- Jack Kruse
Dr. Jack Kruse is a neurosurgeon who had an awakening in 2007 when he suffered a torn meniscus in his knee at 6’2”, 357 lbs. This led to his further study of physics, light, magnetism, and electricity. He ultimately concluded that modern medicine lacked a deep understanding of how humans function in relation to the natural world.
Kruse has written extensively on the Paleo diet and the brain-gut connection. In addition to being a neurosurgeon and author, Kruse is CEO of Kruse Longevity Center, a health and wellness company dedicated to helping patients avoid the healthcare burdens we typically encounter as we age.
He published his first book titled Epi-Paleo Rx: The Prescription for Disease Reversal and Optimal Health in 2013. His blog continues to reveal new insights on health exclusive to Kruse’s ongoing research.
Andrew Huberman
Dr. Andrew Huberman is a neuroscientist and the host of The Huberman Lab podcast which discusses science and science-based tools for everyday life. It is one of the most popular podcasts on earth.
Huberman is a tenured professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Huberman’s research on the visual system, neural regeneration, and brain states has been published in top peer-reviewed journals and publications like Nature, Scientific American, and Time.

I am a testiment of reversing myopia. Over the last 2 years my eye sight has gotten significantly better. From a -2.5 to a -1.5. My optometrist was floored. I quit wearing my sunglasses for the most part and have been spending significantly more time outside. I switched to a high fat animal based diet which I believe plays an important role as well. Thank you Rick Ruben, Andrew Huberman, and Jack Kruse 🙏 for spreading these amazing insights and information
That's weird, why do your eyes hurt and become red if you spend hours outside without sunglasses ???

God I love Jack Kruse, all the podcasts I see so many people offended by how he talks which only further suggests to me that poeple care more about his attitude than all the valuable information he is providing. He is right. Only the wisest will listen and thrive, the rest of you will die suffering because you were to offended by how he talks.
Scary
When Jack makes Huberman sound like a first year university student. My brain hurt listening to part 1 and 2 of this epic podcast. It's like doing pull ups for the brain. Worth every minute. Changed my life like nothing else!
You haven’t seen or heard anything yet 😊
Kruse is a weopon we all get to carry. NOBODY can take it away once you get it. Pass it along.
true but also Uncle Jack says birds are mammals and no one corrects him so wtf guys. mammals like mammary gland like nursing the young with milk. anyone ever milk a bird lol
1) Jack Kruse is a brilliant mind in many respects, what some would say a polymath, and offers very challenging and thoughtful points of view. In many ways has expanded my knowledge or at least flex my knowledge acumen in the many ways he interconnect elements seemingly dissimilar until now.
2) His larger than empire state building issue is that he simply cannot hold a dialogue because a) has this intractable (and plainly wrong) know-it-all attitude that he projects, and even brags about, in a sort of I have the truth, nobody else. B) it is simply impossible for him to complete a sentence or train of thoughts without going off a tangent or switching to another topic half way. C) he is obsessed with saying his view often interrupting or talking over the rest carelessly.
3) As a result, even he is trailblazing as he believes he is doing, he is sabotaging his whole messianic attempt because he cant transmit an idea or thought. No matter how brilliant he may be; if you cannot communicate effectively, it's all waste.
4) Those who think he is "schooling" Huberman, ppffleaase. That is adolescent. Huberman simply has the communication skills Jack Kruse lacks. Huberman could go ballistic but he choses to be a good host and allows Jack to express, keeping polite and sympathetic.
All in all amazing conversation, and Im sure we are all happy to be like flies in a wall, listening attentively.
100%. It is sad that he doesn’t realize how much he is getting in his own way by being so abrasive
It’s so crazy how something so simple as limiting exposure to blue light and harmful electromagnetic fields and get more Sun, eat more fat, sleep and grounding is all we need to fundamentally to be healthy. But the process is extremely complex. This shows us the divine creators work. Praise to the most high. The information in this podcast is amazing!!!
sunlight is highly concentrated in blur light
This is being shadow banned wow.. the best podcast episode I have ever heard in my life. Thank you guys soooo much.
It's being shadow banned ... how did you come to notice? This trend is definitely a worry. This information is important and deserves to be straightforward to access.
No it's not. Stop looking for conspiracy in everything.
Everything is shadow banned for those who operate from fear but we are photoelectromagnetic and therefore we attract the stuff we need irrespective of those who seek to control once we transcend our fears by choosing not to fear. Namaste
It’s not being shadow banned it’s just a long podcast from a not so well known podcast, that is a bit difficult to understand
What just happened?

