Great video, if you have the right tools, you can just take a 2x4 or a jack pad, jack and lift up the rear of the mower then take a impact and take the blades off, replace and then lower it back down. I personally don't want the side shooter on mine so I will take it off once I install the mulching kit. For being one handed you did a awesome job! Keep up the good work!
9:55 priceless piece of information. I’ve been looking all over for an explanation on blade installation. Excellent job explaining. Easy to understand too. Thank you!!!
Great video. I was installing the mulching kit for my T110 yesterday but had to find something that shows how the side cover is installed because the manual is horrible. I have a lift for my mower so I don't have to remove the deck but couple of things: (1) I didn't know the mower had a parking brake so thank you for that and (2) the manual says tighten the blade mounting bolts to 90 ft-lbs but I'm like you and go for what I think is tight enough (however, I have a torque wrench so I may use it) and (3) I removed the side discharge chute because I don't have to worry about hitting things with it. All in all an excellent video!

@Johnson's Small Engines Can you take off the mower chute that hangs over the cover? I have a 48" deck that has to fit through a 52" fence. The mulch plug alone would make passing through it a breeze.
My man again you are a God send. After watching 2 of your videos, I feel like I can fix anything on my riding mower broh. Not sure if you do, but do you have a snow blade video? I will definitely need to see that one. Stay safe kind sir and thanks for another perfect video
Great video. But a lot of work to switch out the blades. What I did with my T110 was jack up the mower with a floor jack and swapped out the blades. I've never taken the deck off.
You do you and to each their own. I would never show or tell millions of people to jack up there machines to change the blades. I show how to correctly perform the task and be safe doing it.
I’m glad it was helpful and thank you for the kind comment. Please give this video a like, subscribe and tell your friends about my channel to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for watching:)
Hey, did you jack it up and switch without all the steps? Asking cause I'm doing the same shortly. Seems like a jack and some blocks would achieve the same result with 2 minutes of work.
I tried to make videos as safe as possible. I would never tell somebody to take off that cover. I cannot do it as I am a shop in business and that is a legal issue. Most people tend to take off their mulching covers when they’re not needed and if you have that safety cover off the machine, then you are in danger of hurting yourself or somebody else with a big opening.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Thanks, I do not see a reason why I would switch back to a traditional blade. What would I do that for? And I'm not saying I'll throw the chute out or the existing blades, I just don't see a reason to keep it on, it serves no purpose?
Hi Tim, both blade nut threads are right thread on. Not sure what part you are talking about but there are no parts list with this kit. I will assume you would need to look that up on a parts breakdown. I do not do many kit installs and I do not offer it. The customer gave me the kit. Thank you for watching, commenting and supporting the channel!
Great video. I have a question though. I've had a mulching kit on my Craftsman pro series 46-inch lawn tractor since 2017. I was always wondering if I could operate my mower WITHOUT the grass chute since it only serves to catch on walls, trees, etc., when trying to mow next to the object? It serves no purpose at all on my mower.
As long as the mulching cover is on and covering the large hole that is very dangerous to leave uncovered. You should be fine and can take the side discharge chute off. Most people will use a bungy to keep chute up out of the way of objects.
Very nice instruction video. I need to order the mulching cover for my Craftsmen T110 model 13AN77XS093 but cannot find the correct part on Amazon using search. I do not want to order the whole mulching kit as I have just replaced the blades. I would appreciate it if you could help me. Thanks.
You can just search it on the internet to find the mulching cover but I do not think you will get all parts needed to correctly install the cover without purchasing the kit.
I have no idea as I do not recommend to any of my customers to ever use the mower deck wash system. In my opinion, The deck washing system will ruin mower, deck bearings.
The Bauer electric impact I’ve been using for about three years now and it’s been good. I must say though some of the real tough larger blade nuts that have been on machines for a while it will not break them loose and then I pull out my earthquake that I purchased from Harbor freight and that will basically take care of everything but it is a little heavier. You can check out the reverse foot pounds of torque on the website before you purchase I like all my Bauer electric impacts. I have three eights and half inch then my Milwaukee quarter inch which I would not purchase again I would just purchase one from HARBOR FREIGHT. All have been holding up good.
I personally have not ever seen your model machine. You must have a safety switch not allowing you to run the machine after removing the bagger. If your machine came with the bagger already on from the factory? You may not be able. I would suggest checking with the owners manual to see if there is a option to convert from bagging to side or rear discharge.

@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Done
My machine arrives tomorrow. If I have a jack and stands, theorettically could I just take the blades off and skip all the other steps?
Hey, did you jack it up and switch without all the steps? Asking cause I'm doing the same shortly. Seems like a jack and some blocks would achieve the same result with 2 minutes of work.
Excellent video, thank you. Is it alright if I use the mulch cover and leave the regular blades on the mower?
Yes but you may have clumping or clogging issues.
I think this kit fits the Murray MT100&MT200 If im not mistaken!
Great video! It helped me a lot! Q: why not take off the big chute? I think it would be better for cutting up against fences and trees. Thoughts?

My blades did not engage after install?
Impressive!
What if i have high lift gator blades? Do i have to replace them, if i simply want a mulch cover? 🤔
Are one of the blades under the deck left threaded? What is the name of the part above the blade the fastener goes into? I think one of mine broke

The bar that goes in the channel to hold the cover in place, do you know what the part # is? My kit didn't come with one. Thanks

Would the deck washing system work just as good?
