensive cream called Illiyoon ceramid ato concentrate as moisturiser- this has holy grail status in kbeauty and then I focus on good serum ingredients that target my skin concerns. First treatment essences are a treat and essences come in mist bottles too which I love. Sunscreen- i use La Roche Posay the light one.
*LIKED* thanks for helping ya girl out!
Thank you so much! There are two product categories I'd love to hear about from you: face oils and overnight masks đ This is my "feel fancy" step in my skincare routine and maybe you have recommendations for acne prone skin?
Best part was puppers what a sweet baby â„ïž thank you for the valuable info đ
I love it when I see her talking about items I already use from kbeauty. Makes me feel like Iâm doing some thing right lol
ahaha sameee gurll
Peach and Lillyâ€
Recently picked up a couple of their items at Ulta. (they were doing a mini kit too)
Iâm hooked.đ€©đ€©
Hi Cassandra, have you reviewed Saint Jane skincare before and if not, I'd be really interested in seeing one! đ thank you for everything you do btw!!
Great video! Can you please do a video for establishing skincare for men. Also please do one about acids how much acid is too much and how to create a routine using different acids.
Omg! Yes I want the video on skincare tools!!
Cassandra please make a video about products from Good Molecules! Would love to hear your thoughts about it. Also, recommend us what are the products that you'd highly recommend. Thank you and stay beYOUtiful!
My routine
Oil cleanser (coconut)= < 5 euros
Cleanser= < 4
Retinol = < 35
Vit c=
Awesome info!!! I recently got a wonderful smelling and feeling cleanser (avanti's blue gel) in my boxycharm, but was devastated to see it was actually $110 retail (was this the one you were referencing lol?), thinking I'll never be able to afford such a nice product...then I read the ingredients, lol they even put dimethicone on the "star ingredient" list, so I knew something was up (I actually like a smidgen of dimethicone in leave-on products, but it ain't no star ingredient lol). Turns out it is a perfectly fine cleanser with a really nice smell & lovely touch feel (hi dimethicone), but it's mostly sold to subscription boxes, so they jazz up the price ridiculously. I am using it up ofc, it's a nice "spa experience" product, but happily sticking to my good cheap hydrating cleansers that are 100% as effective. Well, actually the cheaps are better at hydrating, but since I have large pores I always get oily skin products like this, some of which are fantastic for smoothing if they get layered under other moisturizers, btw.
Please do the device video!!!! Great video as always!
Yessss would love to know what devices you recommend.
I would LOVE a video on skincare devices that are and are not worth the price tag! That would be awesome đ
Me tooooo
I only "splurge" on my serums. My sunscreen costs $4 at Aldi, hallelujah for Australian sunscreen standards đđ
Yes, please do the video on the tools!
my favourite moisturiser is the NIVEA Sensitive Night Cream, I do not care that it's 2 bucks, I use it under retinol, I use it over the ordinary's buffet, I use it on it's own when my skin is angry. I am willing to splurge on sleeping masks, I need that moisture sealed innnn, babyyy
PLEASEEEEE do a video on skincare tools! I'm so curious
It makes me anxious to see those people touch their skin with the dropper đđđđđ
One of your best videos! Peach and Lily Treatment Essence is 1/2 off today Saturday at Ulta! đâ€đźđ
Would love to see a review of the Attitude sunscreen sticks. It is vegan, cruelty free, and in paper packaging.
You just earned a new sub đ
I love your videos! I like that you try everything and give honest feedback. What are your thoughts on The History Of Whoo Bichup aka Yoon Cream? Iâm wanting to splurge on a moisturizer like you mentioned but donât want to be out $300 because of a brand. Or even the brand Tatcha (the dewy skin cream)
I love you! I think a video about light therapy devices of different sizes, and manufacturers would be extremely helpful. I don't have a clue as to what I need as a 62 year old with advanced signs of ageing. Please help.
Hiii, could you please do a review of the light therapy hats/helmets? Are they even working (the at home versions), and if yes - which one should we use? Thank you so much †Struggling with hair loss is a nightmare đ
A video about what gadgets are the best investment would be helpful. Ive been thinking on investing in red light treatment for pain and weakness in my hand and arm as i hear its good for pain as well as anti ageing
I cry when people tell me they spend over $200 on their regular skincare, especially when I am the frugal person who buys $8 Target toner
Right, my current routine products range from $9-30 (and the $30 one will last a year), and it gets close to $150 over the course of a year, and that is enough to make me cringe. I wasn't doing anything for anti-aging or acne/hyperpigmentation in my 20s, but I probably usually only spent $10/year then; wash and go.
@@lygophilia4127 Majority of my products aren't for a specific "issue", granted I have some acne and anti-aging stuff, but nothing is specifically for one issue. The most I have spent on a single product is maybe $20? I usually stick to generic and off-brand products
Your top is beautiful!