i love Dr Jack Kruse! he just needs to realize when he is preaching to the choir, Huberman is open minded and always improving his understanding of health so theres no technical disagreements just more or less ignorance or focus on importance of light
Thank you for releasing this, Rick!
jack kruse is fighting the matrix with this one. i thought all of the doctors out there were lost souls going off of what the person before them said, not doing any of their own work/investigating/reasoning. im glad to see that people like jack exist. i was not at the convention during 2014, but i am now one of those people who want to hear more of what jack has to say.
Yes he is!! And the loser Tate is an insult to the actual warriors against the matrix
Right?
Dr Kruse often went off on a tangent when answering a question from Dr Huberman & while demonstrating some amazing knowledge/insights, I think (Dr Kruse) lacked empathy & some basic communication skills during the conversation. Profound podcast, thank you.
yeah he needs to work on his bedside manner 🤣 i get why he is so worked up though, he is trying to get us back to the natural paradigm of health which has always been the truth and hopefully help decentralize medicine to prevent the healthcare monopoly that is actually keeping us sick
Just what I'm looking for in a mentor, someone who doesn't bogg themselves down in being pleasing towards the general public.
Intellect is just a fart in the wind if not tethered to soundness of mind, marked by a familiarity with appropriate protocol and evidence that you value questioning yourself more than becoming cemented in certainty. Yeah, he seemed to take himself too seriously.

WARMODE!
Dude this is blowing my mind. Im a mechanical/electrical engineer (definitely not chemical or biological) so I'm kindof understanding. I'm at the part (39:54) where Kruse is talking about why nature does this and why WE survived the cataclysm. We make light! Melanin, dude wuuuuuut?!?!

0:31:55 at this moment something incredible happened; as soon as Jack said that we are addicted to the sun. A small hole opened up in the clouds outside in my backyard. The only time all day that the sun popped directly out. So I paused this podcast and ran outside to soak it in and got some grounding while I was at it.
I also had an epiphany. What if the hair on top of our heads play a huge role in absorbing light energy for our brains??? Maybe it is wise that we grow our hair out. What if balding is an unnatural phenomenon cause by multiple factors of not living in accordance with our evolved natural way of living in nature???
❤❤❤I love Rick + Dr.Kruse, now + Huberman= win win win. I listened to these 3xs now!
I dunno how I find myself super interested in this type of topic. Still, this amaze me and my brain is open to take in so much information.
How beautifully the story about minerals/metals fits into this, how important they are for building bones and keeping body in balance.
So the two most healing things from nature, Sun and the Sea, actually illuminate our body and are completely free of charge🌅
Groundbreaking! One of the most insightful talks I’ve heard in the last years. Changes that could make the delivery of this content much more engaging and understandable are an actual dialogue with Andrew & Rick, clarity on impact and practical actions. Big respect to Uncle Jack’s genius mind, however he could be so much more impactful with less of a patronizing and technical communication style. I hope he improves on this to reach greater audience and big collaboration opportunities! 🙏🏻
Absolutely. At times I found myself barely "holding on" during the pod (and I have a solid science background and medical training). I'd love to hear a distilled version of this with graphics (as others in the comments have asked for).

Thank you for providing this podcast. I am familiar with the work of both guests. I have only one complaint. As a non-native English speaker, I would appreciate English subtitles.
I am trying to catch up on all of these podcasts and I was really excited to listen to this. However, it was not for me. The condescending attitude of Dr. Jack Kruse towards AH made this really hard to listen to, so much so I don't think I'm able to listen to part two. I think what Dr.K spoke about was really interesting and I might want to read about it, but I do not think I can handle the personality behind it.
I do believe however, this podcast is a testimony to AH's ability to listen and continue to explain complex ideas which is his wheelhouse.
Unfortunately that is his personality. He has explained in other podcast why. He has been laughed at for decades by people about how important the sun is. Which has made him this way.
I'm a peasant and I believe Dr Kruse needs to put together a book with all his knowledge in my language so I can understand so I can understand better.
I didn't understand the majority of the information in this podcast, but still found it fascinating.
This was incredible !!!!! Thank you 🙏

