Ola loves his arpeggios. He’s very musical, and as far as I’m concerned, has mastered his applications of them. You can tell they’re very Jeff Loomis/Nevermore influenced. The GT1000 is a cherry 🍒 on top of this handsome CAKE.

This has me reconsidering the GT-1000 Core... I wanted to tame distortion, overdrive, and fuzz for my acoustic guitars and this would put it all in one pedal with a shit-ton of tone shaping effects... Makes alot more sense than buying individual pedals... Thanks for this little eye-opening demo... 🙂

That little percussive bit before you were like "I should practice more" immediately made me think of the percussive guitar bit in Into the Light Pt. 1 by Noneuclid.
As soon as I heard the first 2 chord bits of "Kiss Me" I had a double-take. Then Ola started singing and it was just all I wanted today. xD

I suggest you blend in your mic into the signal chain or add an impulse response of an acoustic guitar (you can "hit" the resonance box with a sweep to make your own IR).

Ola shredding on an acoustic! I love the GT-1000 for its effects, but all the metal amps suck compared to the GT100. Since the GT100 is discontinued, I traded my GT1000 in for a Helix Rack + Control.

@meme While mentioning voicing, I mean that how to get dark/deep/satanic(?) sounds in the chords. Thank you for the answer and I know what you mean, I am looking a sound you can find in "Feared-Live in you" or "Feared- A Regret". I can't "create/compose/find" these chords and I am wondering if there is a technique or theory that achive this problem. Thanks for the answer
Chose a scale, then find all the chords from this scale that use open strings.
Play one of those chords and then move to another of the same group making sure that you move the least amount of fingers in your left hand (this is good voice leading).
Here's the interesting part: if you are playing chords from aeolian you can borrow from dorian or phrygian. Again, you should get to these chords displacing the least amount of of fingers in your left hand.
Now for the "wow" part: you can always move from a minor chord to the major a half step below. It doesn't matter if you are out of key as long as you use good voice leading.
And now for the god-level chords: doing tastefully you can move from every minor chord to a minor chord a minor third above or below. Or major to major a minor third apart. (This will give you the opeth sound!)

I love the fact that you're not one of "those" electric guitarists who can't do any finger style playing but are just shredding along with solos and riffs. :)
You know your inversions, how to get the melody to travel on top of the chord, move the bass line etc.
I've seen so much worse from very highly skilled players otherwise :D

It's very Pink Floyd'esque that sound, it gives the sound some very nice accompaniment, background, atmosphere and space. Even basic chords sound like they have meaning. Could right songs with that thing, Pink Floyd's writing and production had depth was innovative now its just a pedal ☺️

Beautiful pedalboard that Nita Strauss used live with uncle Alice Cooper. Professional quality modulation and amp simulation. I've already thought about buying it to have it in live concerts! While for studio recording I recommend the tube preamp and eventide to get the best sound quality.

Tristram theme from Diablo was a nice touch, I was thinking the same thing for a number of those tones.
I got a Diablo vibe from the first few seconds of the video and wondered up until you started playing it if you would.
Your crackin me up Ola. I liked the video and I can relate to the fun your having exploring the sounds on the GT-1000. Those were some very nice acoustic renderings there. I've just starting working with the GT-1000 myself. Looking forward to see what I can do with it. I've seen some reviewers say that the acoustic or clean sounds are amazing but don't like the crunch or metal sounds of the GT-1000, but it has so many possibility's with all the different settings that one should be able tweak it to get satisfactory sounds for any genre from it. I hope that's the case. Thanks for the videos.

Diablo Tristram Theme is actually one of my favorite tracks to play on acoustic. It sounds beautiful in an eerie demeanor and I love it. Plus that I'm definitely not biased because the Diablo series is my favorite run of games ever.....>.>