Love your videos you have changed my skin for the better đđ Iâm in NZ and we are limited for brands here⊠any chance of a the ordinary and the ink key less video⊠for someone over 45⊠who gets hormonal acne ??? And wants to fight laugh lines??? I would love This đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°đ„°đđ„°đ„°đđ„°đ„°
Love from Slovenija... allways great videos... big huxxx from Ljubljana
I was just watching a video from Tati (glam life guru) and she was partnered with a brand called Medi cube. She used a few skincare devices and I'm super curious what your thoughts are. Maybe you can do a reaction video and give us your personal & professional opinions on those tools. They are quite expensive so I want to hear you speak on them since you aren't sponsored.
I just got some new skincare and I have to share:
I have dehydrated acne prone skin
The versed blemish calming cream cleanser! MY SKIN ISNâT GETTING AS DRY OR OILY DURING THE DAY iâve never rebought a cleanser but this might be the one
The versed dew point moisturizer! Really easy to spread and absorbs quickly ( I jse Haru Harus rice water toner so that might contribute to the ease of spread)
Saturday skin Yuzu sleeping mask! I love this shit (if you buy ss on stylevana you can get their styff for under 20 bucks)
I also got a Bakuchiol eyecream from Haru Haru (also stylevana) and itâs nice
Majority of skincare creators who's done a video like this says serums is where to put your money. Hyram have also said he put his money on sunscreens as well.
Still interested in led red light therapy. Iâd love to hear what you think of whatâs out there.
Great video!!
100% pure Australian tea tree oil is the best spot treatment I've ever used in my life - nothing EVER worked. It's like $12, 100% natural, and flattens a pimple literally in a few hours. One application with a q tip and it's dead - nature is amazing!!
Yes please more on devices!
Things Cass made me buy XD
I love love that Jin Jung Sung essence. So worth the money spent
I also use the pyunkang yul skincare products and the essence is my favorite
My BHA is $40 (Paula's Choice) and my Vit C is $40 (Timeless) - (all Canadian $ incl shipping) so I go economy whenever possible
Merciii
Great video!
What books did you read in school to be a medical aethetician on skin?
Save: Cleanser, toner, sunscreen, spot treatment
Splurge: Moisturizer, serum, essences, oil
Oh yes, PLEASE! Do a video about devices!
Cassandra maybe doesnât know but she actually does philosophy of skincare omg
I remember Johnson's pH 5.5 facial wash from the 90s. Is it any good compared to today's products?
Hi Cassandra!
Would love to know your opinion on the Lyma laser!
Yes please with the device video!!!!!!!
CASANDRA STAYS SLAYING
Shared for the fur babies! đ đ¶ đ±
Would like a video on light therapy masks vs the newer ones that are like the size of a small towel that you can bend and lay under. Are they worth the money, if so should you get the $100 or $500 ones is there a difference? Thanks
The 9% BHA spot treatment from Paula's Choice is worth every penny.
Good morning from Greece! Please, please make a similar video for the devices!đ
Hey beautiful, can you please do a video on Madonnaâs skin care MDNA and beauty roll? Thank you!
Hi girl, can you do a review about The Outset products, please.
I would love a device video!!!!
I loved this video! I needed a cheap spot treatment for acne for my poor life partner, Jake, who is 44 and still battles with acne. I am all for cheaper but quality skin care products except for SKII. It used to be $100 and now on Amazon it's $53!! I still have yet to convince Jake that I need this because it's 90% pitera whereas your k beauty knock off probably doesn't have as much pitera. I say good for you but I still want SKII.
Don't tell me my essences aren't a necessity, lol. Now that I have them in my life I don't ever want to be without them. Jin Jung Sung is awesome as is pyungkang. Also love my vegreen yam mucin plus several others. They make the biggest difference in my dry leaning sensitive skin. Skin feels better to live in and looks so good.
So I just removed SKll from my shopping cart. Thanks Cassandrađ
Yes pleaseeee for a skintelecual devices save or splurge!!!
Guacamole yes! Always and forever â„ïž
On your Forreo Charging moment. Go buy a cheap $10 philps electric face razor. The charger fits perfectly! I've had both the ufo and luna 2 for over 4 years, lost the charger ages ago. đ
Hi Cassandra, I have horrible cystic acne. Do u know what products could help ?
FYI La Mer has a sunscreen đ In my opinion it's good to splurge on serums and essences with nice actives
I would love to see a video on which devices are worth it
Yes !!! Devices ! Iâm thinking of investingâŠ..Iâve got wrinkles and sagging skin. Iâve got a feeling the sagging skin problem is only fixed by a facelift tho' đ
Hi Cassandra, I want to replace the Ordinary SubQ Skin serum. I believe they have discontinued it. Do you have any suggestions?
I'm new to this whole skin care thing. Unfortunately, I'm a smoker, too, and feel I need to be extra kind to my skin because of that.
I see a lot of recommended products and what to use, but I don't know how to figure out what compliments one another. All of these could be great stand alone products, but how do I know they go well together for an actual daily routine?