Dr.Kruse, is the body able to eventually regain its ability to produce vitamin D if they stop taking the synthetic supplement?
The Moody blues during the psychedelic exploration era talked about the “sight of a touch or the scent of a sound” in the search of lost chord album.
Very excited to watch this 🤩 Thanks guys 🙏🏾
Utterly mind blowing. Comprehensive Kruse.
Sonoluminescence is a source of light from sound waves in water. Ive never heard Jack mention what it might do in structured water. I think the importance is why classical music and others drive light priduced to thrill us. Ive felt it with some hymns and soul music, too. Ode to Joy IS an ode to joy, which is one of fhe fruits of the spirit made right in the light.
The medical team that I am a part of and medically trained by use RED and BLUE light wound therapy. It is AMAZING how we heal gunshot, stabb wounds, bed soars , botched surgeries, etc. The skin regeneration that takes place right before my eyes with NO meds . The AMA absolutely does not and will not indorce the procedure. SAD .
This interview is exceptional. Very clear truths

Fascinating ✨️
Jack Kruse has incredible knowledge but the way he abuses huberman’s intelligence by posturing like a middle school bully is so “small pee pee energy.” I still want to learn what he has to say but his antics are killing me. Meanwhile Huberman is an awesome example of a man dedicated to his work but also to personal development. He handled Jack with such decorum
😂
I get that, but as I’m listening again Huberman sounds dumb
Agree 100%. It's hard for me to listen
Huberman is a moron compared to Uncle Jack
Huberman learned a great deal from Kruse. Kruse was the original. My daughter told me so much of this stuff 15 years ago when she was only early 20s. She learned from Kruse… way before Huberman even thought of podcasts. I love Huberman, too… but Kruse is the master at this stuff . He’s lived it. He’s learned it.
Dr. Jack is a great communicator. One of the best I listen to. However, and I am not a specialist, some of Dr. Jack's theory about magnetism and frequency do not add up. I do not know if it truly affects our biology but part of is definitely inaccurate from a physics point of view.
I truly want to believe his theory as I am convinced there is a lot of truth to this.l and that part of it can make us advance as a society. Maybe more than AI.
Also,tThis should have been a debate and not a monologue. Next time this is done, Dr. Jack needs to bite the bullet and also face an astrophysicist and professionals/engineers in physics/quantum and thermodynamic. Not to fact check him on biology and his medical practice but on their specialty. You cannot defend such a wild thesis about how everything is influenced by physics while facing only a neuroscientist and a music producer. Maybe he should get research organized to test his revolutionary theory instead of defending it in a podcast.
I really want to believe. I mean it. However, Dr. Jack needs to try harder and use support his theory tested by scientists and have his pair reviewed and challenge his work. He should know this is how you advance science - with real scientists using an organized methodology. No offense to anyone here, but this is not what you get from podcast listeners. He should know this as he studied and worked in Standford. Doing this would surely sells fewer books though...
Yea hard to pick out the bs. As some holds partial truths
Hard to get this done when you exhibit traits of a narcissist sadly.
Seriously good podcast. I listened to it in the car or was that part two.
Super interesting stuff, i've tried to digest this and some of his blogs but his communication is so freaking technical. Can anyone translate the actual recommendations in plain english? What are the actual protocols when it comes to protect oneself from blue light, nnEMFs, etc.
Whenever Huberman tries to get him to explain it simply he goes on a tanget. For someone who will not be able to move to between the 13th and 28th latitude. I understand being out in the sun as much as possible and being grounded.
Should we always use blue light blocking glasses when exposed to artificial lights? Sleep with grounding sheets? Are there things i've missed that should be obvious from this discussion?
You can keep reading his material on his blog and patreon which naturally gets into practicals. But Uncle Jack would rather us research and deduce for ourselves. You can also buy his book. This is not an ad.
I ask chatgpt to explain it to me like a 5 year old and that usually gets me over the hump🤷🏾♂️
@@calebthomasmusic9246well that answer was a complete waste of time
No one ever has an answer. Just a bunch of convoluted fluff. It’s extremely irritating
i think a lot of what jack does is to try to get the listener to A. change the way they perceive medical/health information B. also dig into the topics at hand to garner more knowledge-lead u down ur own rabbit hole so to speak. more so than give steps & protocol.
but, in terms of protocols, he gives a lot of technical information that kinda falls in line with others who adhere to tuning the body with our natural/ancestral circadian rhythm of the sun. i think it can only go as far as you wanna take it. i mean u can give up blue light entirely but how will u exist in the modern world so you have to have buffers but also lifestyle changes like…
1. waking up on the rise (sunrise)
2. sunning your balls/naked body if possible first 15-20 min when u wake up
3. going to sleep 2 hrs+ before midnight
4. wearing red shade, blue light blockers when the sun goes down
5. using good quality ambient red light in ur living space when home after sun down
6. don’t use ur phone the first hour ur awake
7. grounding to the earth. you could probably use good quality, magnetic grounding mat/sheets on bed but grounding to the natural earth as much as possible can’t be beat
9. idk ab how to mitigate sunscreen so that requires further research…
hope this helped!

I promise you, when you learn it, all that you've found will make even more sense.
P.s.
Spent 8 hours from 6 am until 230 pm sleeping in the sun and bathing in the icy ocean... And I've been on a high since hearing this podcast. I pray Huberman adapts too
Wondering if lights in our dreams or lights and visuals during a psychedelic Journey, have any effects similar to sunlight or possibly to light the we create within ourselves maybe that’s an expression of that light?
Awesome podcast 🥹🥹 can you please put the subtitles on?
This was great.

I'm 75 years old. Day time temperature is between 32 and 40C here in Thailand where I live. I have vitaligo. I have to avoid the sun. So I have to take the d3 supplements. I never knew that there was a cure for vitaligo.
@@mrcadoiawhere can I find them pls?
Would love to hear about alternatives to glasses/contacts. Visual aid is pretty necessary for my life, but I'm open to suggestions.
Ya love it when people say don't do something but not give alternatives. I have bad vision and can't do normal things withoutj them.
Crazy knowledge podcast. Dope jack
How have I not heard of this podcast now?
There were so many points where I wanted to pause and ask for a deeper explanation. Fascinating but hard to follow along. I have more questions than answers. 🤔
1:20:25 "You don't have to see all of reality" - this sounds like a similar sort of thing to what Professor Donald D. Hoffman has been saying
Great chat, cheers boys
It's weird how many references Kruse shares with Peat while seeming to have had inky disdain for him, but I suppose that's his way. Szent georgi, ling, pollack, the fingertip regrowth, all pure Peat.
Andrew Huberman is a sage. He is so patient while Jack is spewing information like a fire hose.
Huberman is actually quite narcissistic, just like all of these doctors and scientists. He is just very covert & skilled at fawning. It is important to him to be likeable.
@@insertmyidentityhereuhh what?? You know he’s pretending somehow..interesting
@@insertmyidentityhere I think it's important to most people to be likeable and I have never gotten the impression that he is a narcissist.
@danieldelaney768 Yeah me neither, not one bit. Sounds like this person has been reading up on narcissism and is doing some projecting..
It's important to most people to be likable. It's a highly desirable trait to be likeable, and is essential for collaborating with others. Be very wary of those you sound angry and speak loudly...
I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for this podcast... thank you for this 'wholy' trinity of wisdom. All in a mustard seed .
1:09:04 Nice touch here by RR.. the session master works his magic.
I don't doubt the brilliance of kruze but his language and tangents are nauseating. I wish he would some have patience when huberman asks for clarification, instead of getting defensive.
So often defensive reactions to questions are simply not having the answer.
@@AlCooksSimple I have mixed thoughts on the subject. On one hand, people preach that if you can't explain something in simple terms, it means you don't understand it. On the another hand, I think some people struggle to communicate their thoughts, which I would find frustrating myself.
Hes not defensive. Hes matter of fact because govt and major pharmaceutical have brainwashed us and hes trying to bring people back to reality @AlCooksSimple
Please share in video format too, I miss watching something!
I politely wanna feedback: I am about 40min in and find the topic pretty interesting, yet having a hard time concentrating on it. I am having an issue, with Dr. Kruse's communication style - "you will disagree on... you will get h*** on... that's correct... that is bullshit...". Can't hear a "conversation" as of yet.
I sometimes feel, maybe that's one of the big issues when it comes to medicine: A lot of scientists and doctors feel to think, they know it all and only they are right. For example about nutrition and diet: One hears from people, how get healthy from severe illnesses through raw vegan diet. Others get the biggest issues, by eating a lot of raw. Ayurvedic and traditional chinese medicine think warm, cooked meals are important. Some seem to thrive on a ketogenic diet, others seem to get really sick. Some smoke and party, become 90 and barely ever catch a cold. Some swear for supplements, others say they are dangerous...
Maybe everybody is right in a way. I feel, we humans have a lot of things in common, yet, we seem to be different. True "conversations" and informing of what sbdy has found to be valid in combination with trying to understand, how a specific human and his body functions and what could be healthy for her/him, might be of value💚
Great comment
As is typical with Kruse, there is no conversation. It is simply a monologue.
Shoutout WAR MODE 💫
Thank you so much! The dynamics between you is amazingly delicious 😍
I must disagree with Jack when he says filtering out fluoride is unimportant.
It is absolutely necessary for these groups: pregnant mothers, formula fed infants and any age with halide sensitivity.
I was blasé about promoting “high dose” dietary iodine until finding the book “The Hidden Cause of Acne” by Melissa Gallico. Melissa is one of the small minority of humans who are hypersensitive to halides.
Also, there are many areas around the world with very high levels of fluoride from natural deposits that must be filtered to avoid abnormal bone development etc.
International Society for Fluoride Research Inc. (ISFR) for more information.
Jack made the same points as you years ago. I guess he contradicts that at some point here...
@@boostinggtirtimenot really contradicts. Just kinda skims over it like old news and not wanting to get into it
Structured water does the filtering by keeping it out of the tissues, just like heavy metals in the seafood he touts. He says don't worry about them. DHA in the seafood optimizes formation of structured water by creating the optimal hydrophilic surfaces for it to form upon.
@@swen6797 Thank you. That is an interesting possibility. Have you heard Jack talk about what he considers a healthy amount of dietary iodine?
@@ScottCousland he says eat seafood, starting with raw oysters; the densest with all the nutrients DHA, zinc, iodine, etc.. DHA itself is higher in other seafoods.seafood.
He has also said gut issues manifest in the skin as Hippocrates said long ago. Gut issues are handled by choosing your light appropriately. If the studies ever control for sunlight exposure, they would get useful results. I'd say it's likely iodine isn't the whole story of acne.
Isn't acne an activated detox pathway? The prime understanding of sunlight and autophagy in night is to control chronic inflammation; control that results in detox, including the fluoride and heavy metals getting out of the body.
At 1:49 it was said that something thins the retina. Was that melatonin or MSH peptide?
Exogenous melatonin
It will take another 5 decades for people what dr. Kurse is saying..

I'm an ignorant men but around 1.20.00 Jack said that metastasis is a good thing? Can someone help me to understand how it can be good? Thanks to anyone that help me.
Could someone make an high quality summary of this? It all seems fascinating, but I haven’t reached that “Eureka, fuck I get it, moment” yet, somehow I struggle to understand what Jack says.
Listen to every Dr. Kruse podcast, and you will understand. It's like a foreign language at first. Hang in there. You will end up armed with a weopon.

What potential effects do you see on Nuro plasticity from Neuralink?
At about the 136 min mark, Rick is discussing the open heart surgery he had, and that he went to THE best cardiac surgeon in the world for this surgery. I am curious what his diagnosis was, what specific type of cardiac surgery he had, and the name of the surgeon and what hospital? If this is info that Rick has shared before, please share these details. If he has not shared this info previously, then I understand that completely.
I'm a fan of Huberman. Don't know Dr. Kruse. My initial prejudice says that he is sounding very conspiratorial and like a guru who is the only one with some revealed knowledge. But I'm only 40 minutes in. Let's see what's up with him lol
His lack of humbleness an self assertive tone made it difficult for me to like him and absorb his message regardless of how interesting it may be.
It is for sure an obstacle to learning about what Kruse is saying; he's pretty abrasive. I think he's actually getting a little better than he was years ago. And it is telling that someone like Rick Rubin, who speaks very softly and with empathy, has chosen to highlight Kruse and his ideas. Kruse is like a scientific iconoclast, and Rick has worked with many iconoclasts and can see the value in what he's bringing to the table--health/life is all about LIGHT, people--even if Kruse isn't a grade A communicator.
Listened to many ppl like kruse who think they have it all figured out when nobody else in the world does and every single one of them turned out to be full of it. I doubt cruze is any different.
The man is certainly confident. In a way that sometimes begs caution.
What are the chances of publishing a copy of ‘The Creative Act’ with Dr Kruse’s notes and scribbles? Would pay good cash for that!
It occurs to me that Love Is Blue as theme music at the beginning is a bit funny.
So fire
Looking desperately for the part when jack recommends music?
Is there anyone who has interviewed him and actually forced him to explain everything he says? He’s leaving all these breadcrumbs but it feels like they’re going nowhere. I can’t make out the big picture even though he says he gave it for the first time ever. If he did it’s in all those breadc in a that point in 100 different directions at entire subjects like quantum electrodynamics that o don’t understand. We need a “science communicator” to parse everything into understandable language and explain all the references.

Jack Si is not photo conductive. GaAs or InP both III-V wide band substrates are the common optoelectronic chrystals but we have to dope them. This is why I am interest in the topic, but I am still listening....
Si is definitely photoconductive. When you shine visible light on it it generates large numbers of free charge carriers which greatly enhances the electrical conductivity.
@@robertleechin923 fair point. It just is not feasible to construct a photoemitting diode in the visible range.
